the attack was more of corey not liking nina and her interfering telling kelly and summer go home, friendship with asha etc., than goth attack i think

Your right I think it was about Corey being angry at Nina interfering rather than an attack on Goths. But the fact that Nina was a Goth, was different, allowed him to call her names like "freak and weirdo" and dehumanize her, just like in the real life murder, allowing him and his gang of thugs to carry out the attack as if they did not matter.
