Hollyoaks has shared a menacing first look at Froggy Black in an explosive summer trailer.

Played by Emmerdale's John Middleton, Fraser Black Sr (aka Froggy) is set to make his mark in the village as he reunites with his estranged family.

The new character has already been introduced as the mysterious 'top dog' at Longmere Prison, having taken Tom Cunningham under his wing. But Froggy will soon make his first on-screen appearance when he comes face to face with granddaughter Clare Devine.

In the newly released trailer, Clare visits Froggy in prison where her disdain for her grandfather becomes apparent. Froggy explains that he "just wants to make amends", calling her by a nickname which causes visible anger.

When Clare gets up to leave, Froggy drops the bombshell that he's getting out of prison soon. He reveals his plan to get his family back together "just like the old days".

A stunned Clare warns him to stay away from her and Grace, adamant that they want nothing to do with him. But will Froggy take the hint?

Later, Clare and Grace also find themselves behind bars when an incarcerated Rex Gallagher decides to turn on his sisters. After trading information with the police, Rex is keen to start a new life with Ste. Will he get away with betraying his family?

Ste faces another shock when his son's boyfriend Dillon confesses his feelings for him. Lucas and Ste's relationship has already become strained in recent weeks. Could this revelation cause a further divide between the pair?

The trailer also reveals trouble for Jez, ahead of his wedding to John Paul. It seems that the serial killer's mask has finally slipped, as a distraught Sienna begs her father for the truth.

Jez has always claimed to be protecting Sienna with his calculated murders, but is she next on his kill list?
