Janelle ruins Dylan's beautiful scene...
In the Oz episodes, Dylan walks in on his own memorial service. He does it beautifully, with tears in his eyes and a genuinely devastated look on his face. But the woman who plays Janelle, her acting, as harsh as this sounds, was absolutely terrible. She was wooden, unrealistic and silly-sounding in her reaction to seeing her eldest child, whom she thought was dead, right there in front of her. All in all, apart from that, it was handled pretty well, but I think it was the opposite problem with the rest of the actors, they seemed about as phased to see Dylan come back from the dead as they would be if the postman came wearing a new jacket.
A bit more acting on the part of... um.... everyone, and a bit less, (and a lot better) on the part of Janelle, and it would have been perfect. Damien, who plays Dylan, acted the scene beautifully and sensitively, it was really, really moving and I was crying so much!!
