Monday

Nick Tilsley braces himself to call Leanne about Toyah?s condition

Rowan continues to alienate Leanne from her family and friends as he assures her she?s doing the right thing by distancing herself from Toyah?s operation and looking after number one. Mortified that Leanne would do that to her sister, it?s Nick Tilsley who?s by Toyah?s side at the hospital.

Amy tells an excited Leanne she?s looking to invest her inheritance in the new resource centre, but she?ll need to get sign-off from Ken.

In the hospital, the consultant approaches Nick with news and he braces himself to call Leanne, telling her that Toyah has suffered complications and she needs to get there as soon as possible. Will Leanne go see her sister?

Aadi quizzes Amy about her plans to invest in the Institute and warns her to think hard before taking any risks with Deirdre?s money. Will she confess to Rowam that she?s having second thoughts?

Steve invites Cassie to an evening of classical music in the park. She arrives done up to the nines, but when Steve reveals that she?s going with Ken as he?s got a hot date with Demi, how will Cassie react?

Kit moves into Glenda?s old room at the Rovers, realising it?s gossip central and will serve him nicely. What does he have planned?

Elsewhere, Paul is clearly disappointed when Kit fails to join them for a family dinner.


Wednesday

Has Rowan lost his grip on Leanne Battersby

Rowan tells Leanne Battersby about Amy?s decision and he begins to worry that he?s losing his grip on her when she asserts that she hasn?t time to discuss it as she?s off to visit Toyah.

As Leanne reunites with her sister, Nick confides in Toyah that he loves her and plans to break the news to Leanne. Will Toyah allow Nick to break her vulnerable sister?s heart?

Later, Nick listens to a message from Rowan telling him to cough up the ?20k investment or he?ll spill the beans about his affair. But has Nick already confessed the truth to Leanne?

Paul plays Kit a message imploring him to forgive Bernie for the sake of the family but he stubbornly refuses. When Paul suddenly finds himself struggling for breath, Kit is thrown into panic. Will he change his mind about Bernie?

When Dee-Dee spots a notification on Joel?s laptop, asking him to rate his experience at Belfast Airport, she quizzes him about it. Joel makes out he was meant to go for work, but it got cancelled. Is Dee-Dee onto him?

As Steve and Cassie bicker, Ken despairs and orders them both out of the house. Cassie tells Steve she?s fed up with all the squabbling and is quitting. But will she change her mind when she returns to No.1 and overhears Ken on the phone?


Friday

Dee-Dee Bailey lets herself into Joel?s flat

Dee-Dee Bailey hands Emily a fairy charm for Maeve?s bracelet, suggesting she might like to be a flower girl at their wedding. When Emily reveals that Maeve doesn?t have a charm bracelet and warns her to be careful as Joel?s still paying rent on his old flat, Dee-Dee?s confused.

Returning home and seeing Joel?s briefcase, she opens it and finds a set of keys. Dee-Dee lets herself into Joel?s flat and searches the cupboards, convinced he?s having an affair. Will she find more than she bargained for? And has her snooping put her in danger?

When Mason clocks the bruise on Betsy?s arm and guesses that the guy she?s been rinsing for cash is behind it, he urges her to tell her Mum. Will she agree to seek help?

Simon invites Leanne to visit him in Rotterdam, but when Rowan tells her that the Institute wants to fast-track her to level 8, she?s torn. Nick urges her to go and see Simon but is she still under Rowan?s spell?

As Kit moves into the Rovers, he flirts with Daisy. Later, Ryan?s impressed with Kit?s vinyl selection and suggests going out for a drink.

Cassie takes offence when a shocked Tracy finds out that Ken is employing her as his carer. Tracy then explains she?s back to see Amy, but Ken senses there?s more to it.

Coronation Street's Tracy McDonald makes a return to Weatherfield next week.

Tracy heads back to the cobbles after five months away in Spain with her new boyfriend Tommy Orpington.

The long-running character's reappearance comes just as her estranged husband Steve is getting caught up in a potential love triangle.

Viewers have seen Cassie Plummer start to develop feelings for Steve after enjoying his company in recent weeks.

Next week, Cassie is delighted when Steve invites her to enjoy an evening of classical music in the park with him.

Cassie gets excited for the night ahead and turns up to No. 1 looking glamorous. However, Steve breaks the bad news that Cassie will now be going with Ken, as he has made alternative plans with Demi, the woman he was dating recently.

Steve's thoughtless behaviour sparks a rift with Cassie, much to Ken's frustration.

When Ken gets fed up with the pair bickering at No. 1, he orders them both out so he can get some peace.

Cassie tells Steve that Ken is right and she's sick of all the arguing. She vows to quit as Ken's carer but changes her mind when she returns to No. 1 and overhears Ken having an intriguing phone conversation.

Later in the week, Tracy returns and is unhappy to find out that Ken has employed Cassie as his carer following the nasty accident he suffered at home. Cassie is offended by Tracy's harsh judgement.

Tracy adds that she's only back to see her daughter Amy, but Ken senses there may be more to it. Why has Tracy returned? And will her presence affect Steve's ongoing connections with Cassie and Demi?

Coronation Street airs Tracy's return on Friday, August 16.

Coronation Street's Dee-Dee Bailey does some detective work next week after receiving warnings over her deceitful fianc? Joel Deering.

Joel's sinister secrets could be catching up with him as suspicious clues are brought to Dee-Dee's attention in tense scenes.

First, Dee-Dee spots a notification on Joel's laptop that invites him to rate his recent experience at Belfast Airport.

Needing an excuse for why he'd booked a plane ticket to Belfast, Joel makes out that he had a work trip that got cancelled. He hopes that Dee-Dee won't do any further digging, as he'd booked the flight for Lauren Bolton to get her out of Weatherfield.

Later in the week, Dee-Dee spends time with Joel's ex-wife Emily and hands over a fairy charm for Maeve's bracelet. She kindly suggests that Maeve could be a flower girl at her and Joel's upcoming wedding.

Emily explains that Maeve doesn't have a charm bracelet, which undermines another of Joel's previous lies about a suspicious jewellery receipt.

She also warns Dee-Dee that Joel is still mysteriously paying rent on his old flat. Dee-Dee is stunned as Emily encourages her to be careful when it comes to Joel's secrecy.

Dee-Dee hopes to find out more details and spots her chance when she returns home to find a set of secret keys in Joel's briefcase, which has been left open.

Wasting no time, Dee-Dee grabs the keys, heads off to Joel's flat and starts searching the cupboards for clues.

Dee-Dee suspects that Joel is having an affair, but will she get more than she bargained for?

Channique Sterling-Brown, who plays Dee-Dee, recently told Digital Spy: "We've been filming all the lead-up to Joel's downfall. I think he's playing a very dangerous game, and he's walking on thin ice.

"It's been fun, because it's been like planning a wedding but also exploring this different side of their relationship, where he's really deliberately deceiving her to keep his lies and his other life undercover.

"Obviously, Dee-Dee is a smart woman, so she's definitely picking up on his signals."

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, August 14, and Friday, August 16.
