EastEnders couple Kat and Alfie Moon have an unwelcome surprise waiting for them as they return home to Albert Square this evening (October 1).

Kat and Alfie (Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie) head back to the Queen Vic just as Phil Mitchell is hosting a special promotional night at the pub, keen to re-establish the boozer as the place to be in Walford.

The Moons receive an extremely warm welcome from the punters as they turn up out of the blue, and their spirits seem reasonably high after their marriage-saving holiday.

Things quickly turn sour for the pair, however, as Phil (Steve McFadden) asks everyone to quieten down for a surprise announcement - he's now in charge of The Vic permanently so Kat and Alfie will no longer be working there. Will this put the pair's relationship under further strain?

EastEnders teenager Lola Pearce is at the centre of heartbreaking scenes this evening (October 5) as she finds herself in deep trouble.

Tonight's episode sees Lola's rivalry with old friend Alexa come to a head with huge consequences, as she steps in when the cruel bully and her gang turn violent against Abi Branning.

When vicious Alexa then threatens the safety of baby Lexi, a raging Lola (Danielle Harold) finally loses it and punches her.

Lola hopes this will be the last she'll see or hear of Alexa, but after she returns home, she receives a nasty surprise as the police come knocking.

It soon becomes clear that Lola is facing arrest for assaulting Alexa, even though she was only defending herself. With strict social worker Trish also present, Lexi's future on the Square is thrown into jeopardy…
