Craig Harris is attacked when he’s called to a disturbance
In a special week of episodes following the stories of both Kit and Craig, we’ll uncover the secrets surrounding Mick’s hold on Kit as his past comes back to haunt him, leaving both his friends and family in grave danger.
An excited Craig Harris arrives for work to shadow Kit as part of his CID placement, while making plans for an internet date that evening.
After being largely ignored by Kit all day, a despondent Craig tells Lisa that Kit doesn’t rate his work, Lisa urges him to prove Kit wrong.
When Craig is called to investigate a disturbance, he sees his chance. Can Craig prove himself to Kit? Or will fate have other plans for Craig?
Bernie catches Brody shoplifting and Kit goes after him. As Kit and Mick have words once more, Kit lets slip that Lou isn’t as loyal as he likes to think.
While Sarah calls at the bistro and books a romantic meal for Kit’s birthday, Mick confronts Lou, in a foul mood over Kit’s earlier remark. With tempers rising and Lou suddenly out of contact, Sean and Gemma worry about what Mick may have done to her.
Sean goes to the station, admitting he needs to change his earlier statement as it was Mick who assaulted him and left him for dead.
As Lou dabs at a head wound, she urges Mick to come home and talk. But consumed with rage, he speeds away in his van.
Later, Kit calls Mick who screams that everything is down to him, before killing the call and taking matters into his own hands.
Are Kit and Lou in danger?

Coronation Street fans see Craig Tinker's life hang in the balance next week after he's involved in a brutal attack ? and has to be rushed to hospital.
Exactly who or what is responsible for this incident is a mystery, but as his condition deteriorates, it's obvious someone on the cobbles has blood on their hands?
"Putting your own safety on the line is part of being on the force," points out our Corrie insider. "But Craig is about to realise just how dangerous this job can be?"
The drama begins as eager PC Tinker prepares for what should be one of the most exciting days of his career, shadowing DC Kit Green as part of his CID placement.
Not only that, Craigy has arranged a date with a lady he met online for that evening, hoping to inject his non-existent love life with some much-needed romance.
Unfortunately, preoccupied Kit has too much going on with Mick Michaelis to play teacher, and ignores Craig when he's supposed to be showing him the ropes, leaving his trainee feeling flat.
"He offloads to Lisa about how deflated he is," reveals our source. "DS Swain gives Craig a boost as she urges him to prove himself to Kit. And he gets the opportunity sooner than he thinks!"
The police station receives reports of a disturbance. Wanting to show he's ready for more responsibility, keen Craig races to the scene ? but the scary situation swiftly escalates?
"The next time we see Craig he's lying on the ground and covered in blood," our insider continues.
"Maria explains to stunned Swain how she found him in this sorry state, although she has no idea what happened. The only thing they know is that Craig needs urgent medical attention."
An ambulance arrives and Asha Alahan assesses the damage on her frightened friend. Confused Craig struggles to recall what went on and slips into unconsciousness, before being loaded into an ambulance.
Craig is rushed straight into intensive care, where doctors quickly determine the patient has swelling on the brain as a result of the unclear altercation.
Craig eventually wakes up and tells Asha he remembers what happened.
Police officer Jess Haywood is called to her colleague's bedside, ready to take a full statement about who else was involved ? just as Craig's condition takes a turn for the worse?
"The whole street is on pins awaiting news on Craig," our source shares. "Lisa finally gets a call from Jess with an update. But what does she reveal?"
What Lisa learns sends shockwaves across the cobbles, and the locals attempt to come to terms with the horrifying events that have torn the community apart.
Sally, Tim, Chesney and Gemma are among those leaning on each other for support in light of the dramatic developments.
But it's Kirk who has the toughest task of all, as he gears up to call Craig's absent mum Beth to tell her what has happened to her beloved son?
Are the cops aware who bashed the bobby and fled the scene, and will the cowardly culprit be brought to justice? And can Craig survive his ordeal?
Coronation Street airs these scenes from Monday 19 May on ITV1 and ITVX.

Coronation Street's Lou Michaelis does a runner from Weatherfield next week following a violent altercation with her evil husband Mick.
Scared for her safety, Lou leaves her kids and disappears ? but has she gone for good?
The scales finally fall from Lou's eyes after Mick lashes out, following the revelation that she once cheated on him with Kit Green ? who could be Brody?s real father.
Horrified by Mick?s outburst, Lou tells daughters Shanice and Joanie that mummy is taking them away for a few days.
Hurrying into a cab to make a secret escape from her horrid husband, Lou is questioned by Tim over the very visible cut on her head, and he insists on taking her to A&E.
Despite her objections, Lou gets checked out at the hospital. She's examined by a perceptive nurse, who figures out how she got her injuries and deduces that she's in an abusive relationship.
Even though she's urged to open up, loyal Lou can't face speaking about the abuse and rejects the kind nurse?s offer of help.
Instead, stressed Lou makes a spur of the moment decision and does a runner, leaving Shanice and Joanie with bemused Tim and Sally.
The police are soon on the case as they search for missing Lou, but there's no sign.
Where has she gone, and will her kids ever see their mother again?
Farrel Hegarty, who plays Lou, recently told us: "Sometimes in relationships like that, it can be quite worrying that you do get taken over by a level of love for someone, rather than what's actually good for yourself.
"It's definitely an important issue to think about. For a lot of people, we can look at relationships on the outskirts and go: 'Why is that happening? Should they be together? Is that healthy? Is that not toxic?'
"But actually when you're in it, it's a different thing. It's not that easy for people in relationships that are unhealthy and at times unsafe."

Coronation Street's menacing Mick Michaelis goes on the rampage next week, as he vows revenge on arch-enemy Kit Green.
Following surprising revelations about their past, Mick now has even more reason to hate Kit. As Mick's world falls apart, he's prepared to go to any lengths to get his own back ? including hurting Kit's mum Bernie Winter.
The vendetta between the blokes gets even more vicious as a question mark hovers over Brody's true paternity, with Kit strongly suspecting his teenage fling with Lou means he could be Brody's dad.
After the lad is caught shoplifting, Kit attempts to reprimand him, bringing him face to face with his possible offspring.
When the detective later bumps into Mick, the pair exchange more snipes, and Kit can't resist making a comment about Lou not being as loyal as her hubby thinks she is. Realising Kit is hinting about Brody's parentage, Mick fumes?
This only makes Mick detest Kit more, and puts him on a quest for answers from Lou. As Mick confronts his wife, tempers flare and concern mounts for Lou's safety when pals Gemma Winter and Sean Tully can't get hold of her?
The next time we see Lou, she's nursing an injury after her row with Mick turned violent. Mick then speeds off in his van, consumed with rage and ready to give DC Green a piece of his mind.
Calling Kit, Mick blames his ex-pal for everything that has gone wrong in his life and decides that he wants to kill him. Soon, Mick has taken Bernie hostage in order to lure Kit into a final showdown.
Mick phones Kit and orders him to the location where he's holding terrified Bernie. Kit arrives to find his mum being threatened by his nemesis, and Bernie pleads with her son to save her.
Kit faces a huge dilemma ? try to save his mum but risk both her and his own life, or walk away from Bernie for good, leaving her fate in Mick's hands. How will Mick and Kit's explosive feud end?
Joe Layton, who plays Mick, tells us: "Mick likes to think that he would be able to [kill Kit]. Not that he'd enjoy doing that, but he'd back himself to do it.
"If he's standing over Kit again, I think all of those things flash through his head: 'This was my best friend and I don't want to be in this position'.
"Mick is also a man who's lost everything. When someone's lost everything and they've led the life that Mick has led, and the stories that we learn about him, that makes someone incredibly dangerous, I think?"
Coronation Street airs these dramatic scenes on Friday 23 May on ITV1 and ITVX.
