More importantly why is Bernie taking to do with Paul's Funeral when Billy was his next of Kin?

How can she collect Pauls ashes?

Could she even give permission for his remains to be cremated

Still it is supposed to make for another "humorous" storyline of ordinary Northern Folks

Are the Corrupt coppers on Corrie trying to out corrupt the Met coppers down in Walford

Is Joel the new Marcus Christie?

Wee need good old country Bobby Constable Swirling to clear this all up

One would hope so. But it remains to be seen if she will receive any punishment other than a caution. Perverting the Course of Justice, like perjury is a serious crime. Mason probably would have been locked up for stealing the purse.

And there is the flaw in your argument: "in the real world." I think Corrie departed the real world somewhere around 1980.

Sadly I have to agree with you. What once was top notch drama with genuine humour has now become a pantomime. The excellent story about MND has generated into farce.

Really none of the soaps are realistic any more

Although I find it exasperating at times and, as you say, not realistic any more, Corrie is now the only soap I watch. Occasionally, there is still some flash of humour like the old days, which I find totally lacking in the others. Also, some of the characters are quite decent unlike, say, Eastenders, where I found I was not invested in one single character and couldn't care less what happened to any of them. It may be a forlorn hope, but I still cling to the hope that Corrie might still come good and that Roy Cropper will take over as series producer and chief script writer!

I started watching UK soaps mainly because they were more 'realistic' than US soaps. When was the last time you had an 'alien/UFO' storyline or a villain who wanted to control the worlds weather with a large diamond & this way control the whole world (General Hospital)? Or bring back LONG dead people, even those who no longer had a heart, (Days of Our Lives). Or how about 'time travel' (One Life To Live)?

I think she compares herself to Daisy, and feels she does not measure up.

I thought it was just meant to be a writing job. Maybe her boss convinced her to have a treatment so she could review it?
