Neighbours favourite Remi Varga-Murphy is brutally attacked next week, as some detective work from her wife Cara leads to upsetting consequences.

Remi inadvertently becomes a target as Cara boldly tries to figure out who really killed Sebastian Metcalfe.

Seb's body was found in the Lassiters Lake in Neighbours' 40th anniversary episodes two weeks ago.

Leo Tanaka is currently the prime suspect in the case, which is being treated as a murder investigation.

Next week, Cara worries that Leo is being wrongly accused by the authorities.

She feels partly responsible for Leo's predicament, as he was brought back into the spotlight when Cara managed to prove that Fallon Morell was innocent.

Cara hopes for similar success as she sets out to clear Leo's name, despite Remi's protests that she should leave it to the police.

Top of Cara's agenda is figuring out whether Sebastian's drug network could have killed him as punishment for an unpaid debt.

When Cara later stumbles across Sebastian's dealer, Jordan, carrying out a shady exchange with some criminal associates, she secretly takes some photos which could potentially be used as evidence.

Remi is frantic with worry when Cara later reveals her secret surveillance work. She warns that it's not a good idea to keep taking risks like this, but Cara explains that she feels useful when she can help other people.

The next day, there's an unfortunate case of mistaken identity when Jordan and her cronies confuse Remi for Cara.

Jordan and the others violently confront Remi, leaving her terrified. Will she be okay?

Neighbours bad boy Paul Robinson is left in despair next week as he faces a tough battle to keep his relationship on track.

Paul is disappointed when he discovers that his partner Terese Willis is feeling isolated and upset following the arrival of baby Thomas in their lives.

The couple's relationship recently changed forever, as Chelsea Murphy arrived back in Erinsborough with a newborn baby son.

A subsequent DNA test confirmed that Paul is Thomas's father and he immediately vowed to play a role in his son's upbringing.

In upcoming scenes, a Naming Day celebration is held for baby Thomas.

Paul bonds with both Chelsea and Thomas during the happy event and is clearly loving every minute of being a father again. When Terese turns up, she's unsettled by the happy-family sight that greets her and she turns to leave again, without Paul even knowing that she was there.

Later, Paul returns home to the penthouse and questions why Terese hasn't been in touch all day.

Terese comes clean about how she came along to the party to show support, but felt confronted upon seeing him with Chelsea and Thomas. She admits that it was all too much for her, so she freaked out and left.

Feeling terrible, Paul decides that the best way for Terese to tackle her insecurities is by spending time with Thomas.

Paul convinces Chelsea to let Thomas have a sleepover with him and Terese that very evening.

Chelsea agrees, but the idea turns into a nightmare when Thomas suffers a fever and won't stop crying. In the end, Paul is forced to call Chelsea back to console their unwell son.

As it's Chelsea to the rescue, will Terese be left feeling even more like an outsider than she did before?

Neighbours' Leo Tanaka will prepare to make his exit in sad scenes set to air next week.

Currently the police suspect Leo for the murder of Sebastian Metcalfe, although it's unclear whether he was actually responsible.

In scenes set to across the Tuesday, April 8, Wednesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 10 episodes, a court date is set for two months' time and Byron is appointed as a volunteer assistant for Leo's legal team.

Leo keeps estranged wife Krista at arm's length after she cheated on him with Sebastian, and he tells her that she doesn't need to be there for a meeting with a barrister. She's left feeling disappointed.

Due to all the rumours about Leo, he starts to see bookings at his vineyard business Yorokobi cancelled. He asks Byron to become the face of the business and deal with Yorokobi matters.

Later on, Leo and Krista sit down and have a tough but honest conversation about their relationship, and he admits that with the threat of prison looming, he's unsure about his ? and their ? future.

Krista insists that she will stick by him whatever happens, and asks him for time to work on their relationship.

Leo then tells his family that they should prepare for the possibility of him going to jail, and Rafe tells him that prosecutor assigned to his case is notoriously tough, leaving him feeling pessimistic about the outcome.

Will Leo be able to find a way out of this situation, or will he end up imprisoned?
