Marlon Dingle's marriage to Rhona Goskirk has been put to the test in recent months

First there was the unexpected reappearance of Rhona's first husband, Gus Malcolms.

And then the discovery that Gus had secretly used some of Rhona's previously frozen embryos to get his wife Lucy pregnant!

Now, village vet Rhona is in BIG trouble after kidnapping and going on the run with baby Ivy!

With the court case looming, things are tense between Marlon and Rhona.

Marlon is doing his best to support Rhona.

But he's also aware that she is starting to neglect her son Leo and stepdaughter April by putting baby Ivy first.

Rhona refuses to abandon her biological baby and wants to apply for parental rights of Ivy.

With both Leo and April unhappy with Rhona at the moment, Marlon is most definitely caught-in-the-middle of the family fallout...

Jimmy King (Nick Miles) and his wife Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) are another stressed-out couple in the village.

Their teenage daughter, Angel (Rebecca Bakes), is facing time behind bars after she confessed to her part in the tragic car crash that killed Heath Hope.

Nicola and Jimmy are devastated that their remaining time with Angel is running out, and she will soon be sent away...

The tragedy has put them at odds with Heath's grieving dad, Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw).

With the clock ticking, Jimmy and Nicola worry that they haven't fully prepared their daughter for the ordeal that lies ahead...

    Tuesday

Belle Dingle should be living happily ever after with her new husband, Tom King

However, it seems the honeymoon is already over...

Just like his KILLER dad Carl, Tom has a dark side.

Tom is becoming more-and-more controlling in his relationship with Belle.

Seizing every opportunity to belittle Belle and make it clear WHO is the boss.

On tonight's episode , Belle is excited after being offered a new job opportunity by local events planner, Suzy Merton (Martine Edinborough).

However, when Belle shares the good news with Tom, he suddenly gives her the silent treatment!

Tom is clearly not happy to see Belle doing well.

Is he about to find a way to horribly humiliate her again?

Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) is looking to stick around in the village again.

Her sister, Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh), is in a bad way following the break-up of her marriage to husband Nate (Jurell Carter).

Her long-time friend, Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry), is in trouble with the law after kidnapping baby Ivy.

Plus, there's the added appeal of being around ex-girlfriend, Suzy.

Maybe Vanessa won't be booking that return plane ticket to Canada after all?

But as the ladies enjoy a flirty moment together in The Woolpack, where does that leave Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson), who may also have her eyes on glamorous Suzy?

    This could get complicated.

And SOMEONE is gonna get their heart broken...

    Wednesday

Rhona Goskirk could be facing criminal charges after kidnapping baby Ivy

But since she is Ivy's biological mum, she doesn't feel like she has done anything wrong.

In fact, she now wants to push for parental rights to Ivy.

This news will not please Rhona's first husband, Gus Malcolms, who has previously reported Rhona to the Police.

With the court case looming, Rhona decides to go against legal eagle Ethan Anderson's (Emile John) advice.

She tells her husband, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock), and her mum, Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson), that she intends to plead NOT GUILTY at her trial!

How will Marlon and Mary react, knowing this could possibly mean a harsher sentence for Rhona?

Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) is shocked when husband Tom King (James Chase) brings up her KILLER past!

A decade ago, teenager Belle was sentenced to time in youth custody after being found guilty of manslaughter.

An argument with her best friend, Gemma Andrews, led to a terrible turn of events...

Belle has put that horrible time behind her.

So Belle can't believe it when Tom tells her that he has promised she will talk to Angel King (Rebecca Bakes) about the secure home she was sent to.

Angel is currently facing a similar fate, after being involved in the SHOCK car crash that killed local lad, Heath Hope.

Can Belle face revisiting her murderous past to help Angel?

    Thursday

Rhona Goskirk hasn't had any further contact with Gus Malcolms since he reported her to the Police

Rhona is now in a whole LOT of trouble for kidnapping their baby daughter Ivy and doing a runner from the village.

However, Rhona's stepdaughter, April Windsor, is worried that Rhona could now be sent to prison.

The schoolgirl sneaks off to visit Gus...

April pleads with Gus to tell the Police that Rhona is innocent.

But after April accidentally lets slip that Rhona is planning to plead NOT GUILTY at the upcoming court hearing, he is furious!

Gus makes his way to the village, where he confronts Rhona, her husband Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and her mum, Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson).

Things get heated when Gus tries to stop Rhona from seeing Ivy.

During a scuffle with Marlon, Gus is knocked to the ground and hurts his hand!

Have things just got a LOT worse for Rhona?

There's a SHOCK in store for the Dingle family.

Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) discovers that the cause of her cancer is the faulty BRCA2 gene.

Chas's brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), his brother Caleb Miligan (William Ash) and Chas's son, Aaron (Danny Miller) are alarmed to learn there's a chance they could have it too.

And there's also a chance that they could pass it onto their children...

How will the family deal with this worrying possibility?

    Friday

Ruby Fox-Miligan is not exactly in the good books with the Dingle family right now

She managed to cause a PUNCH-UP at the wedding of Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) to Tom King (James Chase).

After exposing the affair between Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh) and Caleb Miligan (William Ash)!

But now that Tracy is out of the picture, Ruby is hoping she can have her husband Caleb 100% back again.

However, there's a new worry for Ruby and Caleb when she overhears a worrying conversation about the faulty BRCA2 gene.

    Does this somehow effect Caleb?

As Ruby demands to know what is going on, Caleb's brother, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), gets involved in the commotion.

Ruby doesn't take kindly to Cain's interference.

And much to the SHOCK of everyone in The Woolpack, she publicly knees Cain in the groin!

    Ouch!

Will the heated confrontation lead Caleb to reveal what is going on?

Meanwhile, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) is still reeling from her recent cancer diagnosis.

Chas is supported by her female friends and family, as they talk about her cancer and how finding the lump early hopefully gives her the best chance.

But Chas remains worried about the possibility of having passed the BRCA2 gene onto her son, Aaron (Danny Miller).

She pushes Aaron to make an appointment for his gene test referral.

But will he be convinced to go and find out the possibly life-changing news?

Sadly it will be happening for a good while to come... I know they will not drag this out for weeks/months/years as so often happens, I hope that this storyline will help those in that situation and get help ...
