    Emmerdale Spoilers 28th April - 2nd May 2025

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/emm...-drastic-move/

Emmerdale's Cain Dingle begins a desperate search for his missing son Nate Robinson next week, sending killer John Sugden into a tailspin.

As heartbroken Cain sees the impact of Nate's absence on Frankie, he tries calling his son for answers. But when panicked John accidentally answers Nate's phone, how will he hide his darkest secret?

"Cain won't stop until he's found Nate," our Emmerdale source reveals.

"But as Cain starts digging, John's on the backfoot, desperately trying to cover his tracks ? and he's in danger of his twisted charade falling apart."

When Nate's 34th birthday arrives, all thoughts turn to the absent villager, who hasn't been in touch for months. Tracy hands Cain a birthday card she wrote for his son, and Cain is heartbroken to see Frankie has written in it too.

Stung by Nate's disappearance, Cain leaves Nate a voicemail, unaware that his son's killer has possession of his phone.

John listens intently to the voicemail Cain left ? but later when the phone rings again, John's thrown into a panic and accidentally answers. With Cain on the other end, John freaks out and drops the phone, his web of lies unravelling?

"John's mistake could cost him everything," our insider continues.

"Cain's on a mission and keeps calling Nate's number, especially since he heard someone answer the phone. How will John squirm out of this one?"

When Cain opens up to Moira about the weird phone call with Nate, Moira encourages him not to give up.

Inspired by his wife's support, Cain pushes on with his investigation and asks Tracy if she has a new number for Nate.

But when the skint mum admits she hasn't had any contact with Nate since he left, Cain is devastated to see how poor Tracy and Frankie have been left high and dry by his own son.

"Cain has a new plan ? he's going to Shetland," shares our source.

"After spending time with granddaughter Frankie, Cain is outraged at his son's disappearing act. But what will he do when he discovers Nate never made it to Scotland?"

As the walls close in on John, he visits Tracy in an attempt to control the situation ? but when he learns Cain has fled to Shetland, alarm bells start ringing.

How will John engineer the situation to keep a lid on his killer secret? Or will his clumsy mistakes give him away?

Emmerdale's Sarah Sugden decides on a sudden new direction next week, announcing that she wants a baby.

Sarah chooses Vanessa Woodfield as a confidante after taking some time to consider what she really wants from her life.

The teen is given pause for thought over her recent love triangle after Jacob Gallagher and Kammy Hadiq go head-to-head in a dirt bike race this week.

Sarah is furious when she realises that Kammy has gone ahead with the risky race, defying her threats to dump him if he took part.

"Sarah's had enough of all the drama between Kammy and Jacob," our Emmerdale source explains.

"While Kammy's mischievous antics seemed endearing at first, Sarah starts to see it all as a massive waste of her time.

"It's in a conversation with Vanessa that she finally opens up ? declaring that she doesn't want a boyfriend, she wants a baby?"

Vanessa is quick to scrutinise Sarah's decision, questioning whether it's really the right move.

Undeterred, Sarah starts to investigate the possibility of IVF. She seeks confirmation from local doctor Manpreet Sharma over whether she'd be eligible considering her life-limiting medical condition.

Manpreet is sceptical, but Sarah stands firm and soon tells Vanessa that she's been in touch with IVF clinics to confirm her eligibility.

Suddenly, Sarah's gran Charity approaches and the pair become flustered over this awkward interruption to their conversation.

"Vanessa doesn't like the idea of keeping Charity in the dark over Sarah's baby dream," our insider adds.

"It's very difficult for Vanessa after the long history between her and Charity. They're now on decent terms after their break-up and the last thing Vanessa wants is for things to blow up again.

"Vanessa does try her best to convince Sarah to confide in Charity about what's going on, but whether Sarah is willing to trust her gran remains to be seen?"

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Monday, April 28 on ITV1 and ITVX.

Emmerdale's secret killer criminal John Sudgen is given a scare

So Nate Robinson is dead and at the bottom of the lake, and so far John Sugden, who put him there, is the only one who knows.

To everyone else in the village, Nate moved to Shetland for work when his marriage to Tracy fell apart, but recently, and inexplicably, he's stopped sending his ex child support.

With Nate's birthday coming up, dejected Tracy hands Cain a card she and Frankie have made for him, asking him to pass it on.

Cain then tries to call his son and leaves a voicemail – which is picked up by John, who pocketed his mobile before he chucked his body off a viaduct into the water below.

When Cain fails to get a response from Nate, he calls him again and in John's panic, he answers it!

Ringing off, John tosses the mobile, overwhelmed by the sick situation he's created.

At the Woolie, Chas and Liam are gutted when PC Swirling calls in with an update on the attack.

Convinced that Liam's ex was behind the assault and a string of other crimes, the couple are gutted when he reports Ella has an iron-clad alibi.

Will the copper continue his investigations and start to realise that the culprit behind a whole heap of recent trouble is John Sugden, who's living in plain sight and due to marry Chas' son Aaron?

In the cafe, Sarah opens up to Vanessa and confides it's not a boyfriend she wants – it's a baby.

Will the single mum vet share any advice on the matter?

    Tuesday

Has Emmerdale's Cain Dingle got a target on his back

Cain Dingle's getting pretty frustrated with his son Nate, who just won't answer his calls or return his messages.

Though Nate disowned Cain before he left the village, giving him every reason not to want to talk to his dad, he can't call Cain back, of course, as he's dead at the bottom of a lake.

Assuming he's being ghosted, infuriated Dingle mechanic Cain is leaving his son another message when John Sugden – Nate's secret killer – walks past.

Clocking the situation and masking his horror, John strikes up an innocent conversation with Cain.

With the Dingle clearly not about to give up on the search for Nate despite the bad blood, John's going to have to do something about it.

Is he going to attempt to silence Cain?

Elsewhere, Steph has her long-awaited appointment with a plastic surgeon.

She's hoping that a few procedures will stop her from seeing Anthony's face every time she looks in the mirror.

When she returns home, her parents Ruby and Caleb are happy to see that she seems less stressed for the first time in a long time.

Oblivious to the fact that Steph's just booked herself in for a nose job and a brow lift, the Miligans reel when she claims booked a last-minute holiday.

Elsewhere, Sarah talks to GP Manpreet, who struggles to give her answers when the young woman, who has life-limiting disease Fanconi anaemia – tells her she wants to have IVF.

    Wednesday

Emmerdale's Steph Miligan's surgery dreams are ruined by her parents

Steph Miligan has been fantasising about this moment for weeks.

The moment where the ghost of her paedophile father/grandfather Anthony, would be obliterated from her own image.

Arriving at the clinic – where she's booked in for a nose job and a brow lift – Steph's more than ready to go under the knife.

But back at home, trouble is brewing.

Caleb starts to smell a rat about Steph's last-minute holiday to Capri when he looks up the flight number only to find it doesn't exist.

Opening up her laptop, Ruby and Caleb start searching for answers and soon happen upon a string of emails between Steph and the cosmetic clinic.

Panicking, the couple race over to try to stop Steph, and arrive just in the nick of time.

As Steph digs her heels in, determined to go through with it, desperate to stop her torment, what will the Miligans say? Can they talk her out of it?

Elsewhere, as Sarah is updating Vanessa with the latest on her IVF mission, Charity approaches.

Can Vanessa persuade Sarah to open up to her gran about what she's hoping to do?

    Thursday

Emmerdale's John Sugden is trying to cover his killer tracks

Having killed Nate Robinson and thrown him off a bridge into the lake, John Sugden needs to play it cool and keep it together.

But the pressure on his killer secret is starting to build as Nate's family is becoming concerned and frustrated by the dad's lack of contact.

It's Nate's dad Cain, who's really driving the issue, blowing up Nate's phone, which John has pocketed.

When Moira encourages her husband not to give up on his AWOL son – who furiously disowned his dad before he left – Cain's given a boost.

Popping into see Nate's ex, Tracy and daughter Frankie, the grandad is disappointed that his son has seemingly abandoned them.

Galvanised, Cain tells Tracy that he's had it with phone calls, he's going to Shetland, where Nate's been working, to find out what's going on and to try to repair their severed relationship.

Playing Mr Nice, John calls in on Tracy to see if she's OK and offers support to the skint single mum.

To his horror, with the subject of Nate raised, Tracy goes on to mention that Cain's going to Scotland to track him down.

What will the killer do now?

At Mill Cottage, Steph is having a full-blown meltdown.

She's furious that her plan to have cosmetic surgery was ruined.

When Ross finds out what's been going on, his heart breaks for his girlfriend.

As Steph offloads and opens up about her feelings, he tries to console her but is met with a torrent of abuse when something inside her snaps.

Ross stays strong as she lashes out at him.

Her tirade comes to a sudden stop and as a wave of guilt and self-loathing washes over, Steph flees, grabbing a bottle of vodka as she goes.

Elsewhere, despite their recent split, Dawn comforts guilt-ridden Billy when their baby son Evan is taken back into hospital.

    Friday

Emmerdale's Ruby and Caleb Miligan are terrified for Steph

Given what went down the plastic surgeon's office, where Ruby and Caleb got in the way of Steph's ambition to go under the knife, the Miligans are in a state.

She'd banked on the fact that surgery would erase all imagery of her paedophile dad/grandad from her mind and give her some sort of peace. But instead, Ruby and Caleb have stirred up more turmoil.

Steph was furious about her parents' intervention and made her feelings known by smashing up the family home.

Having had a massive go at Ross before disappearing off in the car armed with a bottle of vodka, where's Steph at now?

Is she OK? Will she ever forgive her worried parents for what they've done?

At the Woolpack, Gail's with Ryan. The barmaid's excited because she's come up with a brilliant idea for a theme night at the village pub.
