EastEnders? Linda Carter is to be given a major ultimatum, as her alcohol struggle continues to worsen.

In recent weeks, Linda has started drinking heavily once again, as she is haunted by Keanu?s death as well as revelations about her late father.

While her family have failed to intervene, they have become increasingly concerned about her wellbeing, and next week will see Alfie grow worried about his friend?s drinking.

In early December, Linda?s situation will worsen significantly, in a chain of distressing events in the run up to Christmas.

Ollie tells Johnny some disturbing details about his mum?s drunken behaviour, leaving him devastated. Later, Linda gets drunk again and Ollie witnesses her throwing some customers out of The Vic.

Johnny decides to confront Linda about the impact of her drinking, but she turns on her son, packing a bag and leaving to stay with Sharon.

Sharon promises Johnny that she will help Linda by sorting her out, and sure enough, she gives her new housemate a dressing down about her behaviour.

Later, Linda has a nasty encounter with Bernie while heading home, which is another reminder that she will never be able to move on from the events of last Christmas.

Hurt, Linda tries to buy alcohol at the Minute Mart, and when Alfie refuses to sell it to her, she takes it anyway.

After telling Johnny what has happened, Alfie is shocked to discover that Sharon?s house has been broken into because Linda left the door open. Sharon later comes home and find out she has been robbed.

As the week continues, Linda?s loved ones continue to be hurt by Linda?s behaviour. She has difficult confrontations with Alfie and Johnny, before drinking more vodka.

But there is hope, as recovering alcoholics Phil and Lauren offer to attend a meeting with Linda. She agrees, and Johnny is thrilled by her mum?s desire to recover.

Later, Elaine returns from her honeymoon and finds out that her daughter has reached a new low. She takes action and promises to try and get Linda back on track.

But after she is faced with a "truly shocking and devastating day", Elaine realises that she can enable her daughter no longer and gives Linda a big ultimatum.

What will Linda decide to do, and will she get the help she desperately needs?

EastEnders? Phil Mitchell?s secret is set to be exposed in upcoming episodes, as Nicola gets him involved in a new scheme.

In recent weeks, the BBC soap has continued to explore Phil?s loneliness as he becomes more isolated, with both Sharon and Kat offering support to no avail.

Meanwhile, next week?s episodes will see Sharon and Teddy go on their first date, and while things go wrong, Sharon later invites him back to her house ? leaving his ex-wife Nicola furious.

In scenes that will air early in December, as Nicola prepares to open the new bar (which she has named ?Harry?s Barn?), Teddy is besotted after spending the night with Sharon.

The new couple decide to tell their exes that they are officially an item. After hearing the news, Nicola wants Phil to try and break up the relationship, but at the bar launch, Teddy warns her not to meddle.

Nicola can?t persuade Phil to get involved, so she heads to No.55 to try again, but she is surprised by what she finds. As Phil orders her to leave, Nicola promises that her discovery will stay a secret.

This is a bare-faced lie, as she immediately tells Sharon everything, and uses Phil?s secret to try and drive a wedge between her and Teddy. When concerned Sharon checks on Phil, he brushes off Nicola?s story, but she can tell something is wrong.

Meanwhile, Nicola continues to stir trouble at Harry?s Barn. She tells Teddy that she?s changed and wants to get their marriage back on track. To keep up the pressure, Nicola calls on Phil for help again.

Sharon is furious at Nicola for her interference. She and Phil head to Teddy?s house, where the family are celebrating the successful bar launch, and reveal to everyone what Nicola has been up to.

But after this dramatic stand-off, Phil becomes even further isolated from the Mitchells, and Jay notices this. He later tries to reach out to him, but Phil isn?t impressed by his attempts to find out what?s going on.

Jay gives Phil another chance to talk later in the week, but Phil can?t bring himself to confide in anyone. Meanwhile, Teddy asks Billy for advice on how to make amends with Phil, before inviting him round for Christmas Day again.

What is Phil?s secret, and will he be able to reach out to his family?

MONDAY

Nicola Mitchell (played by Laura Doddington) is getting ready for the grand opening of her new bar, Harry's Barn

Nicola recently struck a deal with owner Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) to buy the premises formerly known as Peggy's nightclub.

Much to the annoyance of Nicola's ex-husband, Teddy (Roland Manookian), who was in negotiations to buy the business himself from cousin Phil!

However, Nicola finds herself jealous of the news that Teddy and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) have spent the night together and are going public with their new romance!

It's not long before Nicola is on a mission to try and recruit Phil to help her BREAK-UP the new couple...

Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) is shocked when he hears about his mum Linda's (Kellie Bright) drunken behaviour from his younger brother, Ollie.

To make matters worse, Linda gets drunk again and throws some punters out of the Vic in front of Ollie.

Johnny confronts Linda about her boozy behaviour and the effect it is having on Ollie.

But Linda ain't sticking around for a lecture from Johnny and storms off to bestie Sharon's home...

Elsewhere in Albert Square, Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) and Mo Harris (Laila Morse) help the men of Walford get camera-ready for the cheeky charity calendar photoshoot!


TUESDAY

Sharon Watts (played by Letitia Dean) currently has a houseguest in the shape of Linda Carter

Sharon is alarmed to hear from Linda's son, Johnny (Charlie Suff), that the pub landlady is back on the booze...

Sharon is determined to help with the situation.

But sneaky Linda heads to the Minute Mart and STEALS a bottle of booze after shop worker, Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), refuses to sell her alcohol.

The situation goes from bad to worse, when drunk Linda accidentally leaves the front door of 43 Albert Square open.

Later, Sharon returns home and is shocked to discover she has been burgled!

Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) is determined to cause trouble between her ex-husband, Teddy (Roland Manookian), and the new lady in his life, Sharon.

Nicola tries to distract Sharon by letting slip about something she has found out about her ex-husband, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden)...

While Sharon rushes off to check-on Phil, Nicola is pleased to enjoy some alone time with Teddy in the office at Harry's Barn.

Nicola tells Teddy that she is a changed woman and wants to give their marriage another go!

Though there's clearly been plenty of bad blood between the ex-couple since their divorce, is there a chance Teddy's head could be turned and he falls for his ex-missus all over again?


Wednesday

The battle lines have already been drawn between Sharon Watts (played by Letitia Dean) and Nicola Mitchell

Nicola is not at all happy about Sharon's blossoming romance with her ex-husband, Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian).

So, she's been trying to stir-up trouble between Sharon and Teddy by trying to convince Sharon's ex-husband, Phil (Steve McFadden), to get involved.

Sharon is furious when she finds out about something that Nicola has done...

Just as Nicola is ready to celebrate the launch of her new bar, Harry's Barn, Sharon, Phil and Teddy storm in to confront her.

And very soon, SHOCK accusations fly!

Linda Carter's (Kellie Bright) boozy behaviour continues to worry her friends and family.

After accidentally being responsible for the burglary at friend Sharon's house, guilty Linda continues to drown her sorrows by knocking back vodka.

Linda's son, Johnny (Charlie Suff), and friends Sharon and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) have all tried and failed to get through to the pub landlady about her alcohol problem.

Things are looking-up when fellow addicts, Phil and Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) offer to attend an AA meeting with Linda.

Will Linda agree to go with them?

Ian Beale (Adam Woodyat) is excited about the Beale's Eels Santa float.

The pie and mash shop boss has festive outfits picked-out for his family for the occasion... even if they ain't feeling it!

Lauren is still suffering because of her secret painkiller addiction.

While Ian's fiancee, Cindy (Michelle Collins) is tempted by an enticing offer from her secret lover, Junior Knight (Micah Balfour).

Will cheating Cindy sneak-off to hook-up with Junior again?


THURSDAY

Martin Fowler's (played by James Bye) world has been turned upside down by the discovery he has a son, Roman, with ex-wife, Ruby Allen

Trouble is, Ruby doesn't want Martin anywhere near Roman, who remains in hospital.

The little boy was admitted due to autoimmune hepatitis and a paracetemol overdose.

When Martin goes to visit his son in hospital, the nurse turns him away under Ruby's instructions.

However, while angry Martin is downloading to family friend Zack Hudson (James Farrar) in the cafe, Ruby unexpectedly comes to find him.

She has some alarming news about a change in Roman's condition...

Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) returns from her honeymoon

But her romantic bubble bursts when she finds out what's been going on with her troubled daughter, Linda (Kellie Bright), while she's been gone...

Elaine is shocked to hear from the locals, including Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), about Linda's boozy behaviour.

But Elaine's day is set to take an even more alarming turn...

Elaine realises that she can no longer enable Linda's alcohol problem and gives her an ultimatum...

Peter Beale (Thomas Law) remains worried about girlfriend Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa), unaware of her secret painkiller addiction.

And the fact that Lauren is being BLACKMAILED by his own mum, Cindy (Michelle Collins)!

Lauren blames her symptoms on being pregnant.

But she remains on edge with Peter and the rest of her family...

Meanwhile, something is definitely going on with Phil.

But he won't confide in his family about it.

Phil's cousin, Teddy (Roland Manookian), invites Phil to join the family's Christmas Day celebrations.

But it seems Phil is not feeling the Christmas spirit...

Teddy is thrilled after spending the night with Sharon. The new lovers decide to let their exes know what's going on. Nicola seizes on this situation by trying to wind Phil up so that he'll try to sabotage the new relationship.

Nicola's efforts don't pay off, but she refuses to back down and pays a visit to Phil at No.55. She's shocked by what she finds inside.

Meanwhile, Johnny is shocked when Ollie shares some disturbing details of Linda's drunken behaviour. Johnny tries to make his mum understand the impact of her drinking, but she refuses to listen and decides to go and stay with Sharon.

Elsewhere, Kim and Mo involve the Walford men in a charity calendar photoshoot.

After making a surprising discovery at Phil's house, Nicola promises not to tell anyone. However, she immediately goes back on her word by telling Sharon, hoping to manipulate her and drive a wedge between her and Teddy.

Sharon visits Phil, who brushes off Nicola's claims. Sharon is sceptical, sensing that something isn't right with Phil.

Later, Nicola continues to stir up the situation between Teddy and Sharon. She admits to Teddy that she wants another chance to work on their marriage ? and it's not long before she turns back to Phil for support.

Meanwhile, Linda steals booze from the Minute Mart when a concerned Alfie refuses to sell it to her.

Later, Alfie finds that Sharon's house has been robbed because Linda left the door open. Sharon is shocked when she finds out what has happened.

Phil and Lauren try to get Linda back on the right track, offering to attend a support meeting with her. When Linda agrees, Johnny is pleased that she wants to recover. Has Linda turned a corner?

Meanwhile, Sharon and Phil are both furious over Nicola's scheming and decide to warn Teddy about what she's up to. However, the confrontation ultimately leaves Phil even more isolated from the other Mitchells.

Jay senses something isn't right and visits Phil to find out what's wrong, but his digging for information doesn't go down well.

Elsewhere, Ian presents his family with outfits for the Beale's Eels Santa float.

Also today, Phil rejects a chance to confide in Jay. He also receives an invite from Teddy to join his family on Christmas Day.

Nicola uses this as an opportunity and reveals to Teddy that not only did Sharon and Phil kiss a few months back, but they are currently together now. Has Nicola wrecked Teddy and Sharon?s relationship before it has even begun?

Meanwhile, Phil?s loneliness becomes more apparent in upcoming scenes, and noticing this, Jay extends his invite to join them for Christmas Day once again.

It has been confirmed that Phil begrudgingly accepts Jay?s offer, but it is clear that his heart isn?t really in it. Will he be able to reach out to his loved ones?
