My mum spends the morning every October 31st stuffing the letter box with newspaper so that the trick or treaters can't put eggs etc through it!

I stayed at home and had 35 'guisers' at the door at various times between 6 and 8pm. They were all dressed up and tended to tell jokes although one wee girl of about 3 or 4 sang baa baa black sheep! I ran out of sweets at the 30th (I had made up bags) and gave the last few money.

The kids around here tend to go out with a parent in attendance, and It was funny seeking the father dressed as a mummy and all the middleaged witches!

Although some of the kids say trick or treat they would never dream of tricking anyone!
