I'd be getting on with it now because you can't book your practical until you have done the theory.

Peter: So how many are there? Is it bad? Olivia: Did you eat? Peter: Yeah. Olivia: Well, that's unfortunate.

My first lesson was a bit iffy.. I ended up nearly knocking someone over at the zebra crossing, I couldn't control the car very well and ended up going in the wrong lane and nearly crashing into a curb. I find the multitasking really difficult and the instructor was getting a bit stressy but he was very nice overall. I think my parents or me are going to tell him I'm dyspraxic though, as I have trouble multitasking and having co ordination so he might understand a bit more if I find it difficult. I can't count the number of times I said sorry for doing something wrong! lol.

I find the bite thing really difficult too but I am going to book a few more lessons and see if I improve.

You'll get used to changing gear and steering at the same time. The instructor has probably taught other dyspraxic people and may have some tips to help you do several things at the same time.

On the clutch side, balance your feet so you can feel the clutch on your left foot and can hear the engine (not too much though). Move off with a bit more engine then slowly edge the clutch up as you move.

Don't worry about failing Kasple, I've failed two and my sister failed four before she passed

My sisters probably the only one in our family to pass first time You actually reminded me to book a test, thanks but it's 7 weeks away so plenty of time to practice

Can you use your own car for the test?

I like my car better My instructors car is so...responsive One foot and whoosh and the brake is quite harsh too.

You can use your own car but it has to comply with the regulations set out by the DSA
