Now here's the thing.....Billy belongs to the Church of England, who, according to them, represent God on Earth. The church doesn't want gays married in their churches, therefore God doesn't want gays married in church. So why is Billy happy to go against the will of his god?

It's a good point Parkerman. It will always be the same.
God said no work on Sundays, so a hundred years ago shops were closed. People just push the boundaries to achieve what they want in their lives.
I see this week, "Pope Francis has suggested there could be ways to bless same-sex unions", so the catholic church could be on the move to keep up with the times and not lose income from their 'faithful'.
Oops, how cynical of me.
