    Exclamation Corrie Spoilers 9th - 13th December 2024

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...ber-car-crash/

Coronation Street airs a dramatic car crash next month as Debbie Webster's vehicle gets stolen.

Debbie is targeted by a thief amid rising tensions with Daniel Osbourne.

In upcoming scenes, Debbie and Daniel unexpectedly fall out and struggle to resolve their issues.

Things only get worse when Daniel's young son Bertie runs across the street without looking, forcing Debbie to slam on her brakes to avoid hitting him.

The incident worsens the existing problems between Debbie and Daniel. In concerning scenes, Daniel's dark side re-emerges as he turns nasty with Debbie.

Debbie's brother Kevin steps in and warns Daniel to stay away from Debbie. As Daniel continues to lose his temper, Jenny Connor and Daisy Midgeley are forced to intervene, ordering him to go home.

When Daisy heads out of the pub not long afterwards, she's shocked to spot Debbie's car speeding past. The incident leads to a shocking crash.

Later in the week, the circumstances surrounding the crash remain a mystery as Debbie discovers that her car has been found burned out.

To make matters worse, Debbie is informed that she won't be able to make an insurance claim as she'd left her keys in the car.

Meanwhile, Shona Platt informs solicitor Adam Barlow that she has injured her arm after nearly being run over. The accident is linked to the theft of Debbie's vehicle.

At the police station, Craig Tinker is intrigued by this revelation and tells DC Kit Green that the case seems to be far from closed.

Determined to get some answers, Craig makes a phone call to double-check some CCTV footage.

Kit jumps in to cut off the call and warns Craig that he's in charge of this case. But why is Kit trying to cover up the truth?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, December 9 and Wednesday, December 11 on ITV1 and ITVX.

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...r-exit-begins/

Coronation Street sets the stage for Evelyn Plummer's exit storyline next month.

Evelyn is heading away from Weatherfield for a while, as Dame Maureen Lipman has chosen to take a sabbatical from the ITV soap.

In scenes airing in early December, an unexpected clash between Evelyn and Steve McDonald sparks a chain of events which will result in the popular character's departure.

The trouble begins when Roy Cropper hands Evelyn an early Christmas present, which turns out to be a backgammon set.

Evelyn looks forward to a game at The Rovers, but Steve ruins the moment by accidentally spilling beer all over the board.

Refusing to accept Steve's apologies, Evelyn sends him a letter threatening to take him to small claims court.

A panicking Steve turns to Alya Nazir for advice, fretting that Evelyn wants ?325 in compensation. Alya suggests that his easiest move will be to pay up.

Steve reluctantly parts with the cash, leaving Evelyn triumphant as she confides in Alya about how the "solicitor's letter" was a fake one that she wrote herself.

Alya notes Evelyn's potential in the legal world and invites her to attend a criminal law lecture, fuelling her interest further.

Coronation Street bosses confirmed in July that Evelyn will be taking a break from the show.

A spokesperson told Digital Spy at the time: "Dame Maureen is taking a sabbatical from Coronation Street towards the end of the year. We look forward to seeing her back on the cobbles in 2025."

Dame Maureen later told OK magazine: "I had the idea that Evelyn might get so fed up with working in three crappy jobs and not being appreciated ? I suggested and [the bosses] liked it.

"She applies to go to university at the age of 78 and she's studying law with special emphasis on dogs."

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, December 9, Wednesday, December 11 and Friday, December 13 on ITV1 and ITVX.

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...nts-baby-plot/

Coronation Street airs a return for Joel Deering's parents Gus and Anthea next month.

The couple reappear on the cobbles and threaten to start interfering in the life of their baby grandson Frankie, much to the concern of Max Turner.

Max is currently playing a close role in the upbringing of Lauren Bolton's young son.

Lauren is currently raising Frankie in the prison's mother and baby unit, as she's still being held on remand for Joel's murder. She has asked her boyfriend Max and his family to help her take care of Frankie too.

In scenes airing in early December, Gus and Anthea visit the area to invite Dee-Dee Bailey to attend a memorial service in honour of Joel's birthday.

Dee-Dee isn't interested and claims to be busy, but the conversation is interrupted when Max passes by while pushing Frankie in his pram.

Max makes the mistake of mentioning that Frankie is Lauren and Joel's baby son. Dee-Dee then reveals who Gus and Anthea are, leaving Max mortified for speaking too freely in front of them.

Later in the week, Gus and Anthea meet their solicitor Cliff to discuss their rights where Frankie is concerned.

Max invites the pair back to the Platt house to spend some time with their grandson and leaves them alone while he pops upstairs.

When Max returns, he's horrified to find Gus and Anthea gone. What are they up to?

Later that day, Lauren receives a worrying update at the prison as she's told that bruises have been found on Frankie's body.

Lauren learns that Frankie has been admitted to hospital, where doctors are already running tests. What has happened to him?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, December 11 and Friday, December 13 on ITV1 and ITVX.

Weatherfield County Court will grant them custody as Lauren obviously is not capable of being a caring mother....

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...y-money-found/

Coronation Street's David Platt and Jesse Chadwick worry next week as their secrecy over Damon Hay's money comes back to haunt them.

David and Jesse are currently keeping quiet over the truth about what happened to Damon's secret stash of cash.

Jailed criminal Damon had set aside some dirty money in a lock-up after his involvement in an armed robbery, which was organised by his dangerous brother Harvey Gaskell.

The bad boy tipped off his ex-lover Sarah Barlow so that she'd be able to pay her daughter Bethany's medical bills, but the money mysteriously disappeared before Sarah could get her hands on it.

Sarah's brother David Platt was later revealed to have the money in his possession, but his surprising deception was quickly uncovered by Gail's new partner Jesse.

David considered returning the money to the lock-up but later changed his mind. He was relieved when Jesse agreed to keep quiet while he considered his next move.

In scenes airing next month, Jesse happily looks to the future with Gail and they gather the Platt family together for a big announcement.

The heartfelt moment is interrupted when Sarah's son Harry suddenly emerges with a fistful of cash.

David and Jesse try to hide their panic, with both wondering how they're going to explain their way out of this one. Will the rest of the Platts get suspicious over where the money came from?

The latest Platt drama is just the start of a busy time ahead for the family, who'll be taking centre stage this Christmas as Gail leaves the Street.

Coronation Street's new producer Kate Brooks recently told us: "Secrets come to the forefront on Christmas Day. You basically have Gail, who's going to leave the Street, but in the run-up to Christmas she has found out that some of her nearest and dearest have absolutely betrayed her.

"She doesn't know who to believe. Even her dear old mum has kind of lied to her and she really struggles with that. She's thinking: 'I don't know whether I want this. I don't know whether I want to be with Jesse'.

"She contemplates and questions everything and every decision she's ever made. Obviously Gail has had a really colourful past, so that's a big part of that Christmas Day episode, but she is there and she is going to leave the Street and it's going to be so wonderful and sad."

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, December 11 on ITV1 and ITVX.

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/cor...hristmas-plot/

Coronation Street airs some suspicious scenes involving Shona Platt next month as she keeps secrets from her husband David.

Show bosses are lining up a surprise downward spiral for Shona ? setting the stage for explosive scenes airing this Christmas.

Upcoming episodes see Shona get closer to the truth about how David has been manipulating her over her son Clayton Hibbs.

Needing an escape from her family, Shona spends a night away from home and later confides in Roy Cropper about how she's done something she bitterly regrets.

In follow-on scenes, David gets annoyed with Shona's antics and asks her to sleep on the sofa.

When Shona then receives a mysterious text message, she goes behind David's back for the second time by sneaking out of the Platt house while he's sleeping upstairs.

Shona taps on the door of a hotel bedroom, clearly visiting a mystery person. Is she now cheating on David?

While Shona is out, she nearly gets run over by a car and badly hurts her arm. She sneaks back to No.8, but knows that she can't tell David that she was injured away from home.

Instead, Shona lies to David by claiming that she fell down the stairs during the night and broke her arm in two places.

Later in the week, Shona takes a more honest approach with solicitor Adam Barlow, admitting that she was nearly run over.

The incident is linked to Debbie Webster's car being stolen by an unknown person, creating an extra layer of intrigue over what happened.

David looks set to rumble Shona's cover-up when he finds her coat in the wheelie bin outside, bloodied and torn.

He questions Shona, who claims that she ruined her coat when she fell down the stairs. Will David believe her?

Coronation Street's new producer Kate Brooks recently warned that Shona and David's marriage will come under threat this Christmas.

Brooks told Digital Spy and other press: "The Platts are at the heart of Christmas. You've got David and Shona ? and David has made massive mistakes in hiding visiting orders from Clayton.

"This goes on to have massive consequences and Shona hits that self-destruct button in the build-up to Christmas and makes some really terrible judgement calls."

She added: "All those secrets come to the forefront on Christmas Day."

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, December 9, Wednesday, December 11 and Friday, December 13 on ITV1 and ITVX.
