Neighbours spoilers: Will Dr Karl?s secret addiction destroy his marriage and career?
Karl snaps!
https://www.nowtolove.com.au/enterta...ret-addiction/
As Karl?s lies begin to unravel, so does his sanity ? and Darcy?s return only shakes the doctor more.
This week in Neighbours, Karl?s once-scheming nephew Darcy (Mark Raffety) is back, and the first stop on the pair?s reunion tour is retirement complex Eirini Rising, so that Karl (Alan Fletcher) can show off his greatest achievement.
?Karl is very wary of Darcy because of his historical behaviour,? Alan, 67, tells TV WEEK. ?He is prepared to give Darcy some benefit of the doubt but he remains very watchful.?
Long-time Neighbours fans will recall Darcy was tangled up in Karl?s dramas involving Izzy Hoyland (Natalie Bassingthwaighte) in the early 2000s. While Darcy is impressed by his uncle?s latest project, he picks up on something that rattles Karl, who is silently battling a prescription painkiller addiction ever since his bike accident in Europe.
Vera (Sally-Anne Upton) is suffering from serious stomach pains, and what Karl brushes off as indigestion, Darcy notices is actually far more serious.
?Because Karl has been in the grip of addiction, he is desperate to cling to the idea that he only missed Vera?s condition because he wasn?t party to vital information,? Alan implores. ?It is this need to feel innocent that Darcy can exploit.?
When Susan (Jackie Woodburne) questions Karl?s judgement about the situation, he snaps, creating a divide between the pair. Susan is left questioning where this erratic side of her husband has come from.
Susan and Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) are both concerned about Karl and his effect on the residents, so Darcy calls an emergency meeting ? where Karl is sure Darcy is going to expose him.
?Darcy genuinely wants to help Karl but is uncomfortable covering for him with Susan,? Mark tells TV WEEK. ?But he also sees there?s a mutual benefit to having Karl?s back.?
Are Karl?s concerns rooted in a drug-fuelled paranoia or has Darcy really returned to clear the air with the ones he has wronged in the past and is finally ready to do what?s right?
Neighbours airs Monday to Thursday, 4pm, 10 and 10Play; 6.30pm, 10 Peach

Neighbours spoilers: Karl's secret spirals as Darcy gains power
This doesn't bode well.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...t-darcy-power/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours airs ominous scenes next week as Karl Kennedy finds himself in Darcy Tyler's debt for a second time.
Karl could be left in a vulnerable position as Darcy continues to be the keeper of his secrets.
Viewers know that Karl has been struggling with a growing dependence on painkillers since his nasty road accident abroad.
Since returning to Erinsborough in Neighbours' big 40th anniversary week, Darcy has stumbled across Karl's secret and has agreed to keep it quiet.
Next week, the situation becomes more worrying for Karl as he struggles to keep his wife Susan in the dark about what he's going through.
When Karl loses his temper with Susan in a moment of impatience, he starts to realise that the burden of hiding his problem is becoming too much to bear.
Susan, meanwhile, faces the realisation that Karl hasn't been his usual self since they arrived back home.
She and Terese Willis fret over how Karl's problems could affect the residents of Eirini Rising, who need their trusty doctor on top form.
Darcy intervenes by inviting Susan, Terese and Karl over for a chat.
Just when it seems like Darcy might dramatically expose Karl's deception, he takes a different approach by saving his skin.
Darcy declares that Karl has returned to work too soon following his accident, but he holds back the crucial detail of his painkiller problem.
The schemer's revelations are just enough to pacify Susan and Terese, who agree to back off.
Karl is relieved to have more breathing room to get himself back on track, but we all know that relying on devious Darcy is never a good idea. Is it only a matter of time before Darcy exploits the leverage he has over Karl?
Darcy returned to screens last Thursday (March 20), 20 years after his last appearance in the show.
Mark Raffety has reprised the role for a guest stint.
Neighbours airs Darcy and Karl's new scenes on Tuesday, April 1.
Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee and Prime Video in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach Comedy.

Neighbours legend forced out of job after a year - and he's devastated
A hectic few days Down Under...
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...sacking-darcy/
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours legend Karl Kennedy will be left devastated after he's forced out of his job at Eirini Rising following a traumatic week.
Karl has become a victim in Darcy Tyler's schemes in recent weeks, with the returning character using his uncle's recovery from an accident to his advantage as he began slipping him opioids, with Karl remaining unaware the entire time.
In scenes set to air on Monday (19 May) and Tuesday (20 May), Darcy will become increasingly nastier as he senses that Karl is getting closer to the truth regarding his interest in Eirini Rising, with Darcy hoping to con Amanda Harris out of some money.
Following Darcy's growing interest in Amanda, Karl attempts to get to the bottom of the matter and asks Amanda if Darcy has ever asked her for money. Amanda is offended by Karl's line of questioning, though she pledges to keep the incident private.
It doesn't work, however, with Darcy securing the truth after witnessing Karl leave her studio. The villain resolves to promptly deal with Karl, later slipping him even more opioids with the intention of ruining his life.
While at The Waterhole, Karl becomes unsteady on his feet and is escorted home by Susan and Darcy, with the latter lying to his aunt by saying that Karl has remained addicted to drugs. As Darcy fabricates a story, Susan is shocked by her husband's condition.
Darcy continues to feign sympathy as he suggests that Terese be notified of the developments. Despite Susan's reservations, Darcy urges Terese and co to search Karl's office, with the group devastated to find that drugs are present.
A groggy and confused Karl arrives just as the pills are discovered, with Terese ordering him to stand down from his position immediately. Despite Darcy's fake nice-guy act, Karl begins to suspect that his nephew may have played a part in his downfall?
While Karl is left facing ostracisation, an insider for the soap teased that the character would soon seek vengeance, sharing: "The scandals at Eirini Rising just keep on coming ? a few months ago it was Terese under fire and now it's Karl's turn."
"Karl won't take this lying down, though," they continued. "In the coming weeks, he's determined to prove that Darcy has engineered all of his problems ? even if this risky mission puts him in danger?"

Neighbours legend teams up with Coronation Street star for first role since show axe
"A twisted scheme soon spirals into betrayal and ultimately, murder."
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...arsh-imposter/
Neighbours' Jackie Woodburne and Coronation Street's Kym Marsh have teamed up for a brand new series.
Set in Australia, Imposter will follow matriarch Helen, who causes a huge family feud when she refuses to sell her seaside hotel. Helen's three adult children are baffled by the decision and urge her to reconsider.
Things get complicated when Amanda arrives on the scene, claiming to be the secret daughter that Helen gave up for adoption many years ago. The newcomer is welcomed into the family, but is Amanda who she says she is?
"The lucrative hotel is the ultimate prize and a twisted scheme soon spirals into betrayal and ultimately, murder," teases the synopsis.
The soap stars will presumably be playing the mother-daughter duo, Helen (Woodburne) and Amanda (Marsh), in the Channel 5 show. Production is scheduled to begin in Australia this summer.
Imposter will mark Woodburne's first TV role since Neighbours was axed earlier this year.
The Aussie soap originally came to an end in 2022, but was picked up by Amazon, which commissioned a two-year run on its streaming platform Freevee. It was then axed for a second time after failing to secure a renewal deal.
Speaking about the recent cancellation, Woodburne ? who has played Susan Kennedy since 1994 ? said that it "feels different" to the previous axing.
"Everyone's got an idea of how they would like the show to end, but that [the previous] finale was written and everyone gave it 100% because we all thought: 'This is it,'" she told TV Tonight. "This was our opportunity to honour the show and take it out with a bang.
"But I don't think you can do that twice. It wouldn't have the same impact. I have no doubt that [producers] will come up with a heartfelt, authentic, beautiful farewell. Everybody's, once again, just focused on making sure that we give it our all? But it does feel different this time."
Elsewhere, Marsh ? who played Corrie's Michelle Connor ? will also be appearing in a stage adaptation of Single White Female. The star will play Allie, a recently divorced mother who unwittingly takes on an unstable lodger called Hedy.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
