    Exclamation Griff (Michael Condron)

Online speculation he is Elsie's dad, the little girl that Imran and Toyah fostered for a short while... or Spider is her dad....

Coronation Street has confirmed that Griff Reynolds will make a return appearance on the soap next week.

The villain hasn't been seen on-screen since early January, when he was finally brought to justice over his crimes.

Next week's episodes see Griff's story revisited as Spider Nugent pays him a visit in prison.

Spider has a surprising offer to make to Griff, promising to get his sentence reduced if he reveals where the funding for his illegal activity came from.

Corrie viewers know that councillor Len Cameron was responsible for sending money Griff's way. Len wasn't aware of how far Griff would go, but he did rely on Griff to help promote a right-wing political agenda.

Spider didn't manage to uncover Len's involvement while working undercover with Griff's extremist group, but he was aware that someone influential appeared to be helping him.

Will Griff be prepared to give up Len's name in exchange for taking years off his sentence?

Last month, Griff was arrested after planting a bomb at the Weatherfield Peace Market.

Griff was caught out after his young prot?g? Max Turner finally turned against him. Max raised the alarm about the explosive device, while Alya Nazir made a heroic decision by driving it off to some wasteland so that nobody would be hurt.

Since then, Max has also been arrested and charged with Encouraging Terrorism, after his racist online videos led to a stabbing incident at Speed Daal.

Max has already pleaded guilty to the charge and will be sentenced to six months in a secure training unit later this week.

Coronation Street villain Griff Reynolds makes a worrying return to the show next week.
Griff seems likely to start causing trouble for Roy Cropper when he's transferred back to Weatherfield Prison.
Upcoming episodes see the ITV soap continue to explore Roy's jail ordeal.
The mild-mannered caf? owner is currently being held on remand after being wrongly charged with the presumed murder of Lauren Bolton.
Next week, Roy continues to isolate himself from the other inmates at the prison.
Roy's niece Nina Lucas tells Stu Carpenter that she's very worried, as Roy won't speak to anyone or even leave his cell.
Fellow inmate Roscoe takes an interest in Roy and pays a visit to his cell.
Roy is frightened and leaps up, sending his chess board flying. Roscoe is baffled by Roy's overreaction and decides to leave him to it.
Things briefly look up for Roy when his friend Evelyn Plummer pays him a visit.
Evelyn suggests to Roy that they should start a book club while he's in prison. Roy agrees and feels that he finally has something to look forward to.
Unfortunately, a new crisis for Roy seems likely when Griff appears, telling the guard that he's pleased to be back in Weatherfield Prison.
Griff used to know Lauren as she was the daughter of Reece Bolton, who was part of his far-right gang.
With so many unfounded rumours currently swirling about Roy, will Griff start making his life a misery?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, May 24.
