    EastEnders Spoilers 23rd - 27th June 2025

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/eas...aine-hospital/

The future of EastEnders' Queen Vic is thrown into jeopardy next week when Elaine and George Knight's bitter feud escalates ? and a scandal hits the pub that could get it shut down.

A special celebration is booked for one of the regulars, but what should be a happy occasion sets off a dramatic chain of events that has dangerous consequences.

With Patrick Trueman's 85th birthday coming up, Yolande Trueman asks if she can book The Vic for a party. Already feeling overworked since George left, Linda Carter is reluctant to host ? but eager Elaine overrules her.

Having been strong-armed into arranging Patrick's party at short notice, Linda is livid when her mum swans off and leaves her to run the bar alone again.

George swings by and can see Linda is struggling, so he offers to lend a hand, but Elaine gets wind and accuses him of interfering.

"George is fuming," says our insider. "He's trying to make amends and put the family's livelihood first, so doesn't appreciate Elaine's reaction.

"He hits back by revealing he's hired a new solicitor to handle the divorce, who's told him he could have a claim on The Vic ? meaning he could swipe it from under Elaine's nose."

Shaken by George's threat, Elaine doubles down on running the pub her way and pulls out all the stops for Patrick's special birthday celebration.

Meanwhile, back at the Fox-Trueman house, Denzel Danes and his mates are babysitting the Square's youngsters while the adults are at the pub.

Joel Marshall then invites himself in, armed with alcohol, and with the kids busy watching a film, he later encourages Denzel to go to The Vic to liven things up.

"Elaine lets the lads have a sneaky glass of punch," our source explains. "But when she's not looking, Joel and Denzel steal a whole jug and take it home. The boys later realise, to their horror, that Raymond, Bert and Ernie have drunk the alcohol."

Denzel and Joel are thrown into a panic over this dangerous incident. As word spreads around the Square, worried Kat Slater and Denise Fox rush their sickly children to hospital.

Anxiously awaiting news on their condition, the angry mums turn on Elaine when it emerges that she served the underage teens the alcohol, the catalyst for all this chaos.

EastEnders' Phil Mitchell struggles to cope with his role as a carer next week, after Nigel Bates almost sets fire to the kitchen.

As his friend's condition continues to deteriorate, a cooking mishap leaves Phil badly burned ? while an uncomfortable encounter leaves young Lexi Pearce upset.

"Nigel, who has young-onset dementia, is becoming harder and harder to look after, but Phil won't admit that he needs more help," points out our Albert Square insider. "Even a burn from a pan of boiling water isn't enough to persuade him otherwise.

"Kat quickly realises what's going on, but Phil being Phil, he won't open up or admit that he's struggling. But Kat isn't one to take no for an answer?"

The accident in the kitchen is only one in a series of mishaps that befall Nigel next week, beginning with him heading out into the Square barefoot.

Later, Kat Slater spots Phil's injury from the hot water, and although Phil won't admit it, she realises he's starting to get in over his head when it comes to Nigel's care needs.

Matters come to a head later when Nigel offers to help Lexi with a story she has to write as homework for school. Things take a turn when talk turns to the past and Nigel begins to struggle.

"Confused Nigel thinks that Lexi is his stepdaughter, Clare," reveals our source. "The whole thing leaves Lexi feeling uncomfortable.

"As Phil arrives home, he works out what has happened and comforts his granddaughter, but the incident makes him realise he can no longer leave Nigel alone with her."

When Kat learns what's happened with Lexi, she reiterates in no uncertain terms to Phil that he can't do this alone any more.

But Kat's not the only one with worries. Phil finds himself under more pressure when Denise also suggests that he could be taking on too much with Nigel. But will Phil agree to bring in more support?

"It wasn't so long ago that Phil was the one in desperate need of help," our insider says. "So, Denise knows he must ensure he's looking after himself if he's going to be able to look after Nigel ? but Phil's a proud man."

Will Phil accept that, no matter how much he wants to keep his best mate safe and well, he can't do this solo any more?
