Teddy Mitchell's digging into Debbie's death unearths something shocking

Reiss Colwell returns to Walford, only to get a frosty welcome from Bianca, who has been living in Number 25 in his absence. Ever since Bianca returned to Albert Square to clear her sister, Sonia Fowler's name, she has become convinced that Reiss knows more about his late wife's death than he is letting on.

Poor Sonia is currently in prison for the murder of Debbie Colwell, but while the police might be convinced that she is a cold-blooded killer desperate to get her hands on her fiance's wife's life insurance, Bianca knows that Reiss is the one who did the grisly deed.

But Reiss is going to wish that he hadn't bothered coming back to Walford when Teddy reveals his PI friend, who has been looking for evidence that will clear Sonia's name, has got his hands on some footage from a warehouse near Debbie's care home.

Bianca demands that she come to see the footage along with Teddy and Reiss, but the slippery accountant manages to leave without her and heads to the warehouse with Teddy, panicking about what he is about to find.

Reiss watches the footage alone and is horrified by what he sees, knowing that while this footage might free Sonia, it will also land him in jail. Deciding he needs to leg it out of the warehouse he manages to give Teddy the slip and heads home, taking the flash drive with him.

Teddy isn't happy about Reiss doing a runner and tells a suspicious Bianca about what happened at the warehouse. Convinced this is the confirmation that she needs that Reiss is a killer, Bianca storms over to number 25 to confront him. But while she bangs on the door demanding answers, terrified Reiss has locked himself inside.

Elsewhere, Kat is panicking about what is going to happen in their social services meeting and continues to blank Jean and Stacey, still furious about their role in getting the authorities involved and not taking Tommy in when she was desperate.

Knowing how much she needs her family around her, Alfie lies to Kat to get her into the Vic before begging Stacey to call a truce with Kat. While Stacey might be ready to talk, Kat is fuming to find she has been tricked and isn't happy to come face-to-face with her family.

Thankfully Alfie is there to save the day and gives a heart-felt speech about family, and soon the Slaters are on speaking terms again. Kat thanks Alfie for looking out for her and Freddie can't help but notice that there is still a spark between the former flames.

When he confronts Alfie about the obvious chemistry between him and Kat, he admits that he still has feelings for his ex. But will he act on them?

Also, Barney returns from visiting his mum, but what secrets did he unearth while there? He makes it very clear that he is still annoyed with his dad, Teddy, and big brother, Harry, leaving Teddy determined to do something that will make his youngest son proud. What does he have up his sleeve?

Bianca Jackson closes in on killer Reiss Colwell

Bianca has known that Reiss Colwell is hiding a killer secret ever since she came back to Walford to clear her sister, Sonia Fowler's name. Despite no one believing a word she says about Reiss, Bianca has been like a dog with a bone and is determined to prove Reiss killed his own wife. And now it looks like she might have the proof she needs thanks to Teddy Mitchell.

After hiding at home following his warehouse drama with Teddy the day before, Reiss is struggling to avoid Bianca and she eventually catches up with him in the cafe. She knows that the trip to the warehouse unearthed something - she is yet to discover what but knows Reiss is hiding something once again.

Sneaky Reiss is one step ahead of Bianca and has come up with a new bunch of lies that explain away his actions. However, Bianca is given fresh hope when Teddy gives her a new recording of the warehouse CCTV footage.

In the Vic, Reiss lies to Teddy, prompting Teddy to admit that Bianca has another copy of the video and that she is at home that very moment just about to watch it. Reiss races home to stop her... but is it too late? Has Bianca seen the incriminating video and now has the proof that he killed Debbie and not Sonia? And will this be enough to get a confession from Reiss?

While Alfie gets advice from Ian Beale, Kat is left devastated when she meets with Tommy but he is cold towards her. Social Services say they can start to work towards Tommy returning him and Alfie admits they are desperate to have their son back home for Christmas. However, Kat isn't as positive and just wants her little boy back.

Alfie seems to have a breakthrough with Tommy and the teenager starts to slowly soften. At the end of the session, everyone is pleased with how it went for once.

Back at the flat, Kat and Alfie talk about how things are progressing and sparks start to fly between the former couple. Soon Kat surprises Alfie with a kiss, telling him how grateful she is for his support. Is this the start of a reunion for the pair?

Teddy tells Harry he plans to buy Peggy's so that he can show Barney that he can be a trusted businessman. He gives Harry the task of finding out what went on between Barney and his mum during his recent visit to see her, but Harry isn't the most kind and caring big brother, and soon his heavy-handed approach to the whole thing ends in disaster.

Elsewhere, Penny is upset when Jack doesn't seem bothered by the fact she has received her court summons for the nightclub crush at Peggy's. Everyone now knows that Chelsea Fox is actually to blame for the disaster that left lots of people hurt, including Penny's little sister, Amy Branning, who is still in a wheelchair.

However, Jack's happy to let Penny take the blame, meaning she is now planning a vendetta against her dad. With the help of Harry, she is bringing her dad down a peg or two by ruining his life... and this latest disappointment from Jack only makes her more determined to up her game.

Also, Denise is worrying about struggling Avani.

    Wednesday

Bianca Jackson and Reiss Colwell have the ultimate showdown

It's bonfire night in Albert Square, but while everyone else gathers outside for the annual celebrations, the real fireworks are going off in number 25 as Bianca confronts Reiss about his killer ways, and soon the ultimate showdown is underway.

While he might have managed to convince everyone else in Walford that he is a mild-mannered accountant who wouldn't harm a fly, Bianca has Reiss all worked out and knows he is secretly a cold-blooded killer who murdered his own wife to get his hands on her life insurance.

It has taken weeks for Bianca to get any proof that Reiss is a killer but she is now more convinced than ever that Reiss killed Debbie and is determined to prove it so that she can get her sister, Sonia Fowler, out of jail.

However, when the pair have a huge confrontation behind closed doors, will Bianca finally get the confession she has been after for weeks or is facing a killer the last thing she will do?

Elsewhere, Kat goes to see Stacey to see what her take is on things with Alfie. The former couple shared a kiss the day before and it looks like things could be getting back on track for the pair after all these years.

But with so much going on at home with Tommy and social services, is this the right time to be rekindling a romance?

Meanwhile, Alfie is also in need of some advice and invites Ian and Freddie over for a boys' night to see what they make of the kiss.

Do they think Alfie and Kat should be getting back together? Or will they warn him off?

Jack is having a bad time of late, not only is his marriage to Denise in tatters, but Penny is conspiring against him as revenge for siding with Chelsea Fox in the Peggy's nightclub crush drama.

Penny has asked her 'friend with benefits' Harry Mitchell to help bring her dad down, and he is only too happy to oblige. Deciding he could do with a dodgy copper on his side, Harry tells Jack he has got a job for him. Jack is adamant that he isn't getting involved, but Harry reminds him of the incriminating video he has got of him punching him and Jack realises he has no choice.

Harry tells him to collect a stolen car otherwise he will destroy his career and put him in prison. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, what will Jack do?

    Thursday

Jack Branning finds himself in big trouble when he's caught up in a car crash

Jack has found himself in quite the pickle recently after failing to support daughter Penny in the wake of the nightclub crush at Peggy's. Since he chose to side with Chelsea Fox, who is the real culprit responsible for people getting hurt in the disaster, Penny has been plotting against her dad with a plan to ruin his life.

Luckily for Penny, she has friend-with-benefits Harry Mitchell to help, and if there is one person on the Square who knows how to turn the screws on someone, it is him.

For the last few weeks Harry and Penny have been slowly but surely ruining Jack's life. First Penny managed to split up newly reunited Jack and Denise, and now Harry has footage of jack hitting him, something that he is now using to blackmail the police officer.

After telling Jack that if he wants to keep his job and stay out of jail then he needs to pick up a stolen car for him, Harry has got the copper right where he wants him. In today's EastEnders Jack finds himself in more of a pickle when he realises that the job that Harry is making him do clashes with Amy's physio appointment.

Luckily for Jack he manages to get his daughter, who has been in a wheelchair since the crush, to her appointment and back home just in time to do Harry's dirty work. But lurking nearby is Harry, taking photos of jack picking up the dodgy motor.

Back in the Square, Jack is distracted by a test from Harry with more demands and he accidentially drives into the back of Reiss Colwell's car, causing damage to Reiss's car, but also the stolen car he has just collected for Harry.

But more to the point, will Jack be okay - with a daughter and a Mitchell plotting against him, it seems Jack's nightmare is only just beginning.

Elsewhere in Albert Square the fallout from Reiss and Bianca's epic showdown turns out to have very serious consequences for the both of them.

But what exactly went on behind the closed doors of number 25 on bonfire night? And will either of them make it out unscathed?

    Exclamation EastEnders Spoilers 4th - 7th October 2024

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/eas...a-murder-plot/

EastEnders is set to air a huge showdown between Bianca Jackson and Reiss Colwell, as secrets emerge in Debbie?s murder plot.

Earlier this year, Reiss killed his wife Debbie at her care home, out of desperation as his financial struggles continued to build up.

But he successfully covered up his crime, and his fianc?e Sonia has ended up being charged with her murder, despite being oblivious to what Reiss has done.

He hasn?t completely evaded suspicion though, as Debbie?s mum isn?t his biggest fan ? and since Bianca?s return last month, she has been convinced that Reiss is responsible for her death.

Bianca tried hard to get the truth out of Reiss, but a few weeks ago he left the Square to go to Peterborough and be closer to where Sonia is in prison.

In scenes that will air next week, Reiss returns to Walford but isn?t pleased to see a still hostile Bianca staying at No.25.

He soon has bigger problems to deal with though, as Teddy tells him that the private investigator he previously hired to help clear Sonia?s name has acquired CCTV from a warehouse near the care home.

Bianca is keen to see the footage, but Reiss manages to keep her away. He heads to the warehouse with Teddy and makes sure he watches the video alone.

Reiss is shocked by what he sees, and so escapes with the damning flash drive. But Teddy is angry when he realises, and he tells Bianca that he has run away.

Furious, Bianca storms over to the house and demands answers from Reiss, but he is terrified of what she might do and locks himself inside.

Reiss can?t hide forever as the next day, Bianca finds him in the caf?. She once again demands to know the truth, but Reiss lies to her. But Bianca is later thrilled when Teddy hands her another copy of the CCTV.

At The Vic, Reiss lies to Teddy as well, and Teddy ends up admitting that Bianca has another copy of the footage and is about to watch it at home.

As Bonfire Night is celebrated in the Square, Reiss rushes to No.25, where he and Bianca have the ultimate showdown.

Just what unfolds between the pair is yet to be revealed, but the dramatic confrontation will have huge consequences for them both. Will there be fireworks?

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/eas...ic-confession/

EastEnders? Kat Slater and Alfie Moon are set to share a kiss, after Alfie makes a big romantic confession about his ex-wife.

The iconic soap couple have had a difficult time lately, with their son Tommy becoming violent with not only Kat but with his younger brothers.

When Jean found out what was going on, she made a secret call to social services, and it was decided that Tommy should be placed in the care of Zack next door.

Kat mistakenly thought that it was Alfie who phoned social services and kicked him out the flat, but in Monday?s episode (October 28), Jean finally admitted that it was her who made the call.

Things will continue to be tense between Kat and Alfie this week, but it seems that their feud may be resolved when Alfie comforts Kat at the Minute Mart.

But while Kat will make friends with Alfie, next week she continues to blank Stacey and Jean, ahead of their social services meeting about Tommy.

Alfie attempts to build bridges and asks Stacey to call a truce, before lying to Kat in order to get her to meet the Slaters at The Vic.

Kat is furious when she arrives at the pub and she isn?t keen to make amends, but a heartfelt speech from Alfie changes her mind and she reconciles with her family.

As Kat tells Alfie that she is grateful for what he did for her, the pair?s electric chemistry doesn?t go unnoticed by Freddie ? and Alfie admits that he still has feelings for Kat.

The next morning, things are difficult in the flat, and Ian gives Alfie some advice about how to approach the awkward situation he is in.

At the social services meeting, Tommy is cold towards Kat, and she is terrified that they will never get their son back. But there is good news, as the social worker believes they can start working towards Tommy returning home.

Alfie explains that they are desperate to get their son home for Christmas, and the session ends on a positive note when he begins to get through to Tommy.

Kat is pleased as the pair return to the flat and, grateful for Alfie?s support, she surprises him with a kiss. But things are confusing for them both, and Kat later asks for Stacey?s take on the situation with Alfie.

Meanwhile, Alfie consults Ian and Freddie ? and as he can be seen clutching a photo of his beloved Nana Moon, there could be some emotional conversations about the past in store.

Is a reunion on the cards for Kat and Alfie?
