Junior Knight plays games to keep his affair with Cindy under wraps

Junior Knight has completely failed to dial down his womanising ways despite a wake up call, when his wife Monique dumped him after discovering Junior bedded Bianca Jackson!

Finding himself single again, Junior moved into the Square to be near half-sisters Gina Knight and Anna Knight and estranged dad George Knight.

After stumbling upon George's wife Cindy Beale crying into the bottom of a vodka bottle, he lost no time in 'comforting' her by getting passionate in the Beale's Eels kitchen!

Cindy may be currently with her former husband Ian Beale but she's been pining for what she had with George, even though publican George made it clear that he's not going to revisit their past, despite an ill-advised kiss.

Both Cindy and Junior are cut from the same cloth when it comes to playing away so it didn't take much to lure Cindy into extending their night of passion into a full blown affair.

When Cindy's son Peter Beale finds out that his brother Bobby Beale was promoted to manager at Beale's Eels over him, he's irritated.

His partner Lauren Branning agrees that it's odd and points out there's no way Cindy would do Bobby a favour without a scheme up her sleeve.

Junior listens in as Peter, Lauren and Gina try to work out what Cindy is hiding from them.

An old hand at keeping affairs under wraps, he offers Peter a job with him on his new contract to keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn't uncover Cindy's betrayal.

Gina Knight is sure that she knows her sister Anna Knight well enough see when she's lying to herself when it comes to her feelings.

Although Anna has been dating Bobby Beale for some time, it's clear she's been pushing away her attraction to Freddie Slater ever since their drunken hook up last August when Anna was still single.

Knowing that Bobby was completely smitten with the friendly barmaid, Freddie was awash with guilt for betraying his friend and he lied to Bobby that the incident meant nothing.

Pointing out to Anna that it's unfair to string along Bobby if she's really in love with Freddie, Gina suggests Anna face the truth.

Rattled by her sister's interference, Anna insists that she's happy with how things are, but Gina is sceptical.

Nish Panesar continues his plot to drive a wedge between Suki Panesar and Eve Unwin when he makes Ayesha a tempting offer.


Tuesday

Linda Carter is faced with a life or death situation

Linda Carter has well and truly fallen off the wagon despite promising son Johnny Carter that she's going to sort herself out.

Sharon Watts got Linda to go to an AA meeting and she seemed to be getting things back on track but with the upset of Dean Wicks' trial for Keanu Taylor's murder, she's sunk to a new low.

After being up all night on the booze, Johnny finds her in a mess and he despairs. He's done his best to keep his mum safe from harm but she's her own worst enemy.

Needing to pop out, Johnny leaves Linda in Gina Knight's care after she agrees to keep an eye on her. When he gets back things are no better and they end up in a furious row.

Pushed to his limit, Johnny storms off to try and regain his composure. When he gets back to The Vic flat he makes a horrifying discovery, as Linda's life is on the line...

What has happened to her?

Freddie Slater has been doing his best to bury his feelings for his friend Bobby Beale's girlfriend Anna Knight.

He's been sweet on Anna since long before Bobby started dating her, but knowing Bobby is completely smitten, he's done his best to keep things on a strictly friendship basis.

After Anna refused to admit to herself that she's in love with Freddie Slater, despite sister Gina pointing it out it was obvious, Gina made a quip to Bobby about taking her sister for granted.

A contrite Bobby apologises to Anna and she's furious that Gina has interfered yet again.

Confronting Gina, Anna has a big row with her about her choices with Gina trying to force Anna to confess how she really feels about Freddie.

A shocked Freddie is just out of sight and has heard everything!

Cindy Beale is fuming to find out that her secret lover Junior Knight has given her son Peter Beale a job!

Desperate to keep Peter away from Junior, she insists she's going to give him Bobby Beale's job as the new manager of Beale's Eels.

Peter isn't ready to step on Bobby's toes and explains that working for Junior is a good opportunity for him. Having failed to convince Peter, Cindy confronts Junior instead and orders him not to hire Peter but he refuses to agree.

It looks like Cindy might be about to topple her own house of cards with all her meddling...

Peter's partner Lauren Branning is sus that Cindy is up to something and wants to know why she's so keen to stop Peter spending time with Junior.

Will she catch Cindy out in her lie?

Johnny Carter tries to tempt Callum Highway to cheat on Ben Mitchell

Johnny Carter is horrified after finding his mum Linda Carter at death's door! He hurriedly called an ambulance and the paramedics arrive to try and save her life.

After she's rushed to hospital, a devastated Johnny turns his anguish on Gina Knight, blaming her for not looking after his mum while he was out, when she promised him that she would.

With Linda in a dicey situation, Johnny is grateful when Callum Highway provides a shoulder for him to cry on.

Misinterpreting the married copper's kindness for something more, Johnny moves in for a kiss...

Callum faithfully promised his jailed husband Ben Mitchell that he would wait for him until he returned home but can Johnny tempt him to cheat?

Junior Knight plans another evening of passion with Cindy Beale, who is thrilled by their secret affair. Cindy is cheating on partner Ian Beale but she's done it before so no surprise there!

When Junior suggests to Cindy that she come round to his place later for a glass of wine, Cindy doesn't need asking twice! She gets herself all glammed up in anticipation of another evening of illicit passion while Ian is away in the States.

Things are about to get VERY complicated for Junior when his half-sister Gina Knight turns up on the doorstep!

He's stunned when she explains she wants to move out of The Queen Vic flat and she asks him if she can move in with him.

Aware that Cindy could turn up any moment, Junior panics and he tells Gina it wouldn't be a good idea...

Hurt by he brother's rejection, Gina is blindsided but will she find out what her mum has been up to?

Freddie Slater has been squashing his romantic yearnings for barmaid Anna Knight, as Anna is in a relationship with his best friend Bobby Beale.

The pair have been spending a bit of time together recently after Freddie helped Anna deal with a horrific spiking incident in the club.

The more time they spend together, the closer they've become but Freddie had no idea that Anna was into him, too, until he overheard her sister Gina Knight confirming it!

Now the cat is out of the bag, he tries to put some distance between him and Anna but how long can they continue to deny it?

EastEnders? Linda Carter will be left fighting for her life next week, as she is rushed to hospital in dramatic scenes.

In recent weeks, Linda has been struggling to cope with Keanu?s death, and as Dean?s murder trial approaches, she has managed her guilt by returning to alcohol.

This week, Linda has been approached by an associate of Dean?s, who offered her a deal ? retract the witness statement she made, and he will confess to her rape.

Johnny has tried to talk his mum out of taking the deal, but it hasn?t yet been revealed what she will decide to do about her new dilemma.

Things will soon get even worse when Linda is targeted by blackmail letters, and she gets paranoid about who could be sending them.

The mystery blackmailer is also being kept under wraps for now, but their identity will be revealed this week, when they pay Dean a visit in prison.

Next week, Linda will continue to spiral, and her situation will take a terrifying turn when her life ends up in danger.

Once again dependent on alcohol, Linda has been drinking all night and Johnny has run out of options as to how to help his mum.

Gina, who also currently resides at the pub, steps up to lend a hand, and she tells Johnny that she will look after Linda.

There is a lot of tension between the Carters, and when Johnny returns later, things boil over and he and Linda have a huge argument.

Johnny removes himself from the situation and takes himself off to calm down, but when he comes home, he is shocked to find Linda in a life-threatening situation.

Quite what has happened to Linda remains a secret, but she is in a serious condition as the paramedics rush into The Vic to treat her.

At the hospital, Johnny is devastated about what has happened to his mum. He blames Gina for Linda?s current state and orders her to move out of the pub.

Meanwhile, Johnny and Callum have recently gotten closer, with Johnny previously taking him on a night out to take his mind off Ben?s prison stint.

With Linda in hospital, Callum provides Johnny with a shoulder to cry on, but Johnny misinterprets his kindness and tries to kiss Callum.

What has happened to Linda, and will she be okay?

Meanwhile, Peter gets jealous over Bobby being promoted to manager at Beale's Eels rather than him, but Lauren points out that Cindy may have an ulterior motive.

Junior overhears the ongoing discussions and offers Peter a job on his new contract. He believes this will keep Peter out of his and Cindy's way.

Elsewhere, Nish makes Ayesha a tempting offer as part of his ongoing scheming against Suki and Eve.

Also today, Anna dismisses Gina's suspicions that she's stringing Bobby along and secretly prefers Freddie.

Johnny doesn't know how to help Linda, who has been drinking all night. Gina offers to step in and look after Linda.

Later, Johnny has a huge argument with Linda. He returns after some time to cool off, but he finds Linda in a life-threatening situation.

Meanwhile, Cindy is furious over Junior hiring Peter, but he refuses to take back the job offer. Lauren questions Cindy on why she doesn't want Peter to work with Junior. Cindy resorts to telling lies to discredit Junior.

Elsewhere, Sonia is sad that she can't show Amy her engagement ring.

Also today, Freddie overhears Gina claiming that Anna is in love with him.

Paramedics rush into The Vic to treat Linda and she's taken to hospital. Johnny blames Gina for the situation and orders her to move out.

Callum tries to support Johnny, who misinterprets the situation and tries to kiss him.

Meanwhile, Cindy gets dressed up as she plans to visit Junior's place for another rendezvous. Gina turns up at Junior's flat and asks to move in. Panicking that Cindy could arrive at any minute, Junior upsets Gina by refusing to help her.

Elsewhere, although Freddie has feelings for Anna, he tries to put some distance between them.
