    Exclamation Emmerdale Spoilers 3rd - 7th February 2025

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/emm...hback-episode/

Emmerdale airs a special flashback episode focusing on April Windsor next week.

The ITV soap provides answers on April's recent whereabouts after PC Swirling turns up with an important update to share.

April ran away from home at Christmas after enduring weeks of problems.

These included being kidnapped by Ross Barton's ruthless enemy Jade, discovering the truth about her mum Donna's death, and falling out with her father Marlon Dingle.

Next week, Swirling arrives at Marlon and Rhona's home and asks them to sit down as he shares some news.

Swirling confirms that April has been found, marking the end of the emotional six-week search for her. Will she be returning home safe?

In a special episode airing on Tuesday, February 4, Emmerdale viewers learn April's tragic story for the first time via flashback scenes.

Marlon and Rhona are left completely overwhelmed as Swirling brings them up to date with the upsetting details about April. Will life for the family ever be the same again?

Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon, explained: "Swirling confirms that April has been found, but he doesn't say whether she is alive or dead.

"The special episode is incredible and Amelia [Flanagan, who plays April] is incredible in it. The episode fills in all of the gaps, which the audience have only been able to guess at so far."

He added: "I'm really proud of the show for doing it ? I think it's a remarkable piece of drama. You meet new characters, who are going to be really significant going forward.

"You see the alternate life that April has been living, which will come to be a major problem for Marlon going forward because he can't comprehend it."

Earlier this month, CCTV footage confirmed that April had been spotted in Leeds.

This gave Marlon a focal point for the search for the first time, but he began to push himself too far and risk his health by devoting every hour he could to the mission.

Emmerdale's Cain Dingle panics next week as he's confronted over betraying his brother Caleb Miligan.

Cain is forced to lie straight to Caleb's face when quizzed over the claims made by Anthony Fox earlier this month.

Viewers know that Cain and Ruby slept together at the garage late last year. At the time, Cain was in turmoil as he feared that he was losing his wife Moira, who was undergoing surgery to remove a brain tumour.

Ruby was also struggling at the time, feeling unsettled by the presence of her father Anthony in the village. The ITV soap has since revealed that Anthony sexually abused Ruby when she was a teenager.

Cain and Ruby swore each other to secrecy last year and agreed that their hook-up had been a terrible mistake. However, Anthony later became suspicious over their strange dynamic and forced Ruby to tell him what had happened.

Last week, Caleb held Anthony at gunpoint after finding out the disturbing truth about his crimes. Anthony tried to regain the upper hand by telling Caleb that Cain and Ruby were having an affair.

Caleb has kept quiet about Anthony's allegations in recent days, but he finally breaks his silence next week.

When Caleb raises the issue, Cain immediately denies sleeping with Ruby and demands to know who is spreading "false" gossip.

Caleb tells Cain that it came from Anthony, but he secretly feels awkward about the wider circumstances which surrounded the accusation.

Can Cain keep his guilty secret as the pressure grows? And what will Caleb confess as the conversation with his brother continues?

Beth Cordingly, who plays Ruby, recently said: "I think it's good when stuff doesn't come out too quickly, because then it's just sitting there waiting and you know as soon as something's going okay, it could just come out.

"Then you've got all this potential destruction."

She added: "Cain means so much to Caleb. It's quite hard for Ruby to break his heart, but this would be the way to do it, not that that was her intention. She was trying to hurt herself.

"She and Moira were becoming friends too, and had this really kind of wonderful relationship of spikiness and difficultness and then opening up to each other. So there's that to damage too.

"I hope it's really clear that there isn't any kind of romance going on between Cain and Ruby at all. They both regretted it from the second it was over."

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Monday, February 3 on ITV1 and ITVX.

Kim has noticed Joe's amorous run-ins with Dawn, but he uses his painkiller story to quell her suspicions, which she seemingly accepts.

Emmerdale has confirmed that Joe Tate will start manipulating his half-brother Noah Dingle.

Joe cruelly causes trouble for his younger sibling in next week's episodes, which confirms the worst fears of Noah's concerned mum Charity.

Shortly after returning to the village at Christmas, Joe tried his best to apologise to Noah for letting him down in the past.

Noah initially wanted nothing to do with Joe, especially after hearing him bad-mouthing the Dingles.

However, when Joe proved persistent and claimed that he genuinely wanted to spend some time together, Noah finally agreed to give him another chance.

Noah's decision left Charity very worried, convinced that there's always a hidden agenda where Joe is concerned.

Next week, it seems that Charity could be right as Noah is plagued by malicious online reviews regarding his work as an electrician.

Joe assures Noah that the negative online attention won't affect him, but he's hiding the fact that he's the one who's secretly posting the nasty messages.

Later, Joe suggests that Noah should fly out to Dubai and start working there instead.

Joe claims that he can pull some strings to get Noah a job there and hypes up how great the opportunity would be.

Noah seems interested but Charity intervenes, sternly insisting that he can't go. As Noah seems unlikely to listen, how will Charity handle the situation? And will Noah ever see Joe's true colours?

Ned Porteous, who plays Joe, previously teased his character's hidden agenda by saying: "I'm so excited to be returning to Emmerdale. There's a lot of unfinished business for Joe, and it feels like the right time for him to make a comeback.

"Joe has always been a character with a dark side, but there could be something much bigger at play here. Joe is back for a reason, and the devastation at Home Farm is just the beginning of a much bigger story."

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Monday, February 3 on ITV1 and ITVX.

Emmerdale has confirmed what happened to April Windsor in pictures from the upcoming special episode.

Set to air on Tuesday February 4, viewers will see a special standalone episode of the soap which recounts April's heartbreaking story, detailing what happened to her while she was missing.

April ran away from home over Christmas after a troubling few weeks in which she was kidnapped by Jade, discovered what really happened to her late mum Donna, and fell out with her dad Marlon Dingle.

During the past few weeks, Marlon and Rhona have faced emotional turmoil as they searched for the missing teen and in Monday's episode they will receive a visit from PC Swirling, telling them that April has been found.

Tuesday's flashback episode will follow April's journey on the streets from having no luck finding anywhere to stay to the heartbreaking and terrifying situations the teenager found herself in.

Emmerdale Producer, Laura Shaw, said of the episode: "April's flashback episode is a heartbreaking depiction of life on the street as a teenage girl.

"Continuing to take guidance from the fabulous team at Missing People, it was incredibly important that we didn't shy away from the agonising journey that April would go through and their help was invaluable in making sure the episode has the authenticity required.

"Amelia Flanagan's outstanding performance makes this arguably, one of Emmerdale's stand out episodes of this year and promises to start a new journey for the character of April, forever changed by her time living on the city streets."

Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon, previously praised April actor Amelia Flanagan's performance in the episode, saying: "The special episode is incredible and Amelia is incredible in it. The episode fills in all of the gaps, which the audience have only been able to guess at so far."

Emmerdale has updated fans on Belle Dingle's storyline following the recent exit of her abusive husband Tom.

Belle has taken a short break from our screens since the drama of Tom's trial and the joy of being reunited with Piper the dog at Christmas.

Monday's episode saw Belle make a return to our screens as she popped into Take A Vow ? her former workplace ? for a visit.

Leyla Cavanagh and Suzy Merton were both delighted as Belle confirmed that she felt ready to return to work.

Belle previously thrived as an events planner at the business, but she stepped away as Tom's evil abuse started to affect every aspect of her life.

Tom was unable to accept Belle's career and independence, so he worked to sabotage her job as he wanted her to stay at home.

Speaking in December about Belle's long-term future, Eden Taylor-Draper ? who plays her ? commented: "I don't think there'll be an end point to that journey or that healing. Speaking to the producers and the research team, everyone's so passionate that this story doesn't end when this side of the story ends.

"There's a whole other world to explore with it. I guess this is the side that you don't often see, the aftermath and the healing. I'm really proud that it's something they're so focused on getting right as well."

She added: "For Belle to go and speak to women's refuges or however she deal with it, I think that'll be great to show. So I don't think there'll be an end point to that. A bit like her psychosis ? that's always going to be a part of her. Instead of it being something she feels is holding her back, I think hopefully it'll be a strength."

Tom was found guilty of abusing Belle as the case went to trial in December. These scenes marked the end of James Chase's time in the role of Tom after nearly two years.

Emmerdale fans can see the Belle scenes tonight at the earlier time of 7pm on ITV1, or right now on ITVX.
