Emmerdale's Bear Wolf gets the chance to escape Celia Daniels and Ray Walters' cruel clutches next week, following his friend Anya's tragic death. Fellow prisoners Mick and Simo reveal to Bear that they're plotting a daring getaway from their slavery prison, but will brainwashed Bear be willing to join them?
In upcoming scenes, Bear is devastated when his friend Anya dies after being denied medical treatment that could have saved her life. When Bear is told that her corpse has been callously dumped in a feed shed, he can't believe what he's hearing.
Ray had previously promised Bear that he would deal with Anya's death respectfully. So when he discovers from Mick and Simo that Ray has lied, Bear's temper boils over and he violently lashes out, shoving Ray up against the wall. Is this the moment the scales finally fall from Bear's eyes about his captor?
Worried Bear is starting to rebel, Ray urges Celia to deal with him before he properly blows. Celia reluctantly agrees to hold a funeral for Anya ? but there's a grim twist when Bear realises that he and Ray will have to dig Anya's grave themselves.
Anya's lowkey, makeshift funeral takes place in one of the fields on Butler's farm. Her lifeless body now in its final resting place, and with cold-hearted Celia observing without an ounce of emotion, Bear attempts to lend the occasion a sense of dignity by saying a few words.
Back in their filthy communal quarters, Simo and Mick urge Bear to wake up and see Ray is not to be trusted, so they bring him in on their secret plan to break out.
?Bear is neither friendly nor antagonistic towards Mick and Simo,? explains Joshua Richards, who plays him. "He doesn't want to upset anybody so is going along with what Ray wants. Because he felt rejected by his real family, Bear has come to view Ray as a surrogate son.
"Ray's manipulation is clever and insidious, he has a natural charm and the ability to get under peoples' skin."
Presented with the opportunity to potentially make peace with Paddy and the rest of his estranged loved ones, will Bear take it and flee? And if he does, what will the consequences be for betraying Ray?

Emmerdale villain Ray Walters starts feeling the heat next week, as his criminal empire is at risk of being exposed. Not only are the police sniffing around, Nicola King then starts to get suspicious and does some digging.
Nicola takes an interest in Ray's past, as her best friend Laurel Thomas is eager to keep exploring her recent romantic connection with the dodgy newcomer. Could this spark a chain of events that sees the truth unravel?
"Giving into her nosiness, Nicola reckons it's time she properly vetted Laurel's lover and does some cyber stalking about Ray's past," our Emmerdale insider explains.
"However, she struggles to find any trace of Ray online. This feels pretty fishy ? Nicola starts to think Ray has something to hide?"
Meanwhile, when the cops call in at Caleb Miligan's depot to investigate reports of drug trafficking on the premises, Dylan Penders is beside himself. Jai Sharma is mystified by the claims and has no idea what's going on, so tells the authorities to collar Caleb himself.
There's no love lost between the colleagues, so if Caleb is involved with drugs, Jai has no problem throwing him under the bus.
Reporting back to Ray, distressed Dylan fears the whole operation is about to unravel and he'll end up in prison. Trying to keep his cool, Ray tells the teenager to pause the pushing of his product through the business until interest dies down.
"Ray's concerned there could be a traitor among their ranks," our source continues. "Did someone tip off the police about using Miligan International to ferry their narcotics across county lines?
"That's the question he poses to Dylan and April, who are shaking with fear to be practically accused by their bullying boss?"

Emmerdale's Kev Townsend is interrogated at Hotten Police Station next week, after Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle conspire to oust him from their lives. After the pair reveal their plan to send Kev packing, Chas Dingle and Liam Cavanagh reluctantly agree to allow the scheme to go ahead.
Later, Aaron spies on Kev while he handles the stolen loot from his recent robbery, then makes an important call to Robert?
"Robert and Aaron are playing a very dangerous game," our Emmerdale source warns. "They're intent on banishing Kev from the village, so to make that happen, they come up with a scheme that results in Kev being hauled in for questioning about the armed robbery he committed not long ago.
"If DS Carter can nail him, then Robert and Aaron will be over the moon ? as will fans of the couple."
The week kicks off with Robert trying to figure out where Kev has buried his haul from the burglary. However, Robert is shaken when Kev responds with a declaration that he doesn't like being lied to.
As Robert begins to worry that Kev has sussed out him and Aaron, does he have a genuine cause for concern?
Later in the week, Robert and Aaron ponder over how they can track down Kev's ill-gotten gains.
Meanwhile, Liam is put under pressure when Kev instructs him to tell Robert that his heart condition was misdiagnosed.
Afterwards, Robert and Aaron explain their plan to Chas, who eventually agrees to help them. However, when Liam inadvertently interrupts the meeting, the trio are forced to bring the doc in on it.
Robert and Aaron reiterate their strategy to Liam, before sensing that something not right. Feeling the heat, Liam admits that Kev has been lying about his health?
"Robert and Aaron are gobsmacked," our spy continues. "After the shock reveal, they double down on their plan to get Kev off their backs. Chas and Liam are not pleased about giving them the go ahead, but they do anyway.
"Let's just hope that Robert and Aaron can pull it off. What Kev would do to them if he catches them doesn't bear thinking about."
Subsequently, Kev visits the church and covertly pulls out a hold-all bag containing his stolen loot. Nearby, Aaron watches his every move, then calls Robert to trigger their secret plan.
The next day, Kev is bombarded with questions about the armed robbery by DS Carter down at the station. Will Robert and Aaron's joint efforts lead to Kev being chucked behind bars? And if so, will Robert and Aaron finally secure their happily-ever-after?
