Augusts highlights...
Supermodel Cindy Statham's been brutally bludgeoned to death. Her stalker Larry Franks has confessed to the murder and charged accordingly. However, when Jo unearths hidden evidence, she follows her hunch that Franks is innocent and finds proof to back that up. What she doesn't know is the real murderer is working alongside her in CID. The moment Jo realises who the killer is, she's knocked out and held hostage. The killer helps themselves to a gun and ammunition from the station's evidence room and takes of with Jo. Stuart, afraid for his missing colleagues safety, pieces together Jo's last actions and discovers the new clues too - only will he find Jo before the killer uses the gun on her?
Sam Callis joins The Bill cast playing Sgt Callum Stone. He a big guy, good looking, confident and a natural leader - you're going to love him. Before Gold goes on her summer holiday, she fails to mention to Smithy of Stone's imminent arrival, so when he strides into the station and is caught up in a fight, Smithy's quick to tackle Stone to the ground wrenching his arm up his back. Not the best of first days.
Investigating a case of intimidation of vulnerable elderly ladies, Sam and Kezia catch up with the culprit who's claustrophobic. Giving him a taste of his own medicine, Kezia arrests him in the lift - the jolt stops the lift leaving Sam to join in on the enclosed space's torment.
When Roger and Beth ******WARNING USELESS KIDDIECOP ALERT******investigate a pet shop where all the dogs have been released, it's discovered the pooches are being used for drug smuggling. Beth ******WARNING USELESS KIDDIECOP ALERT******falls in love with Harry, a homeless dog, however Harry falls for Roger, buts it's an unrequited love.a dog for a dog then Roger may not go for a dog as a pet, but Harry proves he makes a great detective giving Roger (ahem) paws for thought.
Star of 80s Dempsey and Makepeace show, Michael Brandon stars in The Bill as a charming casino owner. Emma goes undercover there after a punter had her purse stolen following a fruitful night. Brandon's character invites Phil (who has a history of being a sex-addict) to look after his gorgeous wife. Nixon discovers her ex moonlighting working as private security for the casino owner and is far from happy.
