    Exclamation EastEnders Spoilers 17th - 20th February 2025

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/eas...isode-airdate/

EastEnders has confirmed the date of their exciting live episode, to mark the show's 40th anniversary next month.

The BBC soap will mark this huge milestone by airing a week of episodes that will all take place over the course of just one day.

On Wednesday, February 19, exactly 40 years since the show was first broadcast on BBC One, EastEnders will air an hour-long, drama-filled episode.

Then on Thursday, February 20, the soap will air a fully live episode, with events that will change Walford and the lives of its residents forever.

This will include the reveal of who attacked Cindy Beale on Christmas Day, while Sonia Fowler will play a major role following the announcement of Natalie Cassidy's departure.

EastEnders has also revealed details of how viewers will be able to vote in the interactive storyline which sees Denise Fox choose between two potential suitors.

After the hour-long anniversary episode at 8.30pm, the vote will open on the BBC's website, with viewers requiring a BBC account to be able to pick between Ravi Gulati and Jack Branning.

Voting will close the next day at 7.10pm, just 20 minutes before the start of the live episode at BBC Elstree Centre. The votes will be independently verified and handed to executive producer Chris Clenshaw.

With the result revealed to the cast and crew, the losing script will be disregarded, and the team will prepare to perform the choice that has been picked by the audience.

However, there is another twist in the tale, as viewers won't just get to play matchmaker for Denise ? they will also be given another decision to make, which will go down in Walford's history.

Alongside the major drama on-screen, there will also be lots of content across the BBC and BBC iPlayer to mark EastEnders' big anniversary.

As previously announced, Ross Kemp will front a documentary special about the show's groundbreaking storylines, amid his sensational return as Grant Mitchell next month.

In addition, Joe Swash will host a 45-minute interview special for BBC Three, titled EastEnders Revealed: The Lock In, where he will chat to some of the actors involved in the anniversary week plot.

EastEnders has teased a "shocking" return during the show?s dramatic 40th anniversary week and the upcoming deadly disaster in The Vic.

Later this month, the BBC soap is celebrating four decades on TV with a huge week of episodes culminating in a completely live instalment on Thursday, February 20.

It was reported back in December that an explosion will tear through the famous pub in the episodes, putting the lives of many Walford residents at risk.

Now, advanced spoilers released by the BBC have provided some brief details of what viewers can expect during this iconic week of episodes, which all take place over a single day.

As Billy and Honey prepare to get married, there are struggles for other characters. Phil makes a "heartbreaking decision" amid his declining mental health and Cindy continues to search for her attacker.

Later in the exciting week, there's what's described as a "shocking return" that has big consequences, shortly before a "tragic disaster" hits Albert Square.

There are set to be high stakes in the already risky live episode, as the community fight to save their friends and neighbours from The Vic in the wake of these dramatic events.

Elsewhere, Denise faces a huge decision. That decision will be put in the hands of the public, as viewers will get to choose whether she pursues a relationship with Ravi or gets back together with Jack ahead of the live episode.

The full teaser spoilers follow below.

    Monday, February 17 ? 7.30pm
Billy and Honey excitedly prepare to tie the knot, Phil makes a heartbreaking decision and Cindy uses dirty tricks to smoke out her attacker.

    Tuesday, February 18 ? 7.30pm
Cindy puts herself in control, Stacey makes a daring confession and a shocking return changes everything.

    Wednesday, February 19 ? 7.30pm (hour-long episode)
Lives are in peril as a tragic disaster engulfs Albert Square. Linda is on a mission to help a friend in need and Denise faces a huge decision.

    Thursday, February 20 ? 7.30pm (live episode)
EastEnders goes live as part of the show?s 40th anniversary week. Walford?s residents fight to save their friends and neighbours inside The Vic. Denise takes a big step.

Ian Beale (Adam Woodyat) and his ex-wife, Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), have another massive bust-up after she punched him last week!

Cindy is hellbent on finally exposing her Christmas Day attacker.

As Billy and Honey's wedding celebrations get underway at the Vic, Cindy storms in to publicly accuse SOMEONE of whacking her with a shovel and leaving her for dead.

The showdown takes a life-threatening turn as vengeful Cindy is armed and dangerous...

Denise Fox (Diane Parish) is even more conflicted as lovestruck Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) and Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) both ramp up their efforts to prove they are the right man for her.

    WHO should Denise choose?

Meanwhile, an old feud is reignited when Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) runs into Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) in Albert Square for the first time in years...

    Tuesday

Reiss Colwell (played by Jonny Freeman) is still on the loose

Sonia Jackson (Natalie Cassidy) now knows the KILLER truth about her fiance, Reiss.

He murdered his ex-wife Debbie and then tried to frame pregnant Sonia's older sister, Bianca (Patsy Palmer), for the crime!

Sonia and Bianca try to enjoy Billy (Perry Fenwick) and Honey Mitchell's (Emma Barton) wedding celebrations.

However, while the ladies are over at the Vic, Reiss creeps into No.25 and lies in wait for them...

Phil Mitchell's (Steve McFadden) family and friends are worried that he could be becoming a danger to himself...

Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), who has had her own battle with alcohol and mental health issues, raises the alarm after finding evidence that provides a devastating insight into Phil's current state of mind.

Can Linda along with Phil's brother, Grant (Ross Kemp), and mate Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley) find Phil before something terrible happens?

There's a SHOCK showdown between Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) and the person in possession of her missing locket.

Armed and dangerous, Cindy is convinced she has finally unmasked the culprit who whacked her over the head with a shovel and left her for DEAD on Christmas Day.

But how far will Cindy go to avenge the attack?

    Wednesday

On tonight's ONE HOUR episode, celebrating the official 40th Anniversary of the BBC series, there's a fight to survive following an explosion at the Queen Vic!

During the wedding celebrations of Billy (played by Perry Fenwick) and Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton), a huge explosion rocks the pub!

Over at The Arches, Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp), Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) try to stop Grant's brother, Phil (Steve McFadden), from making a SHOCK decision.

But having hit rock bottom with his mental health, Phil believes there is no other way out...

Can Phil's family and friends find a way to reach him before it's too late?

Denise Fox (Diane Parish) is still all mixed-up over the two men in her life.

But when she discovers that her ex-husband, Jack, and lover Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) are both caught-up in the explosive events at the Vic, will she reach a decision about WHO her heart truly belongs to?

    Thursday

On tonight's special LIVE episode of the BBC soap, screening as part of the 40th Anniversary celebrations, pregnant Sonia is due to give birth again.

However, the circumstances are far from ideal.

Not only is Sonia's killer fiance, Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman), the father of her unborn child.

But Sonia finds herself going into labour during explosive events at the Vic during the wedding celebrations of Billy (Perry Fenwick) and Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton).

With no medical support on hand and only two traumatised people close to lend a helping hand, will both Sonia and her baby make it out alive?

Meanwhile, family and friends anxiously wait for news about those still trapped in the Vic following the wedding day explosion.

As the Emergency Services arrive on the scene, there's a race against time to save the remaining residents before the damaged building collapses...

The terrible turn of events lead Denise Fox (Diane Parish) to realise it's time for her to decide WHO the man of her future is.
