oh i thought just once, i missed that, if he had done it to others or friends of ruby i assume it would have come out but ruby did not have contact for over 20 years

He raped her regularly, whether other girls were targeted we will probably find out once this whole story comes out in every detail, which it will with most of the villageers knowing but the main family members trying to keep it a secret...

Why would Cain go to the the Police Station and draw attention to himself, instead of waiting to see if they came back to him about the noise in the garage. With all his dealings with them, surely he would know better?
I really do not think Manpreet would go straight to the police about noise in the garage. Maybe if it was every night for a week. Surely she would have sought out Cain first and complained directly to him. They are writing this to suit where they want the story to go, regardless of reality.

Was tonight's episode meant to be PC Swirling relating April''s story to Rhona and Marlon?

I am wondering if they have rewritten the script, and making April pregnant was an after thought.
If April knew she was pregnant would she have been drinking so much, even if she did not want to keep the baby. April has had a fairly sheltered upbringing but even she cannot have been so niave as to the dangers of being a teenage runaway sleeping rough. With TV and social media it is almost impossible to be so niave nowadays.
The opening scene of her getting into the car did not ring true. The car stopped even though April was not hitching, then she got into the back seat without asking where it was going. Are we meant to take it that April ran away because she was pregnant or because Marlon was a "liar"? Good idea for a story, but poorly written.
