    Emmerdale Spoilers 7th - 11th October 2024

    https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/emm...gerous-secret/

Emmerdale has revealed what Billy Fletcher is hiding from his wife Dawn.

The ITV soap had recently teased that Billy has a secret, as he was cagey with Dawn over a secret stash of money.

While some fans wondered whether Billy could be the mystery culprit who was blackmailing Dawn's dad Will Taylor, this theory was ruled out when Kim Tate was confirmed to be responsible.

Next week, Billy's mysterious storyline continues as he takes some more furtive phone calls. He also hides a pair of boxing gloves from Dawn.

Mackenzie Boyd gets suspicious when Billy asks for help finding a cheap car. He doesn't understand how Billy can afford it, especially as Billy has barely been working while baby Evan is unwell.

Mack also notes that Billy has an unexplained injury, adding another layer of intrigue to the mystery.

Later in the week, Billy risks the wrath of Dawn once again when he fails to turn up at the hospital to collect Evan, who's coming home for the first time in weeks.

The reason why becomes clear when Billy arrives on Mack's doorstep, desperate for help as he's covered in blood and bruises.

Billy makes it clear that he doesn't want to go to the hospital, as the doctors might alert the police. It's left to Mack to try to clean Billy's wounds.

Revealing what's going on, Billy admits that he was injured while fighting in an unlicensed boxing match. He insists that he needs the money to support his family, who have been struggling while Evan is unwell.

As Billy's injuries are more serious than first thought, John Sugden soon arrives to help stitch him up.

With two villagers already in on the secret, will Billy confide in Dawn about the illegal boxing club and how he's finding it hard to leave?

Jay Kontzle, who plays Billy, explained: "It doesn't go well in one of his fights. He ends up falling, damaging his side, and, obviously, he can't find the strength and will to go and tell Dawn exactly what's happened.

"So because he's already had an initial conversation with Mackenzie in regards to getting him a new car, he feels that he's the only person at this moment that he can really talk to and to try and get a little bit of help.

"I think for Billy, it's subconsciously that he still wants that person to talk to. He has that relationship there, he's got someone to take the burden on a little bit, not just have the whole thing on his shoulders."

"He explains the fact of why he's doing it and wants that support. And it's actually much needed. I think that there are two reasons for him to go there, one to get cleaned up and try to cover his tracks, and to have a friend to talk to and help him along the way," he added.

"Whether it is the right thing or the wrong thing to do, he still wants that conversation with someone."

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Wednesday, October 9.

Emmerdale villain Tom King tries to cover up evidence of his abusive behaviour next week. The schemer finds himself on the back foot over incriminating images which back up his wife Belle's recent allegations against him.

Belle has received strong support from her family since making the decision to confide in them over Tom's controlling and violent behaviour.

Despite this, some of the villagers don't believe Belle's revelations ? most notably Tom's new girlfriend Amelia Spencer and his uncle Jimmy King.

Next week, Tom worries that Moira Dingle's young son Isaac has his tablet computer, which contains damning images pointing to his crimes.

When Tom gets a moment alone with Isaac, he asks for the computer back. Isaac confirms that it's over at Butler's Farm, but he mentions where the spare key is hidden so Tom can retrieve it himself.

Tom sneaks into the farm to find the tablet, but panics and hides when Moira's son Matty Barton walks in.

Later, having finally retrieved the tablet, Tom believes that he's back on top as he confronts Belle and boasts that he's guaranteed to secure victory when they go head-to-head in court.

Belle is visibly rattled by Tom's goading, dreading the legal battle ahead.

Back home at Jimmy and Nicola's place, Tom wrongly believes that he's alone and starts to smash up the tablet computer to destroy the evidence.

Tom fails to realise that Jimmy's son Carl is watching him from afar. Has Tom finally slipped up?

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Monday, October 7.

    MONDAY

Charles Anderson already seems to be regretting his passionate encounter with Laurel Thomas - especially when her ex-husband Jai goes on the warpath

What will Laurel think as the men in her life go toe to toe?

Manpreet spots tension between Charles and Jai as the pair square up to one another.

Manpreet gives Charles a piece of her mind, and Charles is embarrassed.

Later, Charles tells Laurel all about his run-in with her ex-husband. Laurel wants to talk about it, but Charles is adamant things have got out of hand, and he calls off their blossoming relationship.

And that's not the only headache for Laurel because she's also left in turmoil as Nicola coaxes a confession out of Arthur.

Laurel's in turmoil after Arthur's confession

    How will Laurel react?

Isaac's got Tom's tablet, so Tom's keeping a close eye on the youngster. When he catches him alone, he asks for it back. Isaac tells him it's at home and helpfully lets Tom know where the spare key is hidden so Tom can get it for himself.

Tom sneaks into Butlers Farm to find the tablet, but he's forced to hide until Matty walks in.

Meanwhile, Belle sees Moira and asks if anything has jogged her memory of the voicemail she left her - but much to Belle's disappointment, Moira can't remember anything.

Belle is startled when she sees Tom, who brags about how he's absolutely, definitely going to win in court, which leaves Belle full of dread.

Once Tom's back home, alone, he begins to smash up his tablet. But he doesn't know that Carl is watching him and taking it all in...

Will's feeling guilty about putting pressure on Jimmy to sell his shares in the haulage yard, so he invites him to have a few drinks at Home Farm and promises they won't discuss business.

Glad of the distraction, Jimmy agrees and the pair share some beers. But when Kim finds them, she's furious at the state of the living room.

Later, Kim comes downstairs, glammed up for a date with Peter, her financial advisor. She's looking stunning and Jimmy's jaw is on the floor, while Will's just annoyed.

Is he jealous that Kim's moved on so quickly?

    TUESDAY

Kim is opening up as she tells Lydia that being nasty to estranged husband Will doesn't feel as good as she thought it would.

Is she having regrets about calling an end to their marriage?!

After seeing Will fume when she went out for her date with financial advisor Peter, Kim's pleased to have rattled her soon-to-be-ex husband.

Later, when her blossoming romance with Peter upsets Will more, Kim's shocked as Will reacts in his usual fashion - by punching poor Peter to the floor!

It's certainly dramatic, but Lydia later comes upon a gloomy Kim sitting in the living room at Home Farm, thinking about her marriage.

With a bit of encouragement from Lyds, Kim admits that upsetting Will doesn't feel as good as she hoped it would.

Lydia suggests that perhaps Kim's still got feelings for Mr Taylor and she's been a bit hasty in calling off her marriage.

But when Kerry finds Will at a low ebb, she could unwittingly throw a spanner in Kim's plan to make up with her ex.

Nicola steps in as Arthur's confidante, offering advice and urging him to make up with Laurel.

But though Nicola has good intentions, her interference creates a war with Laurel.

    Oops!

Elsewhere, Billy and Dawn bring Evan home and Billy asks Mack to find him a cheap car to buy. But Mack's suspicious about Billy's new wealth and the injury he is nursing.

    What's Billy up to?

    WEDNESDAY

Billy is in big trouble But when he turns up on Mack's doorstep, bloodied and bruised, can his friend talk sense into the stubborn dad?

Billy's injured and goes to John for help

Mack's got a lead on a car for Billy to buy and though Billy's pleased, Dawn reminds him not to be late to the hospital - they're bringing Evan home today.

But later, Gabby spots an anxious Dawn waiting for Billy - who's not turned up - and offers to take her to the hospital instead.

Meanwhile, Billy turns up on Mackenzie's doorstep, bloodied and bruised. Mack's shocked to see his pal in such a state. And he's even more worried when Billy refuses to go to the hospital.

Agreeing to help, Mack cleans Billy's wounds and listens as Billy admits he was injured while fighting in an unlicensed boxing match - that's where he's been getting his money.

Billy tells Mack he's only doing it to support his family. Mack gets paramedic to come and stitch Billy's wounds, but will he keep his secret?

Elsewhere, Amelia is feeling bad about having upset Sam and Lydia, so she gives them a photo of Esther to pass on to Samson.

Lydia and Sam are hopeful that their relationship with Amelia seems to be on the mend.

But Amelia is determined to make Lydia come round to her way of thinking. She tries to convince her that she's misjudged Tom, but Lydia's - obviously - not budging. Can Lydia change Amelia's mind?

Elsewhere, just as Laurel and Arthur seem to have turned a corner - could Laurel undo her good work?

    FRIDAY

Dawn is worried about husband Billy but will he confess to what he's been up to?

And how will Dawn react if he does?

After turning up on Mack's doorstep, badly injured, Billy told his mate that he'd been fighting in unlicensed boxing matches.

And though Mack helped patch up Billy's wounds - and got paramedic John to help - Billy knows he needs to tell his wife Dawn how he's been making his money.

So he gets Dawn alone - not easy with all the kids at home! And the pair have a chat, but will Billy go through with confessing about what he's been doing?

Meanwhile, John - who's no stranger to secrets himself - proves an ally to Billy in his time of need.

Is Billy going to keep boxing and putting his life at risk? Or will he realise he's making a big mistake?

Emmerdale has confirmed a blast from the past for the Dingle family at Zak's upcoming funeral.

Show bosses have written in a death storyline for Zak as a tribute to long-serving actor Steve Halliwell, who passed away last year.

Steve died in December 2023 at the age of 77. He'd played Dingle family patriarch Zak since 1994.

In the fictional world of Emmerdale, Zak has frequently been mentioned on screen in recent months, as he's living away in Scotland. News recently reached the village that Zak was unwell.

Next week, Zak's son Cain returns from a trip to Scotland and heads off for a shower.

While Cain is upstairs, Moira answers a phone call from Cain's daughter Debbie, who breaks the tragic news that Zak has passed away.

It's then left to Cain to share the news with the rest of the family, causing sadness for the Dingles and the wider community.

Cain, Sam and Belle unite at this difficult time, taking some time alone to reminisce about their father.

Cain and Sam then head off to Scotland together, preparing to bring Zak home for the final time. The villagers gather on Main Street to support the Dingle duo as they leave.

Later in the week, the day of the funeral arrives and a long-lost relative appears at the graveside, shocking the Dingle family.

Speaking about the episode, Jeff Hordley ? who plays Cain ? commented: "There's really poignant moments in it. And whilst we were filming, we were all focused and giving the script everything it needed. But off camera as well ? and Steve would have enjoyed this, because Steve always liked to have a giggle behind the camera ? whilst we weren't rolling, we made sure we had some laughs as well.

"Because when we do get together as a group, we do make sure that it's fun to film. What I'm trying to say is that the mood wasn't just downbeat, we were making sure that we were having a laugh, and Steve wouldn't have wanted it any other way."

Asked about the surprise arrival at the funeral, Jeff replied: "It's someone you might know. They're not going to make things go smoothly for the Dingles. Could it be someone back from the dead?"
