Emmerdale revisits the turbulent history between Moira Dingle, Cain Dingle and Nate Robinson in tense scenes next week.

Cain starts to worry that history could be repeating itself as he spots Moira growing close to Nate again.

When Nate arrived in the village as a new farmhand in 2019, he started a passionate affair with Moira.

Nate was later revealed to be Cain's long-lost son, who'd been using his fling with Moira as part of a ruthless plan to take revenge against his dad.

While Nate and Moira's actions had far-reaching consequences, Nate ultimately changed his ways and made peace with everyone in the Dingle family ? including Cain.

Next week, that progress is severely undermined as Moira's recent strange behaviour continues.

An argument kicks off when Cain finds whisky hidden away in Moira's bag and he confronts her over how much she's drinking at the moment.

Later, Cain spots Moira taking painkillers and assumes that she's experiencing the consequences of a heavy drinking session. Moira proves him wrong by pointing out that the bottle of whisky is still unopened.

Feeling judged by Cain's stern stance, Moira confides in village newcomer John Sugden about how she fears her marriage is in trouble again.

Meanwhile, Nate receives a nasty shock when Cain confronts him over the nature of his relationship with Moira.

Cain is irritated after spotting Nate and Moira drinking together. Nate is hurt by his father's insinuations and reminds him of the progress they've all made in the past few years.

Much to Nate's dismay, Cain doesn't seem to be listening to him. With Nate's exit story on the way, has a seed been planted that will grow into big trouble further on down the line?

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Tuesday, August 27.

Emmerdale reveals the truth over what happened to Rose Jackson next week.

Rose's fate is finally confirmed as Will Taylor's ongoing deception catches up with him.

Will and his wife Kim Tate teamed up to run Rose out of the village earlier this month, wanting revenge after discovering that she'd been plotting against them.

The ruthless couple drove Rose off and abandoned her in the middle of nowhere, ordering her to find her own way from there.

Will and Kim then left the scene, but an unknown figure later arrived to confront Rose. Her belongings were found abandoned on the ground, creating suspicion and uncertainty over what had happened to her.

Viewers know that Will is currently keeping quiet about how he cheated on Kim with Rose shortly before his ex-wife's true agenda was exposed. This gave Will a motive for wanting to silence Rose.

As we've previously revealed, the saga comes to a head later this week when Will's daughter Dawn Fletcher announces that she urgently needs to see Rose.

Dawn explains that her baby son Evan, who has leukaemia, may need a bone marrow transplant and she wants to speak to Rose about being tested.

Feeling guilty, Will later retrieves Rose's phone and prepares to send a fake message to throw Dawn off the scent.

In follow-on scenes next week, the game is finally up for Will and he's fearful over the consequences.

A spoiler picture from the episode shows Will in a tense conversation with Dawn, hinting that she could be the one to catch him out.

A series of flashbacks finally puts viewers in the picture over what happened to Rose, but who was responsible?

The game is up for Emmerdale's Will Taylor as the truth comes to light about what happened to missing Rose

Will has been falling apart ever since his ex Rose mysteriously vanished after he and his wife Kim Tate dumped her in the middle of nowhere. Not only is he tortured by Rose's disappearance, but he's terrified that their secret one-night stand will let slip and ruin everything.

After Rose's scheme to destroy Kim was exposed, Will and Kim banished her from the village by abandoning her and driving off ? but soon she was never to be seen again. Will panicked when Dawn Taylor said that she needed to contact her missing mum as Evan might need a bone marrow transplant and went to desperate measures to avoid suspicion by texting Dawn on Rose's phone.

However, Will's deception is finally revealed as the truth about what happened to Rose unravels through a series of flashbacks. Is Rose still alive?

Meanwhile, Cain Dingle is impressed when he spots John Sugden dealing with a big farming client. But soon things get heated when Cain confronts Moira Dingle over the whisky he found in her bag. Moira has been struggling after she faced the wrongful arrest and imprisonment of her son Matty Barton who had been accused of stabbing Samson Dingle.

Although Matty has since been freed and Samson sent to prison, the ordeal has caused tension in her marriage to Cain and she has been displaying concerning behaviour towards her loved ones. The devastating truth was soon revealed that Moira had seemingly hit the bottle to cope with her struggles, but can Cain stop his wife before she spirals into alcohol addiction again?

An intrigued Chas Dingle watches as her brother Caleb Miligan and Jai Sharma toast their new deal. What are the slimy businessmen up to?

Emmerdale's Moira Dingle concerning behaviour continues to escalate

Moira has had it tough recently after her son Matty Barton was sent to prison for allegedly stabbing Samson Dingle. Although Samson eventually confessed his lies about the ordeal and Matty was released, she's struggled to forgive the Dingle family for not standing by her son.

The farmer has been constantly rowing with husband Cain Dingle and her unusual behaviour has sparked concern due to her unexpected outbursts and sudden sleepiness. Moira, who battled substance abuse three years ago, has started secretly drinking again to cope with her emotional turmoil and Cain approached her about the whisky he found in her bag.

Moira's behaviour takes a worrying turn when Cain sees her knocking back painkillers, but an annoyed Moira hits back by pointing out the unopened bottle of whisky. Later on, she confides in John Sugden that she's worried about her marriage.

Meanwhile, Nate Robinson is horrified when Cain confronts him over his relationship with former lover Moira after he caught them having a drink together. Nate is hurt as he pleads his dad that their relationship is on good terms. However, he's concerned when Cain leaves to see the kids.

Since his divorce from Laurel Thomas, bitter Jai Sharma has reverted back to his vindictive ways and is up to no good with Caleb Miligan. Jai is annoyed when Caleb asks for more money to bribe their council contact and he issues a harsh warning not to be messed with.

Chas Dingle isn't convinced by Jai and Caleb's 'friendship' and her brother heads off to cause chaos at Home James Haulage. What is Caleb up to now?

As Jai mocks Victoria Sugden when she tries to change a spare tyre, John plays the protective brother and confronts an intimidated Jai.

Emmerdale's Aaron Dingle is jealous of John Sugden's date

It seems that Aaron has developed feelings for newcomer John as he avoids seeing John's date at the caf?. A few weeks ago, Aaron had a disastrous run-in with John after the mechanic bumped into him on the side of the road while he was on his way to meet a man at a hotel.

John revealed that his van had broken down and needed help, but as the pair got talking they realised that they were due to meet each other at the hotel. Aaron helped John fix the van, but moments later they decided to sleep together in the back of the camper.

Aaron was keen to meet up with him again, but John sped off with Aaron's wallet and keys in the back and left him stranded in the layby. The next day, John was back in the village, where it was revealed that he was Victoria Sugden's brother. After an awkward interaction, Aaron confronted John about his deceit, but John responded by punching him in the stomach. Since then, John has accepted a job at Butlers to earn some money while his van is fixed.

Although it looked like John was Aaron's new enemy, it seems that the mechanic is already smitten with his one-night stand. But to make things even more difficult, John is also the half sibling of Robert Sugden, Aaron?s ex. Will Aaron be upfront about his feelings for John?

Meanwhile, Will Taylor is confused when an HMRC officer arrives to check the vans for red diesel, while Jimmy King is horrified to learn that the yard's being investigated. Jimmy is fed up with how he's being treated as Will rages at him for the red diesel.

Will storms off and accuses his son-in-law Billy Fletcher of sabotaging the business. Will Will find out who's responsible for the destruction before he causes a rift in the family?


Thursday

Emmerdale's Mackenzie Boyd suffers a horror collapse

Mack finds himself in a dangerous situation when he gets blocked in a barn by a bull. In a desperate bid to free himself, Mack makes a run for the barn gate as the animal chases him. Horrified to find the bull in the barn, Nate Robinson hears a groan and rushes over to help an injured Mack who is convinced that John Sugden put the bull in with him as revenge.

Aaron Dingle confronts John, but passion takes over and the pair end up kissing. Is John responsible for the ordeal?

Later on, Charity Dingle tries to motivate Mack by planning revenge on John, but he goes quiet and suddenly collapses on the sofa. A terrified Charity panics that something serious has happened. What's wrong with Mack?

Gabby Thomas and Vinny Dingle are all loved up at Mulberry Cottage, until they're interrupted by the arrival of Gabby's half brother Arthur Thomas.

Arthur's mum Laurel Thomas has been having a hard time in the village. Not only has she suffered a horror heart attack, but she's now embroiled in a nasty divorce war with Jai Sharma. So it's the perfect time for Laurel's teenage son to come back from Australia and support her.

Arthur wastes no time in laying into his former stepdad about how stressful the divorce procedure has been for Laurel. Will Jai listen to Arthur's concerns?
