Not since the tragic loss of Ari Parata - played by Rob Kipa-Williams - in 2022 has there been a Home And Away death so shocking that fans are sure to be left devastated.

A grim end awaits either Irene (Lynne McGranger), Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) or Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) this week, with the future of all three hanging in the balance.

Stressed and ashamed after being duped, Irene has sought solace in the bottle and is in a sorry state, drinking away the days alone at home.

Things take a turn for the worse when, while trying to climb the stairs in a drunken haze, Irene falls heavily, landing with a sickening thud and lying motionless on the cold floor.

Having told her friends to leave her alone, will anyone find her - or has a tragic accident claimed one of the Bay's most-loved residents?

Meanwhile, siblings Felicity and Cash are facing a threat of a different kind: the River Boys.

Felicity, who is seeing gang leader Rory (Joshua Orpin), is so blinded by her new boyfriend's charms, she can't see a sinister plot he's involved in.

Meanwhile, Cash is rapidly making himself a target for the gang as he doggedly continues to look into who murdered cop Franklin.

The River Boys aren't known for backing down, and as the siblings each navigate murky waters, can they do so safely? Or is one about to become another casualty of the River Boys? history of violence?

Home and Away airs Monday to Thursday at 7pm on Channel Seven.

While marriage proposals are usually a joyous occasion, when Cash asks girlfriend Eden to marry him in Home And Away, it leaves her uncertain and unhappy this week.

Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) can't believe it's what Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) truly wants. Wasn't it only the other day he?d freaked out at the idea of getting married?

"Eden is thrown," Stephanie tells TV WEEK. "She thinks Cash isn't thinking straight and is making a rash decision because of everything going on with [his sister] Felicity [Jacqui Purvis]."

Stephanie also recalls that Eden once played a proposal prank on Cash that didn't end too well, so nothing about his proposal is adding up for her. "Eden is really questioning his motives," she says.

Eden turns to her friend Remi (Adam Rowland) - and even Felicity - for advice. They both tell her that if she truly loves Cash, she must be honest with him about how she's feeling, no matter what her answer is.

Unsure and conflicted, what to do next is tormenting Eden.

"Cash really is the love of her life, but if Eden says no, she could lose him," Stephanie says. "But if she says yes, she could end up like her parents: divorced, broken-hearted and with a broken family. That scares her."

The couple have been through their fair share of chaos lately, from kidnapping, a shooting and family drama. But Eden and Cash's love for one another is the reason why fans adore their relationship.

In saying that though, some fans are divided on whether or not she will say yes.

"Yes, marry him and disappear into the sunset," another Summer Bay fan wrote.

However, some fans remain cynical about the proposal, doubting Eden's love for Cash.

"Hope not he deserves better," a fan commented.

Will Eden turn down Cash? Or should we all be looking forward to a new Summer Bay wedding?

It is certainly looking that way.

The earlier TV Week story has Irene, Felicity or Cash as the three in the firing line, but this latest promo, shown after last night's episode in Aust (Mon 5th Aug), has either Harper, Irene, Felicity or Eden as the one who 'has days to live':

We know that (a pregnant) Harper has been seen filming recently & I believe that Cash & Eden have also been seen at Palm Beach. In TV interviews Lynne/Irene has assured viewers that she will only be away temporarily while she does her Stage Play (even though the promos/spoilers have her falling down the stairs & lying unconscious!), so Flick will almost certainly be the one to be given 'the flick'!

There has been strong speculation for months that Jacqui Purvis has left H&A. She has not been seen on set since they filmed Cash & Eden's engagement party back in March (this will go to air in the next week in Aust & is seen in the new promo). Also, apparently around that time some fans visiting the set were told by the shows security people that Jacqui had finished up. So, the strong evidence is that she will be the one to go.

With the death of Stevie recently, I thought that after Felicity's storyline with River Boy Rory, where she is now embarrassed & said the other day something like "I always make bad choices & Cash makes the right choices", combined with her most likely eventually finding out about Harper being pregnant with Tane's baby, that she would just decide that she has had enough of Summer Bay and would leave town. However, it seems now that the powers that be have decided otherwise & she will be killed off. Will it be a case of the River Boys seeking revenge on Cash for locking up Rory & Dingo? We will see soon...

EDIT: Or will they be aiming for Cash & hit Felicity by mistake? Or will it be she has a medical episode such as a heart attack or aneurysm etc?

Home and Away spoilers follow for Australian-paced episodes, which some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.

Home and Away has released an emotional trailer teasing which Summer Bay residents could be leaving.

The soap is set to air a shocking death in Australian-paced episodes this week, with multiple characters ending up in potentially fatal situations to keep it a mystery.

While it was previously announced that either Irene Roberts, Felicity Newman or Cash Newman will tragically lose their life, the trailer has now added two more names into the mix: Harper Matheson and Eden Fowler.

After posing the question: 'Who has days to live?', the trailer lays out its unlucky candidates.

First up is Harper, who has been growing closer to Tane Parata and recently slept with him after sharing some support amid his trial for kidnapping baby Maia.

The trailer sees Harper find out that she's pregnant with Tane's baby, though she soon falls ill and faints in his arms.

Meanwhile, Irene continues to struggle with alcohol after breaking her sobriety.

While attempting to climb the stairs in a drunken state, she falls, leaving her unconscious at the bottom of the stairs. Will anyone find her before it's too late?

It also looks likes Tane will try to patch things up with Felicity, while Eden and Cash get engaged.

The trailer ominously ends with an an ambulance driving up the road, but who is it for?

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
