laurel will think she killed him and confess, same with aaron but they are probably innocent unless everything contributed to his death, i think steph or ruby ultimately

I think one of those murdering rocks that abound in Emmerdale has grown legs and done the deed.
If the tooth is found, and I am sure it will, that will lead to traces of blood being found in the depot. The smell and traces of bleach
will itself be suspicious. Likewise Aaron's clothes, they would need to be soaked in cold water as hot water tends to fix blood stains in material, far better to burn them. From watching true crime and forensic programmes it is almost impossible to remove all traces of blood and dna from a crime scene. Does the depot have not have cctv outside did Jai not use it to scam Ross. That should give the police a list of potential suspects. John seems sure the body will not be found, but of course it will, that's what dog walkers are for. Aaron did not seem to be troubled by feelings of guilt when he tried to kill Cain recently. It is possible that he did die as a result of Aaron's beating, but knowing how they like adding dramatic twists, Doubt it.
Laurel is being silly she only hit him once, so I doubt she be a suspect, though Nicola has not helped by going to the hospital.
My money is still on the rock.
I like that it's a Murder on the Orient Express type killing and hope that the police response is similar. This ending is so much better than getting kicked by a horse. I hope.

The rock is always the guilty party.
If it was Ruby or someone else they will soon be wondering why the body has not been found.
