Neighbours is lining up a surprise fling for two characters in upcoming scenes, as unexpected passion erupts.
Jane Harris recently reunited with her ex-husband Victor Stone, but she soon changed her mind after realising that she and Victor weren't on the same page anymore, and that he appeared to have a stronger connection with Melanie Pearson.
Meanwhile, former Ramsay Street resident Shane Ramsay is back in town for a short time, and has been sharing all the details of his recent off-screen split from Izzy Hoyland.
With Jane and Shane both recovering from their break-ups, scenes which will air next week see the pair decide to catch up for a drink.
As the pair enjoy catching up and reminiscing over old times, they find themselves flirting as they move onto the topic of their relationship from many years ago.
When Jane's daughter Nicolette Stone and Shane's newly-arrived son Max Ramsay spot the pair looking cosy, they start questioning their parents about what's going on.
Shane claims that their apparent flirtation didn't mean anything, while Jane announces that she's pleased their chat didn't amount to more.
However, events take another turn when Shane heads over to see Jane and tells her that he's about to leave Erinsborough once again. As Shane teasingly reminds Jane about her cheerleading days, the pair suddenly feel the spark between them again.
Pointing out that there seems to be a vibe between them, Jane suggests that things shouldn't go any further, as they wouldn't want to ruin their friendship. Shane agrees that it's best nothing else happens between them.
However, when Nicolette and Max head over to Jane's later, they're shocked to come across Jane and Shane in the throes of passion, having clearly changed their minds.
Will Jane be in for more heartbreak after Shane leaves Erinsborough behind?
