    Exclamation Emmerdale Spoilers 4th - 8th August 2025

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/emm...ah-heartbreak/

Devastated Charity Dingle suffers a nasty fall in the woods on Emmerdale next week, spelling worrying consequences for her plan to become a surrogate for her granddaughter Sarah Sugden.

As Charity confides in her ex-partner Vanessa Woodfield, will she find the courage to tell Sarah that her baby dream could be over?

After Charity suggests a party to mark Sarah and Jacob Gallagher's engagement, the Dingle family begin prepping The Woolpack for the special occasion.

However, Charity's busy day takes a tragic turn when she feels the need to rush to the bathroom.

"Charity discovers that she's bleeding," explains our Emmerdale insider.

"She always knew there was a chance that Sarah's embryo might not take, but she still went ahead with the fertility procedure in the hope that she could give her granddaughter one last chance to be a mother.

"To realise that she's bleeding must be devastating, and it's no wonder that she turns to Vanessa in her moment of heartache. They might not be a couple any more, but Vanessa knows Charity better than anyone."

Earlier in the week, Charity and her husband Mackenzie Boyd head out on a walk through the woods, but Charity loses her footing and ends up taking a tumble.

With her fertility treatment in mind, Charity feels concerned, but ultimately convinces herself not to fixate on the fall. And when Sarah returns home, Charity commits to her decision to keep the day's events to herself.

Although it doesn't take long for Sarah and Jacob to continue fussing over their potential surrogate, which leads Charity to put forward the engagement party idea.

"It's a distraction technique," our source explains. "Charity's putting her fears to the back of her mind, so she finds it irritating when Sarah and Jacob keep checking on her.

"And with the accident secretly on her mind too, she needs something to keep herself occupied. It makes it even more tragic that she discovers the bleeding before the party even begins."

Later in the week, Mack promises Charity that he will support her and Sarah through thick and thin.

As Charity returns his sentiment with a distressed look in her eyes, what is going through her mind? And how will Charity cope knowing that Sarah's last chance to become a mum risks being shattered?

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/emm...union-problem/

After a gentle push from his brother Lewis, Emmerdale's Ross Barton finds himself reuniting with Steph Miligan next week.

One big problem could still stand in the couple's way, though. Will their rekindled romance be scuppered if Ross's saucy fling with Manpreet Sharma is exposed?

"Lewis is delighted with his matchmaking skills, but all his good work could unravel just as quickly," our Emmerdale insider warns.

"Ross makes a fatal error when he assures Steph that there have been no ladies in his life since they split up.

"Unfortunately, at the same time, Lewis and Ruby are both grilling Manpreet for details on her love life. Will a confession of her Barton bunk-up lead to a big bust-up?"

In early scenes for this storyline, airing this week, Lewis is intrigued when he learns about Ross's past with Steph. When she admits that she wishes things had turned out differently, Lewis decides to play Cupid.

Roping Ruby Miligan in on his plan in follow-on scenes next week, Lewis springs into action when he manages to orchestrate Ross giving Steph a lift to her therapy session after her car breaks down.

The trip gives them the chance to spend some time alone together, and seems to do the trick.

"Steph split with Ross because she knew she needed to concentrate on herself as she recovered from the revelations about her paternity," our source explains.

"But let's not forget how understanding and patient Ross was over everything Steph had to deal with ? the hard man revealed a soft side he rarely shows, and the strength of his feeling for this girl shone through. Now, it seems the time is finally right for the pair?"

Indeed, Ruby is delighted to arrive home to find Ross and Steph together again. Once alone, Steph suggests they take things upstairs, and Ross doesn't have to be asked twice.

The next day, the two decide to make things official, but as they chat, Ross tells a little white lie. Not wanting to rock the boat, he fibs to Steph that there has been novone in his life since they split, and together they look to a happy future.

However, Ross's deception could be about to bite him on the derri?re. During a lunch date with Manpreet, Lewis and Ruby, talk turns to Manpreet's love life.

Clearly sensing that the good doctor has some gossip, Ruby and Lewis are determined to get to the bottom of it ? but will Manpreet confess?

"As far as Manpreet is concerned, her time with Ross was just a silly bunk-up of no consequence," our source adds. "But it could have big consequences for Ross if she happens to blow their saucy secret?"

While Ross and Steph's future remains up in the air, we'll be seeing Steph disappear from the village for a time at least, as actress Georgia Jay heads off on maternity leave.

The star's pregnancy was first revealed back in June with a behind-the-scenes video showing off her baby bump.

"I know some of you have been wondering if you've been seeing a little bump on screen lately," she posted. "Well, it's not your imagination, I'm having a baby! We've never been so excited and a little nervous all at once. Thank you for all the love and support."

An unexpected saviour comes to Dylan’s rescue

April may have made an uneasy truce over Dylan with her dad Marlon, who only had his daughter’s best interests at heart. But with the wayward lad back in the village, the troubled teen only has eyes for him.

With the wound Dylan sustained breaking into Butler’s Farm now infected, he and April sneak into the vets in the hope of secretly cleaning him up.

But when they're suddenly interrupted by a shocked Paddy, the pair are terrified by what he might do next.

However, they’re both relieved that the kindly vet offers to patch him up and even gives Dylan a bed for the night after learning he’s homeless — although he’s unaware he’s in cahoots with Ray.

Fortunately, no one spots the bag of drugs in his rucksack that he’s agreed to deliver for the dodgy dealer.

Elsewhere, still in the dark about his husband’s killer past, Aaron is skeptical when John tries to persuade him to go easy on his brother, Robert. After a somewhat strange encounter at the shop, when his ex-husband suggests he’s thinking of leaving, Aaron's response gives Robert hope for the future. But what is he really up to?

And after playing matchmaker, Lewis joins forces with Ruby to persuade her daughter to give her relationship with Ross another go. The cafe co-owner spies the perfect opportunity to give the pair a nudge in the right direction after her car breaks down and she needs a lift to her therapy session and presents Ross as her knight in shining armour.

Vinny’s still struggling with his sexuality

After kissing Kammy, the mechanic was absolutely fine about the incident and brushed it off. But Vinny hasn’t stopped playing the moment over and over in his head, wondering why it happened and what it means.

When Laurel overheard he and Kammy discussing Vinny’s commitment to marrying Gabby, she urged him to be honest. But when his fianc?e collapsed just before their engagement party, he was terrified he’d lost her and, having been through that once before, he decided to go ahead with the wedding.

But when talking about Gabby’s "wedmin" with Mandy, he finds it hard to maintain enthusiasm to the oblivious beautician. And when Kammy presents him with a watch for his wedding, he can’t stop staring at his friend, with anything but just friendly thoughts.

Elsewhere, having managed to secretly make the drug drop, Dylan tells Ray that’s the last job he’s doing for him. But it seems Ray has other ideas.

Meanwhile, discussing the apparently reformed youngster in the Woolie, the penny finally drops for Paddy, Rhona and Marlon, who realise that Dylan was the person Kyle stabbed. Will Moira learn the truth?

And, when Ross and Steph wake up together, she asks him if he’s been with anyone else since their split.

And a walk in the woods proves dangerous when Charity takes a tumble while out with Mack. Telling herself she’s OK and no harm done, she decides not to tell Sarah about the fall.

    Wednesday

It's party time in Emmerdale But not everyone’s in the mood to celebrate.

Having played down her fall and as a way to stop all their fussing, Charity decides that Sarah and Jacob deserve an engagement party. And no one likes a party more than the Dingles. Deflecting attention away from her, the landlady rallies all the family to get the Woolpack kitted out for a knees-up later to celebrate the happy couple’s impending nuptials.

But as the hi-jinks continue around her, the glamorous gran feels that something’s wrong. And a trip to the toilet reveals that all is most definitely not well, as she's started bleeding.

Confiding in the truth to Vanessa, will the surrogate spoil her granddaughter's big night by telling her she might not be able to make her dreams come true, after all?

Away from the revelry, when Ruby, Manpreet and Lewis share a gossipy lunch together, talk soon turns to their love lives. But when the tables turn and she's given a grilling about her own conquests, the doctor must decide whether to be honest about her bedroom antics with Ross in front of Steph’s mum.

Still trying to convince himself he’s over his "wobble", Vinny is given more food for thought when Aaron opens up about sharing a kiss with his ex-husband on his wedding day to John.

Noticing his reaction, the mechanic reassures his former brother-in-law that most people have doubts before getting hitched, Vinny then admits he tries to kiss someone else. What will Aaron advise?

    Thursday

It’s the morning after the night before in Emmerdale

Having put her granddaughter’s dream of being a mother above everything else, Charity offered to be a surrogate for Sarah after Sarah’s hopes were dashed about carrying a baby herself following emergency surgery.

Even though the teen has a life-limiting illness, such was her desire to have a child of her own that Charity put all other thoughts aside and offered herself up to carry Sarah and Jacob’s baby.

However, following a tumble while walking in the woods with Mack earlier this week, the landlady started bleeding, and she had to decide whether to shatter Sarah’s dreams by telling her what had happened.

Despite the fall being a freak accident, Charity blames herself. And despite not previously having Mack’s full support about the surrogacy, he’s on hand to try to cheer his wife up. But she’s struggling and not taking his offer of help well.

Meanwhile, after his heart-to-heart with Aaron, Vinny decides he needs to understand why he’s feeling the way he does. He’s sure there must be some answers online and he begins scouring the internet for any clues about his sexuality. But will the scrap dealer find what he wants by scrolling various websites?

Elsewhere, Dylan continues to ignore Ray, but what will the consequences be if the drug dealer grows impatient?

And Vanessa and Manpreet bond over the state of their love lives.

Emmerdale's Robert Sugden is not short of enemies next week, yet he has an unexpected ally in ex-husband Aaron Dingle.

Despite recent tensions, Aaron kindly gives Robert hope for the future. Is this a sign that Robron could reunite one day?

"Robert's feeling pretty despondent and even thinks about leaving the village," our Emmerdale insider explains.

"But it's Aaron who talks him around. Despite the trouble Robert has caused, Aaron persuades his ex to stay in the village ? an act which sees Robert decide to put down roots?"

It's after John exposes some incriminating information about Robert to the rest of the village this week that his brother gets cast out in the cold. Suspicious of Robert, John secretly places a listening device at his house, and unearths some dirt which makes life rather awkward for Rob.

Meanwhile, Robert's also trying to dig up information on John ? and with the two rivals circling each other, John is keen to keep Rob close as he tries to persuade Aaron to go easy on Robert.

However, when the trio come face to face at the shop, the situation becomes uncomfortable, and John leaves. With Robert and Aaron left alone, Rob takes the chance to clear the air and tries to call a truce over a coffee.

"As Aaron listens to his ex-hubby's words, he's moved when Robert hints that he's thinking about leaving," reveals our source.

"Aaron reassures him that, despite everything that has happened, he is valued in the village. Aaron's words certainly buoy Robert, as he decides to press ahead with a plan?."

Robert knows he's a long way from winning back Aaron, but his words certainly make him think there is a possibility of a brighter future. So, he decides it's time to cement his place in the village.

Later, we see Robert standing on Annie's field, the land he bought from Moira Dingle.

Although he was supposed to be acting as a front for Kim Tate in the purchase, Robert pulled out at the last minute, realising that the land has a lot more value to Kim than she was letting on.

After Moira confronts Robert about his intentions for the land, Victoria arrives and Robert unveils his plan. He tells shocked Vic that he wants them to farm the land together, just as their ancestors did before them.

While Victoria is surprised by the turn of events, it means that Robert is planning to stay in the village long-term. But with him and John both hellbent on outsmarting the other, has the battle for Aaron's heart only just begun?
