Emmerdale's Samson Dingle heads to court next week as he prepares to face the music for his recent crimes.

The teenager has made some terrible mistakes this summer after teaming up in a dangerous alliance with local thug Josh Cope.

Samson and Josh carried out a robbery at The Hide while Matty Barton was the only waiter working. Samson was stabbed in a subsequent scuffle and lied that Matty had attacked him deliberately.

As Samson has since come forward to clear Matty's name and secure his release from prison, he's now facing some serious charges of his own. He has also risked making matters worse for himself by keeping Josh's name out of it.

Next week, Matty's mum Moira makes it clear that she still can't forgive Samson despite his attempts to make amends.

Samson builds up the courage to finally stand up to Josh after his recent threats. However, his dad Sam and stepmum Lydia are both horrified when Samson goes too far and assaults Josh.

Police arrive at The Woolpack to arrest Samson for his latest crime and Moira can't help looking satisfied by the outcome.

This leaves Moira's husband Cain to wonder whether she was responsible for grassing Samson up to the police.

Later in the week, the day of Samson's plea hearing arrives and the Dingles are anxious to find out how things will go.

Amelia Spencer is also invested in the outcome, as she worries about the consequences for her daughter Esther if the youngster's father is locked up.

Before long, Lydia arrives at The Woolpack with news from court and the pub falls silent.

Samson has made it clear that he intends to plead guilty, but what will the consequences be for him? Could this be the moment that Samson leaves the Dales for good?

Emmerdale has confirmed that show newcomer John Sugden will make his first appearance next week.

Former Coronation Street star Oliver Farnworth has been cast in the role of John, who'll feature in big storylines with Victoria Barton.

The drama begins next week when Eric Pollard's car breaks down, leaving him worried that he won't be able to attend an old friend's funeral.

Victoria kindly offers to drive Eric there and ends up chatting to the bereaved son of the deceased woman.

When the man introduces himself as John Sugden, Victoria is shocked to realise that she could be face-to-face with a long-lost family member.

Eric is forced to admit that John could be Victoria's half-brother ? her dad's son.

Later, Mackenzie Boyd is working at the garage when he receives a call about a car breakdown nearby. The stranded driver turns out to be John, who's brought back to the village by Mackenzie.

Victoria is delighted to see John again when she spots him at the garage. However, it doesn't take long before John's presence in the village starts to ruffle feathers.

Speaking recently, Oliver commented: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. The show has such a rich history, and the Sugden family is integral to that. I'm looking forward to bringing my character to life and working with such a talented and dedicated team."

Emmerdale's producer Laura Shaw added: "We are thrilled to have an actor with Oliver's talent and presence join the Emmerdale family. The Sugdens have always been central to Emmerdale, and introducing a new member opens up exciting possibilities for future storylines. Mysterious John's arrival will no doubt create a stir in the village for Victoria and the wider community."

Danny Miller, who plays Aaron Dingle, recently told Digital Spy that his character will feature in scenes alongside John.

He explained: "There's a Sugden coming in. With the history that Aaron has with Robert, it'll be interesting to see what happens with them. It's going to be an interesting few months, which is great."

Monday

Kim Tate and her husband, Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) have been acting shifty since the disappearance of his ex-wife, Rose Jackson

But Will has reason an extra reason to worry, seeing as he had a sneaky tryst with Rose despite being a married man!

Kim and Will were the last people to see Rose, after Kim gave her a warning to pack her bags and leave the village last week on the ITV soap.

Or were they?

Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) wonders what's going on with her mum's sudden vanishing act.

But Kim and Will are left uneasy when Dawn asks them to hire a private investigator to look for Rose...

Will Dawn's own family continue to lie to her about what has been going on?

And the plot thickens, when Will discovers that Kim has Rose's mobile phone...

Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) is facing a possible prison sentence after getting mixed-up with bad lad, Josh Cope (Osian Morgan).

Samson recently confessed that he lied about the circumstances in which he got stabbed at The Hide.

Samson's lies landed employee Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) in prison.

However, on tonight's episode, Samson decides to finally stand-up to Josh.

But when a fight breaks out between the lads, Samson gets arrested for assault!

Are his troubles with the law about to go from bad to worse?

Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop) is shocked when she finds out it was her partner, Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell), who was responsible for getting Victoria Sugden fired from her job at The Hide! as revenge over Victoria dumping Eric's grandson, Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant)

A guilty Eric later offers unemployed Victoria a job working at the village shop.

But will he come clean about his involvement in her sacking?



Tuesday

Cain Dingle (played by Jeff Hordley) is suspicious that it was his own wife, Moira (Natalie J Robb), who got his nephew, Samson (Sam Hall), arrested

Moira has had a grudge against Samson ever since the lad lied about his stabbing at The Hide and got her son, Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano), put behind bars.

Matty is home again now that the truth is out.

But Moira doesn't seem particularly bothered to see Samson taken away by the Police after getting into a fight with bad lad Josh Cope (Osian Morgan).

Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) is worried thinking her baby daddy Samson could get banged up.

But then she accidentally uncovers WHO grassed Samon up to the police...

Was it revengeful Moira... or somebody else in the village?

Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) is under pressure to come clean and admit that he was responsible for getting Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) sacked from her job at The Hide.

Eric admits that he wanted to punish Victoria after she left his grandson, Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant), heartbroken over their break-up.

Victoria is left reeling from Eric's confession.

After a chat with Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), Victoria starts to see that she may be able to use the circumstances of her sacking to her advantage...

Things are not right between Kim Tate (Claire King) and her husband, Will Taylor (Dean Andrews).

He has yet to 'fess up about kissing his ex-wife, Rose Jackson, shortly before her MYSTERY disappearance from the village.

Kim finally opens up to Home Farm cleaner and friend, Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick), and admits she thinks her marriage could be in BIG trouble...



Wednesday

It's been a bit up and down between Mandy Dingle (played by Lisa Riley) and Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) since they got back together

But finally, it looks like the couple could soon be heading off on their honeymoon!

However, all is not well in Mandy's world...

During a nail appointment at the salon, Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh), is surprised when beautician Mandy tries to apply a ?20 surcharge to the cost of Tracy's treatment.

When Tracy challenges Mandy about the extra cash, Mandy comes clean and admits that she is in some serious debt...

Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) is reeling from the very public arrest of Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) over at The Woolpack.

But it looks like Samson's recent involvement with bad lad, Josh Cope (Osian Morgan), has finally caught-up with him.

Although they have had a very up and down relationship, Amelia still doesn't want to see the dad of her daughter, Esther, put behind bars.

However, the question remains: WHO grassed Samson up to the Police for assaulting Josh?

Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) remains suspicious that it was his own wife, Moira (Natalie J Robb), who did the dirty deed.

But that would mean Moira has broken the infamous "Dingle Code" and gone against her own family?

Was Kim Tate's (Claire King) village rival, Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly), right when she predicted that Kim's marriage to Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) is OVER?

Ruby has recently stirred-up a whole LOT of trouble for Kim and Will at Home Farm!

After the mystery surrounding the disappearance of Will's trouble-making ex-wife, Rose Jackson, Will is on the verge of coming clean about WHAT happened between him and Rose.

Kim has already given Will an opportunity to be honest with her.

So maybe he'd better start talking.

Or else there could be BIG trouble!


Thursday

There's a BIG blast-from-the-past for Victoria Sugden (played by Isabel Hodgins)

Despite her fallout with Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell), Victoria agrees to give him a lift to a funeral when his car won't start.

While Victoria waits for Eric outside the church, she manages to put her foot in it with a handsome stranger (Oliver Farnworth who played Andy Carver/Gavin Rodwell on Coronation Street).

Who turns out to be the bereaved son of the woman whose funeral it is!

But WHAT is Eric's connection to this family?

Victoria is in for an unexpected surprise when the mystery man reveals his name is... John Sugden!

When Victoria shares her discovery with Eric, he awkwardly reveals that John could well be the son of her late dad, Jack Sugden!

Victoria reels from the revelation that she might have a long-lost half-brother...

Jimmy King (Nick Miles) agrees to give his dad-in-law, Rodney Blackstock (Patrick Mower), a job driving for the family haulage firm.

Jimmy hopes he won't regret his decision!

But later, Jimmy is not impressed to hear that Rodney has arrived at the delivery destination but items are missing from the van.

Jimmy is quick to blame Rodney for what has happened.

But is it possible that someone else was involved?

Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) is determined to settle her debts without telling her fella, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt).

After a chat with Gail Loman (Rachael Gill-Davis), Mandy is left intrigued by the idea of becoming... a financial dominatrix!

Friday

Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) has come clean about a SECRET from the past that could mean the late Jack Sugden was John's dad!

It looks like Victoria will have the chance to get better acquainted with John.

His car breaks down, leaving him stranded in the village!

However, while Victoria is happy to spend more time with mystery man John, it's not long before he starts to ruffle some feathers around the village...

Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) is determined to solve her money troubles without having to tell her fella, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt).

Mandy has stumbled upon the unexpected idea of becoming a financial dominatrix!

Despite discouragement from worried friend, Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh), Mandy goes ahead and sets-up her online profile.

And Madame Diamante Dales is born!

But what will Madame Diamante's first kinky request be?

Jimmy King's (Nick Miles) hassles with the haulage firm continue.

An inspector unexpectedly arrives to do a spot check on the company's haulage vehicles.

And Jimmy gets landed with a hefty fine!

Together with Rodney Blackstock's (Patrick Mower) disastrous turn as a delivery driver, it seems like boss Jimmy is having a sudden run of bad luck! What is going on?

Meanwhile, Moira can't hide her contempt for Samson. Samson finally finds the bravery to stand up to Josh. However, Sam and Lydia are horrified when Samson gets arrested for an assault on Josh. Moira watches on, seemingly satisfied. Cain wonders if Moira was involved in grassing him up.

Elsewhere, Brenda is horrified by Eric's actions.

Also today, Ruby's bafflement grows as a wordless Caleb takes her to a mysterious depot and gets out. What is his plan?

Meanwhile, after pressure from Brenda and overwhelmed by guilt, Eric finds himself admitting to Victoria that he made Jai sack her from The Hide. He faces the full force of Victoria's ire for masterminding her sacking and leaving her penniless. He tries to explain his recent decision-making, but Vic is too hurt to let it excuse his actions.

Elsewhere, Kim admits that her marriage is crumbling.
