    Exclamation Emmerdale Spoilers 9th - 13th December 2024

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/emm...hback-special/

Emmerdale explores Ruby Fox-Miligan's backstory with some special flashback scenes next month.

The ITV soap takes viewers back in time to the day of Ruby's 16th birthday as a secret from her past is revealed.

Viewers have recently seen the introduction of Ruby's father Anthony and her estranged daughter Steph, played by new cast members Nicholas Day and Georgia Jay.

While Ruby has tried her best to reconcile with Steph, she has never seemed comfortable with having Anthony in the village.

As the drama continues next month, local gossip Brenda Walker lets slip to Anthony that Ruby's husband Caleb had an affair with Tracy Robinson a few months ago.

Anthony is disgusted by the news and quickly confronts Caleb over his behaviour.

Ruby steps in to defend Caleb, as well as her own actions relating to the affair. However, Anthony refuses to back down and continues to ask uncomfortable questions.

Later, Ruby is pleased when she manages to make some progress with Steph. However, Anthony makes life awkward by continuing to reference the past.

As the week continues, Steph sees a chance to bond with her mum when she finds a photo showing Ruby's 16th birthday.

Ruby pretends not to remember the occasion, but it's clear that she's troubled by whatever happened that day.

In special scenes flashing back to 1992, Ruby is shown getting along well with fellow teenager Rob. Viewers then get a surprising insight into Ruby's past, but why is she so unsettled?

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Thursday, December 12 on ITV1 and ITVX.

In scenes airing early next month, an oblivious Moira plans a surprise birthday party for Cain. She dismisses concerns from her son Matty Barton, who doesn't think she's well enough for the celebratory gathering.

Meanwhile, as Cain struggles to cope with his guilt around Moira, he lies about his whereabouts so that he can spend some time away from her.

The timing couldn't be worse, as Moira is expecting Cain to be by her side when she attends her latest medical appointment.

Cain springs into action when he receives a desperate voicemail from Moira, who demands to know why he isn't there to support her.

He tries his best to be by Moira's side at the eleventh hour, but mishaps and delays hinder his progress ? including being blocked in by Jai Sharma's car.

As Cain becomes erratic while trying to reach the hospital in time, he's stopped by PC Swirling. He gets aggressive in response and is ultimately arrested for his bad behaviour.

Cain begs Swirling for a chance to at least have a private conversation with Moira on the phone before he's taken away.

When they finally get their chance to speak, Moira is shocked to learn that Cain has been arrested, but she assures him that her results are fine.

Once alone with Matty, however, Moira clarifies that she'll need to undergo radiotherapy treatment, and she breaks down in tears in front of her son.

Later, Cain is released with a warning by Swirling but chooses to get drunk at the allotment rather than returning home to Moira. It's left to Cain's friend Liam Cavanagh to step in and bring him back to Butler's.

Moira is concerned by Cain's downward spiral and warns him to pull himself together, as his family have planned a "surprise" party for him the next day.

Knowing that he won't be in the mood to celebrate, Cain realises that it's time to confess all to Moira. Will he go through with it?

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Tuesday, December 10, and Wednesday, December 11, on ITV1 and ITVX.

Emmerdale's Kim Tate is cruelly tricked next month as her husband Will Taylor suggests renewing their wedding vows.

Kim is currently oblivious to how Will is still plotting against her following their recent romantic reunion ? setting the stage for a major Christmas storyline.

Earlier this week, Kim and Will managed to get their troubled marriage back on track following Will's outlandish plan to briefly fake his own death.

Will tried to pull out of his secret alliance with Kim's financial advisor Peter, who is also trying to bring her down. However, Will quickly changed his mind again when he decided that he still couldn't fully trust Kim.

As the saga continues next month, Will meets up with Peter for an update on their scheming.

Will is keen to get a move on with their masterplan, but Peter urges patience and insists that there has been a change of circumstance.

Although Will demands to know more, Peter refuses to disclose any details. It seems that the delay relates to the mysterious third party who is pulling Peter's strings, but he refuses to call them.

Later, Will starts to regret his deception when Kim puts genuine effort into preparing a joyous Christmas for the two of them.

Kim is keen to cement the apparent fresh start in their relationship by enjoying a festive season to remember.

Already in too deep with his deception, Will continues to follow Peter's orders and asks Kim if she'd like to renew their wedding vows on Christmas Day.

Kim is overjoyed and gets visibly emotional over Will's gesture. She's clearly falling into a nasty trap, but will she realise it before it's too late?

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Thursday, December 12 and Friday, December 13 on ITV1 and ITVX.

Emmerdale's Ross Barton will be left devastated in upcoming scenes when his son Moses Dingle doesn't want to go anywhere near him.

In scenes set to air on Monday, December 9, Ross is shocked to find that Moses is suddenly petrified of him.

Knowing that he must have done something to make Moses want to avoid him, Ross feels defeated.

Given her son's terrified reaction, Charity Dingle goes into protection mode and sends Ross packing.

Later on, Ross observes the close bond between Mackenzie Boyd and Moses, and abandons his plans to reconcile with his son.

Can Ross get back on better terms with Moses? And why is Moses suddenly so frightened of him?

Ross will also face a desperate race against time next week as April Windsor is abducted by dangerous newcomer Jade.

Jade decides that Ross is responsible for the ?10,000 that went missing from the fight she recently organised between him and Billy Fletcher, though viewers know that Mackenzie Boyd is responsible.

She finds out about Ross's past connection to April and kidnaps her as leverage, before texting Ross to arrive with the money at April's location: the same multi-storey car park where April's mum Donna died in 2014.

Speaking to Digital Spy and other media about the storyline, Ross actor Michael Parr explained: "Ross knows that Jade is a dangerous and sinister character. But I think he doesn't realise how deep the rabbit hole goes with her and what she is willing to do to make sure she wins and gets her money back.

"It's hugely traumatic for Ross to be back in the location where Donna died. It brings back the worst memories. Seeing somebody die, especially the first girl who has ever loved him and his first experience with love, was quite a traumatic event for him."

Ross Barton (played by Michael Parr) has been hoping to reconnect with his young son, Moses Dingle, since returning to the village

However, Ross is shocked to find Moses is now petrified of him...

Which perhaps is no surprise, since Moses has already witnessed his dad's violent side and almost got shot by him in the barn where Ross was bare-knuckle boxing!

Ross feels defeated when Moses doesn't want to be near him.

Seeing their son is scared, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) quickly sends one-time lover Ross packing...

Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) wants to throw a SURPRISE party to celebrate husband Cain's (Jeff Hordley) birthday.

Moira's son, Matty (Ash Palmisciano), is worried that she's not well enough to arrange a party while she's recovering from her recent brain surgery.

But Moira is determined to show her thanks to Cain for supporting her through her darkest hour...

However, Moira might not be feeling quite so generous if she knew what Cain and Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) got up to at the village garage while she was in hospital going under the surgeon's knife!

In the mean time, Cain continues to feel overwhelmed with guilt over his betrayal...

Meanwhile, Angelica King (Rebecca Bakes) renews her attempts to get her dad, Jimmy (Nick Miles), to read a letter written by his nephew, Tom (James Chase).

Tom is currently behind bars after being charged with domestic violence and coercive controlling behaviour towards his wife, Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).

Angelica has secretly contacted Tom in prison after his arrest...

But will Jimmy see through Tom's attempt to further manipulate his family with more lies about what happened between him and Belle?

    Tuesday

Cain Dingle (played by Jeff Hordley) is laying low with a very guilty conscience

While his wife, Moira (Natalie J Robb), prepares for another hospital visit to receive her pathology results, Cain is nowhere to be found!

Moira is anxious not to have heard from Cain all night.

Little does she know that he is trying to avoid her, after secretly sleeping with Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) on the day of Moira's life-changing brain surgery!

Unable to postpone her appointment any longer, Moira prepares to find out her test results alone...

Meanwhile, things go from bad to worse for Cain when he gets pulled over on the road by PC Swirling (Andy Moore).

Cain is stressed-out that he is going to miss Moira's appointment and starts to get aggressive with the Police...

It's not long before Cain finds himself ARRESTED!

Will Moira be able to forgive Cain for abandoning her on such an important day?

And what will her hospital test results reveal?

Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) is not happy after finding out about his son-in-law, Caleb Miligan's (William Ash) previous affair with villager Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh).

Anthony has never approved of his daughter Ruby's marriage to Caleb.

So this is just the ammunition he needs to challenge Caleb about his intentions towards Ruby.

Ruby is left unsettled after angry Anthony confronts Caleb about the affair and won't let the matter drop...

Jimmy King (Nick Miles) is rattled when he realises his teenage daughter, Angelica (Rebecca Bakes), has contacted his nephew, Tom (James Chase), in prison.

Tom is clearly using Angelica to further manipulate his family and convince uncle Jimmy that he is an innocent man!

Will Jimmy see through Tom's manipulation when Angelica tries to convince him to read the letter Tom has written?

    Wednesday

Cain Dingle (played by Jeff Hordley) is a free man again after his latest run-in with the Police

However, now Cain has even more to feel guilty about.

His temporary arrest caused him to miss wife Moira's (Natalie J Robb) important hospital appointment.

So she went alone to find out her pathology test results and discovered she will need to have radiotherapy after her recent brain surgery...

Meanwhile, Cain attempts to ease his guilty conscience by hitting the booze.

Village doctor Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) is concerned when he finds Cain drunk at the allotment.

    Liam drives Cain back home.

But Moira is not happy about her husband's behaviour, considering she is planning a SURPRISE birthday party for him!

Overwhelmed with the guilt of having betrayed Moira by hooking-up with Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) at the village garage, will Cain finally come clean about what he has done?

Meanwhile, Ruby has no intention of mentioning THE incident now that she is back in a good place with her husband/ Cain's brother, Caleb (William Ash).

As Christmas approaches, Ruby wants to focus on repairing her relationship with her previously estranged daughter, Steph (Georgia Jay).

However, her dad Anthony's (Nicholas Day) dark mood, after finding out about Caleb's previous affair with villager Tracy Shankley (Amy Walsh), is still like a storm cloud hovering over the Fox-Miligan family.

Can they all find a way to move forward after past wrongs?

    Thursday

In the present day, Steph Miligan (played by Georgia Jay) finds a photo of her mum, Ruby (Beth Cordingly), taken on her 16th birthday back in 1992.

Ruby pretends she doesn't remember the photo being taken.

But in private, she's triggered by the photo which brings back some troublesome memories from the past...

As the episode rewinds back in time to 1992, will we find out more about how teenager Ruby first became romantically involved with her now husband, Caleb (William Ash)?

Which would later cause a HUGE family fallout...

Jimmy King (Nick Miles) is convinced to visit his nephew, Tom (James Chase), behind bars after being emotionally blackmailed by his teenage daughter, Angelica (Rebecca Bakes).

Tom is pleading not guilty to the charges against him, and sticks to his story that his estranged wife, Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper), is to blame for what has happened to him.

Will Jimmy see through Tom's crocodile tears and claim that he is an innocent man?

Meanwhile, Angelica has totally fallen for Tom's manipulation.

But her parents, Jimmy and Nicola (Nicola Wheeler), are unaware that the schoolgirl is about to resort to desperate measures to help Tom's cause...

Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) is out for payback on his wife, Kim (Claire King), after she secretly hired bad boy, Ross Barton (Michael Parr), to "remove" him from the village.

Things didn't go as planned and Will was left for DEAD...

Kim remains unaware that Will in now in cahoots with her financial advisor lover, Peter (David Michaels).

Will wants to push forward with their plan to take down Kim.

However, Peter warns Will that they need to wait as there is now a MYSTERY third party involved in their plan!

    But WHO?

    Friday

Kim Tate (played by Claire King) is ready to give her marriage to Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) another go

Kim wanted payback on Will after she found out that he slept with his first wife, Rose Jackson, back in the summer.

But Kim's plan to send Will packing took a near-fatal turn when she hired bad boy Ross Barton (Michael Parr) to "remove" her hated husband from the village.

During a struggle with Ross, Will fell and hit and his head and was later left for DEAD...

However, the couple have since reunited and Kim has agreed to cancel their divorce proceedings.

But little does she know, Will is now in cahoots with her former financial advisor lover, Peter (David Michaels).

The men are plotting to bring down the Home Farm bosslady...

On tonight's episode of the ITV soap, Will starts to feel guilty when Kim puts extra effort into their Christmas preparations.

Kim is surprised when Will asks if she'd like to renew their wedding vows on Christmas Day!

But she's unaware that he is acting on Peter's orders...

By now, we know that there has been a LOT of bad blood between the members of the Fox-Miligan family in the past.

But now that they have been reunited under the same roof again after years of being estranged from each other, is there a chance they could enjoy a very happy Christmas together?

Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay) tries to bring everyone together by getting out the Christmas decorations at Mill Cottage.

But is all the past bad blood between Steph's parents, Ruby (Beth Cordingly) and Caleb (William Ash), with Ruby's recently returned dad, Anthony (Nicholas Day), fully resolved?

The writers appear to have got bored with Moira's brain tumour storyline as it's now all about Cains guilt.
