I thought Ross' acting was superb tonight, waiting for his date at the Hide. I had to rewatch a few times. His facial expressions were perfect.

A field in exchange for a kidney? Why on earth isn't Caleb calling the Police, there is no proof that they killed Anthony.

They paid Ella so obviously there is a budget for a receptionist. Liam asking John to be the receptionist makes no sense, unless it's a plot device of course

They say "The first casualty of war is the truth" equally "The first casualty of Soap drama is credability". None of these stories is in any way believable. Why does Kim protect Joe, are they still in business together? Joe does not seem to acknowledge he has done anything wrong, and everyone should just accept the situation and move on. Kim seems to view it as a business transaction, which can be settled if the price is right. If I was her, I would throw him out on his sorry ass, all the time he stays at Home Farm he implicates her in his crimes, she is assisting an offender. Why would Joe break in to the warehouse, just because he can. If I was Caleb I would be going to court to get my kidney back.

What would happened if Ella had not left? As you say, definitely a plot device, to lead to John doing something extreme.

kim should kick out dawn , they had no issue watching billy tell the kids and blame himself, billy was the only one who believed kim over rose
