While he isn't directly mentioned, Karl's new ordeal is sure to be linked to Darcy.

Karl has been suspicious over Darcy's sly behaviour for weeks now and it was only ever a matter of time before his concerns came to a head?

Speaking exclusively to us earlier in the year, Neighbours' executive producer Jason Herbison teased: "Darcy has been on our list of characters to bring back for many years. We've had a few different story ideas bubbling around but this is a new one.

"One thing I especially love is that it's a huge arc for Karl. You will see some amazing performances from Fletch as the weeks pass."

Neighbours lines up major baby battle for Paul and Cara
    Emotions begin to run high...

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/nei...tle-paul-cara/

    Neighbours spoilers follow.

Neighbours has lined up a major battle between Paul Robinson and Cara Varga-Murphy in the storyline involving baby Thomas.

Paul recently discovered from ex-fianc? Chelsea Murphy that Thomas, whom he thought to be his child, was actually the biological child of Jeffrey Swan, the man who Chelsea had previously had an affair with.

Chelsea further shared that she kept the news hidden after learning that Jeffrey had tampered with the initial DNA results, with Paul subsequently deciding to carry on as normal as he considered Thomas as his son.

The truth, however, will come out in Erinsborough during next week's scenes, with upcoming developments seeing Terese being informed via a letter from Jeffrey about the entire incident, including the details about the altered DNA result.

She subsequently demands further DNA tests to be taken to conclude the matter indefinitely, though Chelsea explains that such a move would only confirm what's already known - Jeffrey is the father.

Though relieved that his silence is yet to be discovered, Paul is devastated at the prospect of losing the child he thought to be his son, with his family rallying around him in support. After being muted in his grief, Paul eventually breaks down as his sadness becomes overwhelming.

Chelsea, meanwhile, is full of self-hatred as her relationship with her sister, Cara, is left in tatters. To make matters worse, Krista delivers a brutal assassination of her character, with Chelsea soon abandoning Thomas as she reasons he'll be better off without her.

She leaves a letter in which she urges Paul to take care of Thomas, with the elder figure immediately taking on the responsibility. After Terese is left confused by Chelsea's departure, Cara and Remi soon enter the fray and are appalled.

Cara states her belief that Thomas is better off with them, though Paul reasons that Chelsea had left the baby in his care. Not wanting to cause an argument, Cara relents for the time being, though pleads with Paul to drop Thomas off in the morning.

Paul is steadfast in his belief, however, and fails to show when the baby is expected. This later causes a huge argument with Cara, with Terese and Remi being forced to intervene before tensions completely boil over.

After ignoring advice from Leo, Paul eventually agrees to relinquish care of Thomas after a stern word from Terese, who explains that getting Cara and Remi on side will be key to having a future with Thomas?

"Emotions run high over Thomas's future - both Paul and Cara have lots at stake," says an insider for the soap. "Paul is desperate for his chance to be a father again after the tragic loss of his son David last year.

"But Cara also longs for a baby, after recently learning that she won't be able to carry another child. Can they put their own feelings aside for Thomas's sake?

Totally agree. So many layers to the character that is CHELSEA. Would be interesting to explore. She’s definitely more exciting then her sister’s family and the Rodwell’s.

PAUL needs to bring her back and give her a home and job.

Wouldn’t it be a twist if THOMAS turned out to be a ROBINSON after all !!!!!
