Peter Kay's sequel to reality TV spoof Britain's Got The Pop Factor will air at Christmas.
The original show, which poked fun at singing contests such as X Factor, spawned the comic character Geraldine McQueen, who scored a number two single with
'The Winner's Song'.
Kay's creation will release a festive track called 'Once Upon A Christmas Song' in December, which will be the focus for the second instalment of the comedy programme, titled The Winner's Story.
"Channel 4 were over the moon about the ratings so are champing at the bit for another instalment," a source told The Sun.
"Peter, sorry Geraldine, has already recorded a number of the scenes for the one-off show. It will also feature the Christmas single and its very bizarre video."
In October, Simon Cowell described Peter Kay's musical output from the show as "a pathetic waste of time".
