Eastender current episode discussion IV

I'm just wondering if someone can tell me what year Eastenders is set in. It's obviously not 2020 or 2021, but is it set pre-COVID or post-COVID?

I for one am grateful there is generally no mention of covid or any masks to be seen, nice to have a break from all that.
Also would be difficult for them to keep up with frequently changing rules regarding lockdowns etc being filmed weeks in advance.
