Emmerdale has confirmed that Angelica King's return scenes will air soon.

Nicola and Jimmy will be welcoming Angelica back home, which is sure to provide a distraction from their ongoing battles over Tom.

In scenes airing later this week, the Kings receive a phone call to let them know that Angelica can be released from the Secure Children's Home.

Back in March, Angelica was sentenced to eight months at the facility after confessing that she was to blame for Heath Hope's death.

Angelica had been driving on a New Year joyride with Heath and his twin sister Cathy, which ended in tragedy when Heath lost his life.

This storyline saw the departure of young actor Sebastian Dowling, who'd played Heath since he was a newborn baby in 2007.

A new spoiler picture shows Angelica settling back into the village in next week's episodes.

Angelica attends the village bonfire, where she crosses paths with Heath's grieving father Bob.

Much to Angelica's relief, Bob holds out an olive branch by welcoming her back to the village ? showing that there'll be no further animosity and they can move on with their lives.

After facing a tough time at the Secure Children's Home, will Angelica be ready to get her life back on track or is there more trouble to come?

Rebecca Bakes, who plays Angelica, reflected on the storyline earlier this year by telling Digital Spy: "Before we even started filming it, we were told that the driver would be me and they kept us updated. It was really exciting because I'd never previously done anything as big.

"It was also sad because I'd known Sebastian for years. We didn't really film much, but when we were little we filmed together quite a lot. I've missed him when we're filming."

Asked whether we could see a change in Angelica when she returns, Rebecca replied: "I don't know, it could go in the direction of her being a rebel or going a bit downhill but I don't really know yet!"

Emmerdale airs the bonfire scenes on Tuesday, November 5.
