No wonder Paul Halowaty (who plays Mackie) looks familiar

I thought Paul looked familiar, until someone on digital spy pointed out that he has in fact appeared in Coronation Street as Neil Fearns the lad who got Sarah Louise pregnant with Bethany Platt. I always thought that was a shame they killed off his corrie character, but then where would we be without bullyboy Mackie? Not that I condone bullying myself, I just mean that he seems to be portraying the character of a bully really well. I just hope he doesn't go the same way as Neil, but baddies often do in soaps.

Yes I am sure. I went to the Corrie.net website and they list all the characters and actors. And from the pic of him in 2000 it certainly a remarkable resemlance, plus imdb website says so too.

I recognised him as well but couldn't rember where i went on the corrie.net site and he has right changed from the pic
