I have never heard that you are born gay. ... I also do not believe it. I can imagine that some that are abused and mistreated by their heterosexual partners leave them and then turn to same sex partners. Maybe that is what Carla is experiencing... all her male partners let her down so maybe she thinks she is safer with a female partner???

While the causes of homosexuality have not been definitively explained, there is overwhelming evidence of a biological basis for sexual orientation that is programmed into the brain before birth based on a mix of genetics and prenatal conditions, none of which the fetus chooses.

It is highly unlikely that someone, who up till now has shown nothing but strong heterosexual tendencies like Carla, would suddenly become gay.
