I was told by a Fire and Rescue worker that one of the main causes of death in head on crashes is damage to internal organs and bleeding in the brain, cause by the jolt of the collision. If that is the case with Heath it is unlikely that Cathy and Angel would have escaped without more serious injury. Frequently the engine is pushed back into the footwell of the car, causing damage to the legs of the driver and passenger and often trapping them from being able to exit the car. The steering wheel can also be pushed back trapping and causing chest injuries to the driver. None of these things happened here, making it even more puzzling that Heath suffered such an extreme fate.

One would almost suspect that none of them were in a car that crashed.

Hard to see but it did not look like it.

Heath had a very nasty gash on his head, hard to see how that happened with his seat belt on. Modern cars have laminated windscreen which I do not think shatter like older one did.

Brenda seems very forgiving of Cathy, I do not remember her reproaching Cathy once, for taking the car in the first place.
