    Exclamation Corrie Spoilers 24th - 28th March 2025

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...-hostage-plot/

Coronation Street fans will see a life hang in the balance next week as Rob Donovan's storyline comes to a head.

One character is rushed to hospital after a gunshot is fired following a shocking hostage situation.

Rob is about to start hiding out at No.1 after his ex-partner Tracy McDonald spots him lurking in the ginnel.

Tracy agrees that Rob can stay for a short while as he prepares for his permanent escape from Weatherfield, but she quickly regrets her decision as he starts making demands for further help.

Next week, Tracy is forced to do Rob's bidding again as she calls his sister Carla Connor and lures her to No.1 on false pretences.

Carla agrees to come along after hearing Tracy's bogus story about a business proposition. She's shocked to come face-to-face with Rob, who's holding a gun.

Rob is still in pain after his recent injuries, but he's clear that he holds all the cards while clutching the weapon.

Show bosses are keeping quiet about whether Rob still plans to flee and take Tracy with him, or if his priority is now exacting revenge on Carla.

Meanwhile, Carla's partner Lisa Swain is horrified when she learns that a hostage situation is unfolding inside No.1.

She prepares to put herself in the line of fire to save Carla and bring Rob to justice once and for all, but it may already be too late as a gunshot is fired.

Later, the character who took the bullet is rushed to hospital and their loved ones anxiously gather in the waiting room for updates.

Will this mystery individual survive, or is another tragic death about to rock Weatherfield?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Tuesday, March 25 and Wednesday, March 26 on ITV1 and ITVX.

Coronation Street kicks off Todd Grimshaw's new romance storyline next week.

Todd is smitten when a chance meeting with show newcomer Theo Silverton looks likely to lead to more.

The storyline begins as Todd's mum Eileen tries to help her sister Julie Carp make the most of her final months following her terminal cancer diagnosis.

Todd gets on board by arranging a trip to a cocktail bar for Eileen and Julie. Worryingly, Julie decides to skip her medication for the day without consulting anyone.

Later, as Julie heads to the tram with Eileen, she's suddenly struck by pain and has to lean on a wall to stay standing.

There's building work taking place nearby and a piece of scaffolding falls, narrowly missing Julie.

Theo is the site manager who's overseeing the work and he instantly apologises for the incident. However, he soon messes up by claiming that Julie was faking her pain as the scaffolding missed her by miles.

George Shuttleworth explains that Julie has cancer, which leaves Theo feeling mortified over his lack of tact. He decides to buy Julie flowers as an apology ? and Todd is only too happy to show the handsome builder where the local florists is.

Later in the week, Julie decides to hurry things along for Todd and Theo. Playing matchmaker, Julie contacts Theo and claims that the roof is leaking at No.11.

When Theo turns up to check it out, he's surprised to find Todd alone. Theo isn't impressed and declares that he's not gay, so wants Todd and his "crazy aunt" to leave him alone.

This won't be the final word, though, as Theo later invites Todd out for a drink and they start to get along much better.

When Todd ends his day by flirting with a guy on a dating app, he's thrilled to find that it's Theo. Could they make things work after all?

James Cartwright, who plays Theo, recently teased: "I think Theo is a good guy. He comes in with the best of intentions, as most people do, but he may upset some people with his behaviour."

He added: "I had a line the other day where I said 'I think I left my trousers in the bedroom' so make of that what you will."

Coronation Street airs Theo's arrival on Tuesday, March 25 on ITV1 and ITVX.
