Landing a leading role in a popular soap is a dream come true for many actors.
However, for Neighbours star Andrew Clarke, it's proving to be a short-lived affair.
His character, Alex Kinski, hasn't even appeared in episodes being broadcast in Britain, and yet he's already leaving the show.
The 51-year-old actor has appeared in various TV shows over the years, including Prisoner: Cell Block H, Sons and Daughters, Anzacs and Snowy River: The McGregor Saga.
He even played Laurence Olivier in Blonde, a mini-series about Marilyn Monroe.
Clarke's opening Neighbours scenes are set to be broadcast in the UK in the coming months.
Kinski is reportedly a single father who sweeps one of Ramsay Street's many middle-aged women off their feet.
However, it seems heartbreak is just around the corner for not only the female in question, but also his teenage children - daughter Rachel and son Zeke.
Although those in the know aren't letting on the details, a funeral car has been spotted during shooting.
Clarke's final moments in the serial are due to appear on screen in Australia in December.
