Posh totty Liz Hurley could be on her way to Emmerdale – to play a “sex-mad superbitch” alongside best mate Patsy Kensit
According to the Daily Star, the red carpet regular is in talks with ITV producers to bag a part alongside her good friend Patsy, who has played scheming überbitch Sadie King for just under a year.
But let’s not jump the gun. Soap bosses admit that the Austin Powers star, famed for her plunging necklines and designer safety pins, is only interested in a guest role on the show. Sadly, it doesn't look like she'll date a Dingle or become a Woolpack regular anytime soon.
A source at the show revealed: “It’s terribly hush-hush, but we do have a genuine interest in securing Liz Hurley’s services... she is Patsy’s best pal, and the two of them would love to work together.” The insider added: “Working with Patsy as a pair of sex-mad superbitches would be really good fun for both of them.”
With the likes of Liz and Patsy romping their way through the Dales, Emmerdale in 2005 is a far cry from the days when steamy romance equated to a bit of slap ’n’ tickle with Mandy Dingle down the slurry heap.
