To be honest I think Phil Daniels sounds quite bitter. Eastenders has never been a barrel of laughs so I don't know what he was expecting when he joined. It's no more miserable now than it's ever been in my opinion. Rape storyline aside, I'm mostly enjoying it a lot at the moment.
