I'm a Trustee of a charity but I certainly wouldn't give my fellow Trustees my bank account details!

So nice to see the moral messages in Eastenders.
Correct. Walford is a moral free zone

I find it very hard to see Max as the moral paragon of righteousness with the way he's acting towards Ian. Consider his history ever since he appeared, he's nearly as big a scumbag as Phil.

Why can't Max just transfer the money back to the Lucy Beale Fund?

Phil has a code and a reputation, since when? That's news to me.

Max trying to act the hard man again, along with Phil and Ben, totally unconvincing.

Alternatively, why doesn't he just pay the money to Linda?

I think the best outcome for this story would be that it was Max who did it, but that Bobby is found guilty and goes to prison for it.
