    MONDAY

Cindy Beale certainly knows how to make an entrance

Who can forget how she shocked everyone when she returned from the "dead" in 2023!

Anyhow, Cindy made a hasty exit from Albert Square after the explosive events at the Queen Vic in February.

But just as her family are really starting to enjoy life without scheming Cindy around, she makes an unannounced appearance at the engagement party of her son, Peter (Thomas Law) and his pregnant fiancee Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa)!

Is Cindy really ready to show her face around Walford again after the massive family fallout she previously caused?

A hungover Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) is still reeling from his devastating discovery.

Harry's uncle Billy (Perry Fenwick) tries to help but he has no idea of the SHOCK family secret that his half-brother Teddy (Roland Manookian) and his ex-wife, Nicola (Laura Doddington) have been keeping.

In the meantime, Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) warns family relative Zack Hudson (James Farrar) to keep out of the Mitchell family drama.

However, there is certainly no love lost between Zack and his one-time lover Nicola, who he issues with a THREAT...

    TUESDAY

Lauren Branning was a prime suspect after Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) was attacked and left for DEAD on Christmas Day

But it was revealed that Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) was the guilty culprit who tried to bump off her hated daughter-in-law!

As Cindy makes an unannounced and unwelcome return to Albert Square during her son Peter (Thomas Law) and Lauren's engagement party, it all kicks off!

The Beale and the Knight families shun Cindy once again - but she retaliates by revealing ALL about Kathy and the Christmas Day attack...

Meanwhile, heavily pregnant Lauren storms off after her ruined engagement party.

Lauren is home alone when she suddenly goes into labour...

Elsewhere on Albert Square, Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) is worried as things continue to spiral out of control over the SHOCK family secret.

Nicola desperately tries to track down her son Harry (Elijah Holloway).

Since he's been hitting the bottle to drown his sorrows, who knows what Harry will reveal to other people...

At Bridge Street Cafe, a drunk Harry sits down with Gina Knight (Francesca Henry).

She is alarmed to see Harry in such a state.

When Gina attempts to find out what is going on, how much of the terrible truth will Harry reveal?

    WEDNESDAY

Just about the last person pregnant Lauren Branning wants by her side right now is scheming Cindy Beale

However, when Lauren suddenly goes into labour on the BBC soap, she is stuck with her hated future mum-in-law!

While the rest of Lauren's family and friends are still at her and fiance Peter Beale's (Thomas Law) engagement party at Harry's Barn, Cindy takes matters into her own hands to get Lauren to the hospital.

But when the ambulance is delayed en route to Albert Square, will Lauren be forced to truly accept Cindy's help?

Meanwhile, ahead of the VE Day celebrations, to mark 80 years since the end of World War II, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and George Knight (Colin Salmon) announce the Vic will officially be re-opening!

However, their BIG announcement falls flat, with many of the locals not keen on revisiting the pub so soon after the death of Martin Fowler...

Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) and her partner, Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw), are attempting to job hunt now they've decided to stick around in Walford.

But until now, Vicki still believes they are in debt because Ross had to borrow money from the "wrong people" because of a costly divorce.

So, she is thrown into a spin when Ross finally reveals the debts are actually because of his son Joel (Max Murray) and the REAL reason they had to leave Australia...

Shocked by what she learns, what will Vicki do now?

    THURSDAY

Nigel Bates is excited about Albert Square's plans to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day

But as the celebrations to mark 80 years since the end of World War II get underway, it soon becomes clear that Nigel is confused again and believes it is 1995...

Friends Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) prepare to talk to Nigel about his on-going memory issues.

But how will he react to being challenged about his dementia again?

Meanwhile, the grand re-opening of the Queen Vic seems to be on hold following the BIG news falling flat with the locals.

Is anyone really ready to step back inside the pub where Martin Fowler died during the aftermath of the explosion?

However, as community spirit takes hold, the residents gather outside the pub before Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) welcomes them all back inside!

It looks like the Vic is officially back in business!

Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) and Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) continue their SECRET affair.

Harvey invites Kathy to join him on a caravan holiday.

But will the lovers' plans be ruined when Harvey's unsuspecting other half, Jean, accidentally finds the holiday brochure and assumes the getaway plans are for the Slater family!

    EastEnders spoilers 5th - 8th May 2025

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/eas...ibute-episode/

EastEnders has confirmed that The Vic will open its doors again in an upcoming special episode.

The iconic Albert Square pub has been closed since the explosion in February's live 40th-anniversary episode, which saw Martin Fowler tragically lose his life.

Linda Carter and the Knights recently learned that repairs on the pub and their home are nearing completion ? but when it comes to The Vic's re-opening plans, two residents have a novel idea to make it a night to remember.

Coinciding with the upcoming 80th anniversary of VE Day, residents of Walford will congregate at the newly re-opened Vic in a special episode that will air on Thursday 8 May, paying tribute to those who gave their lives during the war.

The party will mark a bittersweet moment for Nigel Bates amid his dementia journey, with his worsening symptoms leading him to believe it's 1995 and he's at a party that is marking the 50th anniversary of VE Day at The Vic.

In a sweet gesture to their friend, it's Phil Mitchell and Jean Slater who manage to convince Linda to combine the pub's re-opening with a VE Day tribute party.

"Like many others across the UK who will be marking this poignant moment in history, we wanted to honour and remember those courageous individuals who gave their lives during the war with a special EastEnders episode marking 80 years since V.E. Day," said executive producer Chris Clenshaw in a press statement.

In addition to The Vic celebrations, viewers can expect to see historical footage in the special episode from that fateful day (8 May 1945) when World War II ended and celebrations rolled out across the capital.

There will also be poignant references and music played throughout that will give a nod to wartime Britain.
