Phil Mitchell (played by Steve McFadden) hasn't really had a chance to thank his ex-wife, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), for supporting him during his mental health breakdown on EastEnders (7:30pm - see our TV Guide for listings).

On Mother's Day, Sharon is alarmed when Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley) claims Phil has gone missing again...

Sharon, Nigel and Denise Fox (Diane Parish) call the Police.

But it appears that Nigel's dementia has caused him to get all mixed up again, when Phil returns safe and sound.

Grateful for Sharon's continued support, Phil reveals his true feelings for Sharon once the ex-couple are alone together at No.55...

What could this mean?

Is Phil still in love with Sharon?

It's the day of the baby scan for expecting parents Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) and her boyfriend, Peter Beale (Thomas Law).

However, Peter is distracted when he receives word that his mum Cindy (Michelle Collins) has gone missing while visiting old friend, Gita Kapoor...

Cindy temporarily left Albert Square after finding out it was her ex mum-in-law, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), who attacked and left her for DEAD on Christmas Day.

Lauren is left fuming when Peter misses their important hospital appointment!

Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) and Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) meet to smoke weed as they attempt to distract themselves from recent events.

Meanwhile, Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) bumps into a mystery woman, Charlotte, who clearly has a hidden agenda...



Tuesday

Vicki Fowler (now played by Alice Haig) is back on Albert Square for the first time since 2004 

The grown daughter of Michelle Fowler and Den Watts has returned to Walford for the funeral of her uncle, Martin Fowler.

In the meantime, Vicki has been living in Australia with Alfie Moon's (Shane Richie) younger brother, Spencer.

However, Vicki's half-sister, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), is curious when she sees Vicki has arrived with a different fella, Ross (ex-Holby City star Alex Walkinshaw) and his teenage son Joel (Max Murray).

Alfie and his partner, Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), also have questions when they notice there's no sign of Spencer.

Kat questions Vicki on what really happened between her and Spencer.

And it's not long before the true reason behind the long-time couple's break-up is revealed...

At Beale's Eels, the family encourage Peter Beale (Thomas Law) to make amends with girlfriend, Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa).

Lauren is unhappy after Peter missed their hospital baby scan because he was busy worrying on the whereabouts of his mum, Cindy (Michelle Collins).

But how will Lauren react to Peter's grand gesture when he proposes to her!

Meanwhile, Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) discovers her new "friend" Charlotte is a journalist.

Charlotte is after a news SCOOP about Bianca's sister Sonia's (Natalie Cassidy) now dead fiance, Reiss Colwell!

Will Bianca be tempted to reveal ALL about killer Reiss?


Wednesday

It's been over five years since Bex Fowler (played by Jasmine Armfield) left Albert Square to go travelling 

Bex is back in Walford, ready to pay tribute to her dearly departed dad, Martin Fowler.

Bex's mum Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) and aunt Bianca (Patsy Palmer) are thrilled when she arrives at No.25 for a family reunion.

It's Bex's first chance to meet her new baby sister, Julia.

But when Bex asks her mum to accompany her to the undertakers ahead of Martin's funeral, an overcome Sonia can't bring herself to go...

Is there another reason that Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) has come back to Albert Square, besides the funeral of her uncle Martin?

At the cafe, Vicki's fella Ross (Alex Walkinshaw) urges her to ask half-sister Sharon (Letitia Dean) for some money.

However, after a chat with Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), Vicki decides now is not the right time after hearing about Sharon's recent heartaches.

So instead, Vicki sets her sights on her money-bags family relative, Ian (Adam Woodyat).


But WHY does Vicki lie about her debt?

Will Ian agree to loan her some money?
Peter Beale's (Thomas Law) romantic gesture has been a big flop after girlfriend, Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa), turned down his marriage proposal!

But are things about to go from bad to worse between the couple when they sit down for a crisis talk...


Thursday

Sonia Jackson (played by Natalie Cassidy) is dreading the day of her ex-husband, Martin Fowler's funeral

The return of Sonia and Martin's grown daughter, Bex (Jasmine Armfield), is a devastating reminder that it will soon be time to say a final goodbye to him.

On the day before Martin's funeral, there's more tension between Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) and Martin's ex-wife, Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton).

Ruby wants to know of the whereabouts of Martin's other ex-wife/Jean's daughter, Stacey (Lacey Turner).

Meanwhile, Sonia agrees to accompany Bex to the undertakers to say an emotional goodbye beside Martin's coffin.

Both Bex and Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) offer up heartfelt personal tributes to Martin.

However, Sonia finds herself overcome with emotion...

Can she find the words she truly wants to share about her beloved ex-husband?

Elsewhere on Albert Square, Sonia's sister Bianca (Patsy Palmer) has told her about the journalist, Charlotte, who wants an interview about Sonia's now dead, killer fiance Reiss Colwell.

But Sonia doesn't think it is a good idea.

Will Bianca's friend, Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), have any advice for her on the matter?

Plus, Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) decides to delete his online chatbot as his friendship with new lad Joel (Max Murray) continues to blossom.

But WHY is Tommy's dad, Alfie (Shane Richie), unsure about their friendship?

In scenes that will air next week, Vicki arrives in a black cab, but Sharon Watts is surprised to see her with her new partner Ross and his teenage son Joel ? played by Casualty and Holby City's Alex Walkinshaw and newcomer Max Murray.

She was previously thought to have been living in Australia with Spencer Moon, but Vicki explains to her half-sister that they separated, and she is now in a new relationship.

Meanwhile, Alfie Moon and Kat Slater rush over after finding out from Zack Hudson that Vicki is in Walford, with Alfie hoping to see his brother, but they are shocked by Spencer's absence, unaware that they are no longer together.

Kat is suspicious and questions Vicki on her version of events, and it isn't long before she reveals the real reason why she and Spencer split up.

But the new characters seemingly have bigger worries, as later in the caf?, Ross encourages Vicki to ask Sharon for money.

However, Vicki decides against this after speaking to Kathy Beale and finding out about what Sharon has been through recently. She sets her sights on Ian Beale instead, lying about her debt and asking him for a loan.

Ian speaks to Sharon about what Vicki has asked of him, and she confronts her sister at the Boxing Den. But Vicki dismisses her concerns and assures her that everything is fine.

Elsewhere, Ross attempts to introduce himself to Vicki's wider family and the Albert Square locals, and pictures show him talking to Ian and Peter Beale.

Tensions continue to grow between Vicki and Sharon, but Sharon later gets some advice from Linda Carter, which gives her food for thought.

Why is Vicki in need of money, and will she come together with Sharon to say goodbye to Martin?

Nigel breaks the worrying news to Sharon that Phil is missing. Nigel, Sharon and Denise call the police, but Phil soon returns and offers a simple explanation for his whereabouts. Phil realises that the mix-up was caused by Nigel's dementia, so he tries to cover for his friend.

Sharon continues to worry about Phil, who's touched by her obvious concern. When they get a moment alone at No.55, Phil reveals his true feelings for Sharon.

Later, Vicki Fowler returns to Walford in a black cab.

Meanwhile, Gina warns Peter that Cindy has gone AWOL and they worry about her whereabouts. This causes Peter to miss Lauren's baby scan, much to her disappointment.

Elsewhere, Avani and Lily try to distract themselves from recent events by smoking weed.

Also today, Bianca meets Charlotte, who seems to have a hidden agenda.

Vicki introduces Sharon to her new partner Ross and his son Joel. She explains that she's back in town for Martin's funeral, and has separated from Spencer. Alfie and Kat are stunned by the revelations.

Later, Kat questions Vicki on her explanation for the break-up. It doesn't take long before the true reasons are revealed.

Meanwhile, Peter tries to make amends with Lauren by proposing, but she turns him down. Later, Lauren explains to Peter and Kathy why she can't accept the proposal.

Elsewhere, Bianca discovers that Charlotte is a journalist and refuses to give her an interview regarding Reiss, but is she secretly considering it?

Also today, Joel introduces himself to Avani and Tommy.

Meanwhile, Peter and Lauren have crisis talks.

Elsewhere, Bex returns to Walford ahead of Martin's funeral. Bex asks Sonia to join her at the undertakers as she says goodbye to Martin, but Sonia doesn't want to go.

Also today, Joel and Ross try to get to know the Walford locals better.

It's the day before Martin's funeral. Ruby says an emotional goodbye to Martin at the undertakers, while Sonia also finally agrees to join Bex as she pays her last respects to her dad.

Kathy and Bex share some personal tributes at Martin's coffin, but Sonia can't bring herself to speak. It's only when Sonia is alone that she says her final goodbye.

Meanwhile, tensions rise between Sharon and Vicki. Linda gets involved by giving Sharon some food for thought.

Elsewhere, Bianca meets with Kat.

Also today, Tommy deletes the online chatbot as he's now friends with Joel instead. Alfie is unsure about Tommy's new friendship.
