Lauren Bolton is in tears next to her premature baby

Lauren Bolton is terrified as her prematurely born son lies in an incubator. Will he survive? And will Joel turn up? DS Swain arrives at the hospital intent on asking Lauren some questions. Meanwhile, Joel seethes as Betsy reminds him how he threw her out of his car in the middle of a rough estate and he owes her.

Having intercepted the counterfeit t-shirts, Beth delivers them to Sid in the ginnel, but as he hands over the cash, Craig and Kit approach wanting to know what?s going on. Will she be forced to show them what she has been up to?

Beth is caught with the counterfeit goods.

Fiz despairs when Hope dumps Sam, suddenly much more interested in Jack.

Hope continues to surprise her parents.

Stu spots Mason and Betsy stealing food and questions them both. When Mason reveals he?s homeless, Stu kindly offers him a bed at No.6, but Mason tells him to stuff his charity. Can anyone persuade him to change his mind?

Joel sees red when Betsy Swain tries to blackmail him

Joel scrolls through Betsy Swain?s social media as an oblivious Dee-Dee reckons it?s time they booked their honeymoon. Later, Joel loses his temper and drags Betsy into the ginnel after she demands ?100 or she?ll blab about him picking up young girls. Is this the end for Betsy?

Fiz is floored when she bumps into Alina in Fresco?s car park, who explains she?s been called as a witness in a trial. Will she tell Tyrone his ex is back? Meanwhile, Hope visits Dr Gaddas wanting to go on the pill. She gives her condoms and urges her to talk to her family. But will Hope keep her secret to herself?

Stu offers Mason a job as a pot washer, a decision which proves to be very unpopular. When Mason tells Betsy he?s prepared for trouble, she warns Dylan that he?d better not mess with Mason as working in a restaurant he has access to some very sharp knives.

When Leanne fails to offer any kind words before Toyah?s appointment, it?s left to Nick to accompany her.

With Sid?s job offer now off the table, Beth asks Carla if she can return to the factory. Will she agree?


Friday

There?s clearly a spark between Cassie Plummer and Steve

While at the cab office, Cassie Plummer?s eyes widen as she sees the customer?s name on an airport booking. Taking Steve?s cab, she helps Alina into the car before driving her straight to Coronation Street to see Tyrone. Alina?s furious to realise she?s been duped.

Later, Steve and Cassie watch the County game, clearly enjoying each other?s company. When Tim enquires about Demi, Steve admits he?d forgotten about her.

Max visits an emotional Lauren and insists on taking her for lunch.

Max offers Lauren a shoulder to cry on.

Rowan tells Leanne that she?s been selected by Willow to run the new resource centre and he?s fixed up a meeting with a potential investor. Later, Rowan introduces Leanne to Grant and leaves her to deliver her sales pitch.

With Dylan?s fear of Mason evident, Sean resolves to sort it out and barges into Speed Dahl to confront Yasmeen and Stu.

Betsy admits to Mason that she told Dylan that he carries a knife. Annoyed, Mason asserts he can fight his own battles. When Dylan spots Mason in the precinct, is trouble brewing?

Coronation Street's Alina Pop is taken back to the cobbles against her will next week.

Alina comes face-to-face with her ex-partner Tyrone Dobbs when his mum Cassie Plummer decides to meddle.

Ruxandra Porojnicu has reprised her role as Alina, who was last seen on the show in 2021.

In scenes airing this week, Debbie Webster and Rita Tanner inform Tyrone's wife Fiz that a trial is taking place in the UK regarding a human trafficking group in Romania.

They explain that Alina could be called as a witness over her own ordeal, which leaves Fiz feeling unsettled.

In follow-on scenes next week, Fiz is shocked when she unexpectedly spots Alina in the Freshco's car park.

Alina, who'd hoped to keep her distance as much as possible, clarifies that she's only back because of the trial. Fiz remains concerned and wonders whether to tell Tyrone that his ex is back in town.

Later in the week, Cassie is intrigued when she visits the Streetcars office and spots Alina's name on a booking for an airport trip.

Cassie can't resist getting involved in her son's personal life, so she takes Steve McDonald's cab to pick up Alina.

Rather than taking Alina to the airport as requested, Cassie drives her straight to Coronation Street to see Tyrone.

How will Alina react as she realises she has been duped ? and how will Tyrone feel about his ex being back?

Coronation Street's Dylan Wilson fears for his safety next week as Mason Radcliffe's return storyline continues.

Dylan receives an ominous threat as newcomer Betsy Swain takes it upon herself to back up Mason following his reappearance in Weatherfield.

Mason has been released from Young Offenders after being locked away for threatening Liam Connor with a knife. He still holds a grudge against Dylan for testifying against him in court.

Next week, Stu Carpenter is concerned to spot Mason and Betsy stealing food in the local area.

Mason explains his actions by revealing that he's homeless. Stu kindly offers him a place to stay at No.6, but Mason is unimpressed and rudely refuses to accept any charity from him.

Later in the week, Stu changes tactics by offering Mason a job as a pot washer at Speed Daal.

This sparks a backlash from some of the Weatherfield residents ? including Liam's stepdad Gary Windass, who makes his disapproval very clear.

Mason confides in Betsy about how he's expecting even further trouble as the local residents won't be willing to give him another chance.

Betsy reacts by threatening Dylan, warning that it's not a good idea to mess with Mason as he has access to sharp knives in his new role at Speed Daal.

Dylan's dad Sean Tully worries when it becomes clear that the teenager is still terrified of Mason.

Sean takes matters into his own hands by rushing into Speed Daal to confront Stu and Yasmeen over their controversial hiring choice.

Meanwhile, Betsy admits to Mason that she intervened on his behalf, warning Dylan that he still carries a knife.

Mason doesn't appreciate Betsy's stirring and tells her that he can fight his own battles.

When Dylan then spots Mason in the precinct, is trouble brewing between the enemies again?

Liam McCheyne, who plays Dylan, recently told Digital Spy: "Obviously Dylan is on high alert. He's very worried for himself, he's very worried for his dad.

"He's in a twist [about it], but whether Mason's going to be a bad lad or he's going to try and turn it around, who knows?"

He continued: "All I can say is we really want to focus on the relationship between Dylan and Sean. Where Mason's going to tie in with that, there's exciting things to come. Watch this space."

Coronation Street airs a frightening encounter for Betsy Swain next week as Joel Deering turns nastier.

The Weatherfield newcomer finds herself in danger as she continues her attempts to blackmail Joel.

Earlier this year, Betsy noticed Joel's creepy behaviour around teenage girls and demanded money from him in return for her silence.

Even though Betsy didn't have much proof to share, Joel reluctantly handed over some cash to avoid any unwanted scrutiny of his behaviour. He's still unaware that Betsy is the daughter of DS Lisa Swain, who has been overseeing the investigation into the Lauren Bolton case.

Next week, Betsy confronts Joel once again and complains about him throwing her out of his car in the middle of a rough estate. Betsy makes it clear that she won't let this go easily and she demands further money from him.

Later in the week, Joel continues to see Betsy as a thorn in his side and he scrolls through her social media to find out more about her.

Joel's fianc?e Dee-Dee Bailey is oblivious as she looks ahead to their upcoming wedding. She suggests to Joel that it's time for them to book their honeymoon.

Shortly afterwards, Betsy demands ?100 from Joel and threatens to tell everyone about him picking up young girls if he doesn't comply.

Joel flies into a dangerous temper as he drags Betsy off into the ginnel. Will he threaten her ? or worse?

Coronation Street fans are currently awaiting Joel's downfall after his grooming and abuse of Lauren was revealed in full in a flashback episode last month.

Calum Lill, who plays Joel, recently told Digital Spy: "The more plates he's trying to spin to keep this hidden and not get caught out, I think there's only so long he's going to be able to go. With soap justice, the chances of him getting away with it are quite slim.

"I don't think it would give the right message if Joel just got away with it. How he finds justice is very interesting and we'll have to watch and wait and see.

"He definitely could be underestimating Lauren. He views Lauren as 'lesser' ? less intelligent than himself, less important than himself. That stupid view that he has could be something that lands him in trouble further on down the line."
