Coronation Street's Carla Connor is determined to make Lisa Swain her fianc?e next week, as she decorates their garden for a romantic proposal.
But after Carla's gesture goes awry, Lisa plans to pop the question instead. Will the pair finally get their act together?
"Has anyone ever seen Carla Connor so smitten? She dresses the garden then surprises Lisa with a huge grin on her face," our Corrie source reveals.
"Just one look at the pictures will show you how perfect it all looks ? but unfortunately, it doesn't turn out the way that Carla hopes. You'll have to wait and see why!"
Having already tried to propose once, the week begins with Carla confessing to Lisa's daughter Betsy that she'd like to try again, but only if Betsy is on board.
And thankfully, Betsy promises Carla that she is more than happy for her to go ahead.
Sadly, all Carla's effort with bunting and balloons is in vain when things don't work out. But Lisa does eventually hear about Carla's failed proposal from Betsy, which leads the copper to reveal that she has a plan up her sleeve. Is Lisa ready to ask her girlfriend to share a lifetime together?
"Let's hope that Lisa's efforts turn out better than Carla's," our insider continues. "Lisa is a romantic, even though she has a hard exterior. So, this plan of hers could involve anything.
"Might she enlist Betsy to help? Or will she keep it between her and Carla? At this point, we'd take any proposal as long as they're both happy!"

Coronation Street's Evelyn Plummer will return to the cobbles next week after six months away.
The fan favourite character (played by Dame Maureen Lipman) made the bold decision to pursue a law degree back in January and headed off to university.
In real life, Dame Maureen decided to take a step back from her full time role on the soap, instead appearing as a recurring guest star. At the time, she explained that she wanted to spend more time with her fianc?.
Evelyn briefly returned to Weatherfield in March and, after learning about Cassie's drug relapse, she stuck around to help her struggling daughter.
Next week's episodes will see the battle-axe back on our screens when she reconnects with her good friend Roy Cropper.
In scenes that will air on 5 September, Roy visits the hospital while suffering with a sore back and is delighted to bump into Evelyn.
As the pair get chatting, Roy catches Evelyn up on the street's recent goings-on. Evelyn doesn't wait for an invitation to Carla Connor and Lisa Swain's dinner party and arrives at the Bistro for the event.
Will the residents of Weatherfield be happy to see her?
Meanwhile, Carla and Lisa's dinner party could suggest a big celebration is on the cards. Following a failed proposal in the Rovers, Carla is determined to pop the question properly. But will things go to plan for the couple?
